I'm a simple woman, I see Matthew Goode, I watch.
So fucking painful to watch.
Almost done with it as I'm writing this, and I want to finish it, but shit, it's really hard.
And good. Very good.
I was close to stop watching the show after the first three episodes. Everyone seemed to be a self-absorbed rich asshole, the show itself seemed to be going nowhere. But I'm so glad I didn't stop watching. Episode five was the first one where I thought "Oh, maybe it isn't so bad after all." It only improved afterwards. With all the schemes, backstabbing, and generally horrible people it's basically Game of Thrones set in 2018 New York. Succession is probably the best show on TV at the moment. I can't wait for season two.
A refreshing change from mediocre CW-style superhero series. The plot has an arc, and doesn't come off like writers are winging it each week -- some actual thought went into a story. And it's done without the emphasis on flashbacks to create a backstory. Quirky... unique... engaging... worlds better than the cookie-cutter Marvel franchise.
highly underrated show!
it's written cleverly and keeps entertaining unlike other shows that get boring over time.
the character development is good.. particularly of the main character where they show his past!
it's just like The Mentalist which has a main story line which continues in the background while at the same time every episode has a new case.
this show has a lot of potential and i hope it gets renewed for a second season.
i think it deserves it.
Wow only a 61% rating and it hasn't even been released yet. It's so bad people from the future built a time machine just to travel back to warn us!
God, I still hate Lori
Beautifully shot but writers have butchered the characters, really disappointed.
Ok someone has to say it, the goofy dancing, the serious faces, the music ... those title credits are the best of every episode ... I love them!
Mostly okay, but too much airtime given to egocentric youtubers and their conspiracies that are only interested on themselves and being the ones finding the truth to be the hero, instead of honoring the memory of the victim.
Those people haven't done any good and caused harm. Why giving them this exposure ?
Beside that, there are interesting and caring people giving great inputs.
I don't know, this could have been a good work about mental health but instead it's wasted trying to be a thriller show.
The book was very good... but damn the show was incredible. Thank you Netflix.
This is what I call quite good! Better than any X-men movie, better than any other Marvel Show. Better than any other Super hero show even!
Take a scifi pillar and destroy it like one of Trantor's space elevators. Awful butchering of the story.
Daneel is not. genderswapped is fine, but he's unmasked immediately and is made into a weakling
Dors Venabili---gone
Hari is no better than a kidnapper
Reych...kills Hari what?
Pretty trash is still trash.
Best show I've ever seen. I love it almost as much as my true love.
Best this year
unlike most of the other CW superhero shows, Black Lightning isn't overblown with soap opera type storylines. yes, there is some family drama thrown in, but that's to be expected with the main character being a family man, but it's not overdone. good first episode and if this keeps up, i think we have a winner. i also have to mention his costume, which looks awesome by the way
the "Origins" mini episodes are a must see for hardcore fans! =)
A bit difficult to follow along with if you're not really interested in white collar crime but fantastic acting, really good writing and story telling. A+ cast. Paul Giamatti is a stand out. I'd personally enjoy more diversity but definitely worth the watch.
I'm really positively surprised at how well this mini-series was executed and the incredible amount of people who actually came back to do it. It was nice to experience the Gilmore Girls atmosphere yet again after such a long time.
This is a faithful continuation of a show I loved to watch when it originally aired and I enjoyed this short ride just as much (yes, even though I am a man :P) despite some tiny issues.
This is a excellent drama. I expected a horror show or something between Supernatural and Preacher. Instead I found a well written show that I plan to watch more often.
I'm not a big fan of Matt Smith but let's hope he's good in this
Everything and alot more which Vinyl was supposed to be.
Really great show, solid plot, great acting. A must watch.
Please god no! DC stop giving cw the green light for these stupid shows
The show is getting better and better! It started off slow, but I think that it has finally found its groove. Kinda reminds me of Perfect Strangers at times. I am loving the physical comedy.
Simply amazing. So fucking funny. Like laugh out loud funny. And the chemistry in just 6 episodes was off the charts. Love it!
A truly unique experience. Very different from most of the prime time TV serialized stuff. Kind of similar to the edgier Marvel shows like Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Overall, FX did it right like it does most of its shows. Special effects create the environment of mental instability very well, making you question if the character is mentally ill or extremely powerful.
I am interested if they plan to keep this within the MCU and if that means tying into other X-Men related story lines or movies.
Amazing Pilot! Love the unique and weird aspect, separates itself from all the other superhero shows. And holy shit those last five minutes were spectacular!
pretty bad for the moment
