Easily one of the most uncomfortable watches of the year. A test on your patience, empathy and digestion capabilities. Such a personal story, straddling a very red line that divides trauma and unnerving the viewer. Undecisive about whether liking it or not, but I applaud the boldness.
the killer is paul
A teenage story for teenager. One of the lowest point in the Flanagan's entire career. I am so disappointed.
It’s a shame this ended since I could have watched 100 of these shorts. No one could replace Ed Asner though as the voice of Carl.
It loses a bit of the impact and edge if you already know the book. But it's still a good adaptation. I think Hartnett played really well.
Harris picked up something here one should think about. It's not total science fiction. Yes, there is no true AI, yet. Beside that this is something I can see happening in the future.
Great concept, not the best execution. Sill laughed tho. Hope they fix some of the flaws and come back for season 2
i don´t think a lot of people appreciate what this show tries to be. I do.
I am leaving this show. not because it's bad. I am uncomfortable with it.
The people who are hating on this don't understand it's parody, right? Cause it's so obviously ridiculous from the beginning, I almost choked laughing a couple of times.
Wow. Really enjoying this
Great cast, awesome settings, fantastic characters. Just loving it.
Hilarious, tear-inducing, even horrifying. This is what they mean when they say "must watch tv".
Solid horror piece, both psychological and body. Antosca's signature shines through from the get go. It does draw back a lot from Channel Zero, but with the Netflix buck giving it extra production value. Very strong in both cinematography and narrative departments. Might expect just another revenge tale, but the ruthlessness and drive of the characters made it exceed expectations.
I’ve seen two episodes now and I’ve got to ask: what’s the point of watching this?
There’s nothing inherently satisfying about the show itself.
Just putting a twist on existing lore and calling it a day isn’t enough to hold my attention for 30 mimutes, nor any sane person, I imagine.
Are people only watching this because it sets up future stuff?
Why would anyone watch something that’s just set-up?
Projects are always supposed to function as an isolated piece of art, and not just as a piece of a larger machine.
This show is so empty, it’s the kind of format that lends itself for short 4 minute videos on Youtube.
But a feature series? Come on.
Edit: alright so there is an attempt to tie the loose ends together in the final episode, but still, it kinda fails to justify its existence.
Firstly, I love period dramas and I think Jodie Turner-Smith is an amazing beautiful actor. However, I feel her casting in the role of Ann doesn't work. I know some people many think this statement is wrong. However I feel staying true to the factual appearance of a historic person is important. This in my opinion applies to all famous and important historic persons.
Any second season suffer from the 'lack' of novelty one way or another, i expected that. Overall this second season has some good animation. I am disappointed by two things:
1. Only 8 episodes. After the success of the first season Netflix proceed like this. Well, nothing new on this side.
2. 2 episodes out of 8 are based on the classic 'robot go crazy for no reason'. It's really old, especially without any reasonable trigger.
Overall it is definitely worth watching considering it takes the time of a movie.
There were some great episodes, but most of them were too male-gazey.
diego boneta looks like a mixture of logan and jake paul, and its horribly distracting. the paul brothers ruin everything haha
Good acting matched with an interesting concept. It keeps you engaged, has enough tension and plot twists. Watched the whole first season in two sessions, I think that says enough.
Just got to episode 3 and it kept me hooked so far. If you like a show with drama, romance and crime give this one a try.
Why didn't they keep Alicia Silverstone :(
I miss her face deeply
My fave gothic romance story and love the soundtrack too. "This not a ghost story, this is a love story".
One of the best police procedurals ever made. Solid acting, wonderful storytelling, very creative, some of the best music ever to be on television! I agree with many who have commented. I wish this show was never canceled!
Never really understood why this show was cancelled..always missed.
I laugh every time is see this show. And I am watching it again for the (I lost the count) time. You become a part of that friends, you are one of them and you feel what they feel, quoting what they're saying. You even wish things went differently every time that something happens between Ross and Rachel. And by all that, every single time I laugh like an idiot at every episode. You got to love this series, forever.
You seriously couldn't script this shit.
Notice whenever someone refers to Oklahoma it's always "Bumfuck Oklahoma".
Wtf did I just watch.... on a side note, she definitely did that shit
I keep waiting for more, since the last episode really felt somewhat like an anti-ending..! Loved the show!
Completely in love with American Horror Story, again! My favourite show to date.
Great to see Alicia Florrick again. Good show and well told.
the series finale did not satisfy me at all .. :-/
