While this wasn't an amazing series, I think it was far better than reviews would lead you to believe. Overall enjoyable with excellent acting, and some majestic cinematography. It was worth the watch.
Don't believe in all the comments you see on the internet about this. People are expecting too much from productions and are used to american cinema and shows. It's a very interesting piece of art even without being that memorable. To true science fiction lovers.
Although they allocate huge budgets for star wars movies, they cannot achieve the success they have achieved in this animated series or clone wars series (unfortunate).
Three lackluster episodes sprinkled with cliches and tired concepts (except maybe "family" antagonists). At least the other DCU TV properties embrace their camp and play into it. This is just bad; trying to be edgy and dark.
This has a great premise and the possibility of being a great show, but if the Brits were doing it they'd make it spectacular and in 8 episodes or less. This is a typical American "how-can-we-drag-a-short-story-into-5-season-before-killing-it-unexpectedly” show waiting to happen. I want to love it, but it just drags on and on. 6/10
Update - someone put a bullet in the back of it's head... about 4 episodes too late. Painfull to watch the further along it went.
This is feeling like The Walking Dead. Take an interesting plot and focus so much on drama that it becomes boring. I'm all for character development but I sure hope things start to happen in the show. This is no Falling Skies nor Colony but it sure isn't The Expanse either. Jury is still out
An awesome movie, a must have in anyone's collection
Amazing episode, mind blowing and utterly confusing. Superb dialogue and terrific soundtrack.
This show went full-on The OA, I’m...
The scene between Elliott and Whiterose was just beautiful. Written and performed.
The story needs to ne pushed forward to another level. The kripton civilization is supposed to be much advanced than ours. They are more developed technologically but socially & humanly they are way underdeveloped. It's a real contradiction. They are governed by a medieval tyrannical rule. We don't see the role of media at all. How did they dare to execute a famous scientist without verifying his claims? It was too odd. I hope just that the scenarists will find a plausible explanation. Like a possible corruption of some members of the ruling council for some reasons. The geopolitical plot was not well made. I really wanted have a zoomed glimpse on krypton but I wasn't really satisfied. They could've done better. In spite of this the story has a great potential if they know how to retrieve it...
Syfy where all good ideas go to die.
I absolutely love this movie. I realize Tom Cruise is not everyone's cup of tea but a true movie aficionado can remove himself from that and see that the acting, cinematography, story telling, pacing, music, scenery, art production and last but not least the insight in the rich Japanese culture is nothing short of awe inspiring. A beautiful piece of film making that deserves your respect, even if you don't like the man in the leading role for whatever reason.
each episode is a masterpiece
