I disagree with other comments that the pacing of this episode is slow. I didn't notice it any slower than any GOT episode. Every episode doesn't need war or intensity to be satisfying. A good show needs character building to set up further story.
I just don't agree with all these comments about just watching the UK version. The Americanized Office worked, why can't this one? That is all you hear, "don't they ever have any ideas of their own?" There are countless attempts at original shows every year and no one watches them either. Starting a show with a built-in audience just make sense sometimes.
And after just seeing the hour premiere, I do enjoy it just as much as the original. They did change some of the characters and im all for the differences.
I've yet to understand the hate for this show. This is supposed to be for adults, its not going to be like Scooby Doo of our childhoods. Pretty sure Velma has always been Bi, even if it wasn't discussed in the old cartoons. I am invested in the story now and want to continue seeing where it will go.
EDIT: I did finish the show, despite it saying 80% and hope there is a 2nd Season!
Totally digging this "not for kids" version of animated Quinn! I have no problem separating Kaley from Big Bang Theory.. The more blood, guts and interesting make out sessions the better! Simply because the days of puritanical views on tv should be over! Join the rest of the world!
Black and O'Guin never disappointed me with how good Brickleberry and Paradise PD were. And so far after the first episode of Farzar, they still haven't!
UPDATE: After watching the whole season, I kinda like the older two shows better. But, its still pretty good and can't wait for Season 2!
I enjoyed watching, I don't regret it.
Soo, first impressions from the first episode. I don't know whether I like that they put the father in the very first episode.... Makes it seem like they assume they aren't going to be around to tell stories about what made the mother the mother before the father came into the picture. I never minded the "wrong" girls from the original show.
Here's hoping it won't take a year to get Season 3 on Netflix..
I'll watch anything from Happy Madison.. The stupider the better, never understand people calling movies stupid when they are SUPPOSED to be.
The writers couldn't think of a single other thing that could be the catalyst for Timmy's meltdown than 1 little fight causing all the customers to become looters and start stealing and breaking anything in sight?
This spin-off definitely has the charm of Letterkenny and loved every minute of it. But as goes for Letterkenny as well, non-US show seasons are just too damn short. Every season should be a minimum of 10eps. You just wait too long for a new season to just get 6-7 episodes. But I digress. Can't wait to see, season 2!
This episode shows a time when the Happy Birthday song was still copyrighted and so couldn't actually be sung on tv. The copyright as since expired.
Just to get a gripe out of my system.. Penny is a group friend. Prea, it is not up to Leonard whether she hangs out with the group or not!
I personally believe the last two seasons have been the best so far. I don't think there is anything to fix. Keep going like it has been next season.
Did Red just retcon the amount of kids he has? Or have I just forgotten something from The 70s Show?
Who else wants to see the what happened after Penny called Sheldon's bluff before she walks out of the door saying she's banished?
In the conversation between Queen Alicent and Sir Cristen, its obvious they are both speaking about different aspects of that night. Or were they both talking about Daemon? The way I interpreted it, he was confessing to his transgressions with the Princess. Since he didn't know what went on with Daemon that night, would he have accepted punishment if he knew she wasn't talking about him? And to her, he was just confirming the Princess lied to her.
Its been this long, I guess I can wait a few months longer to be able to binge Season 3.
I'm not going to lie, I kinda want my Netflix to look like the one in this episode, more importantly, on the website.
What I want to know is if they have an order for 70 some episodes... They released 5 episodes in Nov/Dec last year and it took 6 months to bring out the next 5? Does it really take that long to write and animate this show compared to Simpsons or Family Guy that can spit out 24+ episodes a year?
I enjoyed the movie for what it is, I had no problem finishing it!
While not as lighthearted as the trailer made it seem, it was still a pretty good story about how all stages of life can be and also change.
Who shot Karen Walker? Fine? But overall great movie, cracked me up!
I find as long as the movie is under 3hrs that the director should take as long as they need to tell their story.
I happen to enjoy this show! It got even better in Season 2!
So Leonard's ex and Rajesh's sister is Married now They just threw that in there.
or nerds, the modem and router sitting right there, why did they never use ethernet for their desk? Sheldon wouldn't be able to revoke Leonard's access to the internet.
And 7 years later, Clerks 3 was released!
Mini-gripe: They got all the sets identical to the old show except one. The jail. Come on now, how hard could it have been to recreate the old jail.
4 episodes in and they haven't left the station yet. Maybe its because of COVID, easier to just film in the station.
So awesome to see the 3rd season show up on HBO Max so quickly!
