Ah, good old 80s action cinema - tough guys, big guns, cool quotes, explosions and a wee bit of a story. But that´s OK. That was the recipe for success back then.
One of a kind movie. Teenage cruisin and racing in California in the early 60s was a thing and this is the only movie I know about that shows it. I liked it a lot. I'd even say it's George Lucas second best (directed) movie. By the way, license plate of the yellow Deuce Coupe was THX 138. Nice.
You can't handle the truth.
Never watched I have heard both good and bad things but decide now is a good time to binge the series … fingers crossed
While there's no lack of comedic talent in Winners & Sinners, and believe you me...it's funny, the story structure suffers some because of it. The first half is mostly just a series of individual sketches, but since they are so funny, I really don't care all that much. The kung-fu is top-notch, but that's nothing new when Sammo is involved.
Winners & Sinners is great entertainment, and I watch it just as much for the jokes as I do the action, BUT...there's one action scene that is iconic and is a must-watch for anyone fond of action. Those that have seen this knows what I am talking about, and for those of you that don't... I'll give you a couple of hints...
Rollerskates and motorway.
Now use your imagination, then go watch Winners & Sinners.
Probably my favorite show at the time it aired... shame it was cancelled!
