After you have watched the first two episodes stop because nothing happens after that
Having been a die-hard fan of the video games I have high hopes (but low expectations) that this show will be awesome! I felt Silo had a very Fallout feel to them and if this is at least as good as Silo has been then this will be a winner!
They completely nailed the look, feel and vibe of the games and it's fucking amazing.
I don't want this show to be over!
I have watched him for 20years. He has become insufferable. Now just a fake liberal chasing the dollar. I'm out.
It's Community without the charm or talent.
I really enjoyed this show, and honestly if @mellowB hadn't watched it, I probably would have ignored it indefinitely. This show had such potential and I found it quite funny from the get-go, and wish we could see where this would have gone, but thanks for the short ride any way. ALso, as a side note, it was the title of the show that made me ignore it.
Since reading "The Incal" by Jodorowsky and Moebius as a teenager, I have rarely experienced such an intense explosion of creativity and imagination, packaged in such a mature and non-intrusive manner. No unnecessary techno blabber, no expositional dialogues, no hand holding. The story holds up on so many levels 9/10
Six episodes in and this show is amazing, one of the best sci-fi works of Tv (animated or live action) I've ever seen. This show takes obvious inspiration from the greats of the genre, mainly Solaris (the OG book by Lem and the Tarkoviskij movie) and Moebius, as if feels like one of the great french sci-fi comics brougth to glorious life with it's fantastic animation. Expect a vivid and wild world that feels both alien and surreal like few other shows or movies while still being very grounded and alternating between peaceful serenity and the bleak horror of an uncaring universe.
“Amazon Prime making Stranger Things, but different enough to avoid a lawsuit.”
It’s actually based on a comic series. I have read a little bit of it and it’s not Stranger Things.
This isn't what I expected. I was just imagining Big Bang Theory-esque scenes, but this is more like In the Middle with Sheldon. I like it. Still had me cracking up too.
I love the Conners with or without Rosie. It's a true ensemble cast. Everyone's got plenty of dimensionality, plenty of screen time, plenty of pathos, plenty of story. Great show that is what it is.
That show is amazing. I loved every bit of it. But my most beloved memory is the Carrie Fisher-episode and I think about that very often.
Really entertaining series with lots of great characters. Kaleb definitely needs his own show. That guy's a comedy genius
Louis CK & Pamela Adlon.. What can go wrong? Pamela's time to shine!
It's a funny and relatable show. Family issues, especially some unique to 1st and 2nd generation immigrant families. One of the best shows out right now. No formulaic sitcom tropes, which is great to see
For a spin off of a derailed reboot, this show might have landed on its feet. It attempts to be edgy and progressive in every way possible in constant small doses. It inserts elements of the current political climate in an ironic way.
Slightly more entertaining than boring.
(edit) Show has been awhile now. I do not recommend. 4/10.
Back in Lanford for the second season without the banshee. Didn’t actually think they would renew this one but am glad they did. An excellent comedy and cast.
Brilliant show. After MTV Faking It was not renewed, I had to follow my actress. Happy I was loyal. Funny and enlightening.
Extremely funny, very sad, depressing and uplifting #AfterLife is not only one of the best Netflix Originals but flat out one of the best shows on Netflix full stop. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
This show is unbelievably dark. It really makes you think about how workplace comedies rely on a culture that celebrates labor when confronted with a comedy that is not buying into that. There is not a single throwaway episode. The depths they plumb to reflect the experience of a young working person in the US right now are so unflinching, and that’s only half the story. The other half is a harrowing and HILARIOUS look at corporate corruption from the top down. There’s literally episodes about starting a war to increase profits, and another about pitching new ideas for addictions. It goes there and it’s not worried about making you uncomfortable. Once you accept that you will be made fun of you will laugh so hard it hurts.
Very stupid and absurd show, and the best important for me: make me laugh, that's so good!!
My god, I tried CW I really did but I couldn't even finish. This show had so much potential to be a comfy family lite drama/comedy and to an extent it was, but it got clogged and overshadowed by the whole unnecessary Stella, Wes, Dr. Grant, Pippa love square that just killed it for me. Maybe I could've handled a Dr. Grant (who by the way is a homewrecking creep) triangle cause stuff like that actually happens but once they threw Pippa into the mix and kept forcing all the fake drama it was I knew this show was DOA. A damn shame.
Pros:
-Great cast that actually has chemistry.
-Decent/Good acting.
-Has some genuinely heartwarming moments at times.
Cons
-Fake drama by the buckets to the point where it gets physically uncomfortable. So yea just the writing in general.
-Kinda slow/boring at times.
You got a day to burn? yea binge it whatever.
6.5/10
Some people seem to have bizarre expectations for this show...it's a The Soup reboot under a different name. It's Joel showing clips and making fun of reality TV. Mindless entertainment. The aim isn't sharp multifaceted comedy of the type we got in Community.

Trakt doesn't allow emojis in comments, but If it were, my comment would be somerhing like: The soundtrack in this show is fire emoji fire emoji fire emoji.
Monologue is ok and side stuff is similar to what he did with his old show which was great, solid interviews which are normally lacking in other late night shows like The Tonight Show where they just pander to the guest and don't add anything to the conversation other than prescript-ed answers.
All in all good show and here's hoping Colbert can keep this going for many years.
It's really sad because they canceled this series. This show actually got potential, in the midst of the others DC superheroes series where the stories were dark and heavy and complicated, Powerless was like a breeze of fresh air. The one-liner about the DC heroes/villain, and all others one-liner jokes out. Yeah the first few episodes were cringe but then it got smooth over, I think it was around episode 5 or 6 where the story was getting better. I hope they will air the remaining episodes
