I'm fully in love with the way this show lets its characters fail in front of each other, the way characters call each other out for wrong-ass behaviour, the way forgive and reconcile... folks seeing each other, showing each other kindness. Even though it's paper-thin in some areas, the areas in which Ted Lasso are trying the hardest to succeed (humour through character and empathy, mainly), it's just f*ing **excelling. Also: Hannah Waddington is just ridiculously good in this episode. I know I've seen her in several things over the years, but I hadn't quite noticed how great she is at the acting until this role.
"How can you arrest a house?"
Never change Grog, you majestic motherfucker.
You guys hid Liz all this while to end up with..what is this.
Now THAT is how you write TV. One word, that last word, took this episode from great, to un-fucking-forgettable.
What in the Donald Duck in Mathmagicland did I just watch??
This might be my new favorite episode.
That ending musical montage was brutal. Merciless. It had me ugly crying, wtf!
Absolutely losing my mind over that psychic scene.
Can't wait to watch this when Christmas actually comes around :)
Liked Megan Boones acting in this episode. I remember when she was the new girl and we wondered why they picked this actress. She's done well.
Raymond was really reaching heart stuff
Groot really getting his ass handed over to him by a whole bonzai tree;
anyway great animation & i'm loving that intro animation and the way he just casually skips it
Patrick Stuart/Picard still manages to inspire, on and off screen. The “fear is fear” speech made me cry a little
My favorite bluey episode and makes me tear up every time.
PURE KINO
ALL SOUL
NO FILLER
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNAPOLOGETIC ART
Nice to see an episode focused on Beverly Crusher, and she carried the protagonist flag like a champ!
This episode lightly dabbled with issues like loneliness, craziness, losing the ones you love, despair, but, most of all, it delivered some truly fine sci-fi.
I loved what Liz said about double standards. The writers are even spelling it out for the Elizabeth haters.
Amanda <3 be still my heart
“This is gonna be a gas.” :joy: Good one liner by Restler.
Overall, the animation was a bit stiff, but perhaps expected as such given the incredible short notice with which the project to produce it must have been thrown together. The inventive transitions helped. In the end, I appreciate the dedication that brought it to us rather than simply letting the season effectively dangle after ep. 18.
I wonder how much of Elizabeth's IMO-far-too-easy slide completely over to the Mom Side (my only real problem with the plot development here) was rushed by the need to complete it with this one episode as opposed to across the originally planned four episodes that this one effectively replaced.
This episode was awesome! And the ending... now I can’t wait for episode 5. The only thing I don’t like is Narek and his scenes with Soji. They have no chemistry and their story is so boring.
One of the best episodes! Bluey and Bingo mirroring evolution of the species while ageing metaphorically, was brilliant!!
This series don’t have the right to be that wholesome. This episode is perfect.
It is rather amazing how richly these few well-chosen flashback-brushstrokes of Kate/Kaplan's past fleshed out her history and motivations toward both Masha/Elizabeth and Raymond, as well as why she acted to help Liz behind Redd's back the way she did. A masterful filling-in and tying together of so much.
Honestly, after all this, it's become difficult to decide who should come out on top between Raymond and Kate (if either one truly must). Kate seems to be the only one who fully understands how Raymond's original mission of protection has evolved into an unshakable obsession of control to the point of itself repeatedly threatening the mission...
I was a bit emotional. Aram's computer software description does not sound that impressive and there was too many hyphens. Ressler really needs a shave and haircut. I miss Liz now!
Palpatine and Anakin….together again.
Didn't mention it the last 2 times, but I just LOVE the "nicknames" or "professions" written below the judges' names (like "French Willy Wonka" in the last episode xD), and also loving how the Frosted Tip sections have become just as trolling as the nicknames. :'D
The closest we will get to a Bluey movie. It was pretty awesome. I'm glad they are staying put.
There it is, finally the ace is played. It's a great delight when you know that it's going to happen but you don't know exactly how, and then WHAM, right between the eyes. Good times.
This is not just the funniest episode of "Bluey" but probably the funniest thing I've seen in weeks, period.
Hilarious writing, especially for a kids show.
