Groot really getting his ass handed over to him by a whole bonzai tree;
anyway great animation & i'm loving that intro animation and the way he just casually skips it
[Disney+] Progressively, the series has been transformed from a children's proposal that adults can watch, to a story that addresses adult themes that child viewers can also enjoy. In fact, that this episode exceeds the usual length is an approach that seems to have more of an eye on adult viewers than on children. The structure of this episode allows the creation of two parallel plots that nevertheless come together intelligently in the main idea, which talks about the difficult decisions that are made to achieve greater family well-being, even if this means leaving some important things behind. It is a beautiful story, more emotional than funny, with a certain farewell tone. If throughout its three seasons it has achieved some of the best children's episodes of recent times, this one is outstanding, with some especially exciting sequences such as the final montage with the acoustic version of the song "Lazarus drug", performed by the singer Meg Washington.
One of the best episodes! Bluey and Bingo mirroring evolution of the species while ageing metaphorically, was brilliant!!
This series don’t have the right to be that wholesome. This episode is perfect.
The closest we will get to a Bluey movie. It was pretty awesome. I'm glad they are staying put.
That ending musical montage was brutal. Merciless. It had me ugly crying, wtf!
Good 'ol Rob Ford. Best episode so far. I nearly didn't watch it
It's been years since we heard about the crack smoking mayor of Toronto rest in peace Rob Ford
Heres a link to the infamous video
i get why the showrunner/writers thought they needed to work up to this episode, but this—a splashy, real life scandal that was inescapable to any semi socially aware adult alive at the time—should’ve been the pilot episode. it draws the viewer in with a compelling take on a familiar story while subtly introducing the characters and revealing their quirks and ticks. an easy choice for a pilot, especially when compared to the actual pilot, which was an absolute bore and a let down of even a filler episode.
but given that the episodes after this are well written and interesting, perhaps there was some studio interference or episode scrambling that made things as they are. who knows.
but i’ll always take a show working it’s way up to greatness over a show with a good start that descends into the inane.
it’s still L&O in the mildest sense, but ive gotten used to the almost potent politeness of the tone lol. and, after the grit and brass and sometimes exhausting showiness of the US line up, the meek lull of this series is a welcome respite.
What in the Donald Duck in Mathmagicland did I just watch??
This might be my new favorite episode.
Absolutely losing my mind over that psychic scene.
Patrick Stuart/Picard still manages to inspire, on and off screen. The “fear is fear” speech made me cry a little
There it is, finally the ace is played. It's a great delight when you know that it's going to happen but you don't know exactly how, and then WHAM, right between the eyes. Good times.
This one obviously should be watched before Christmas Swim, so it's annoying it shows up after it on Disney+. Yet another episode that's really more about the adult's lives as seen through the lens of the kids adventures.
This is not just the funniest episode of "Bluey" but probably the funniest thing I've seen in weeks, period.
Hilarious writing, especially for a kids show.
This really is a kids shows specifically written for parents.
JESUS WAS THAT A MISSCARAGE IMPLICATION?
this show just can't stop surprising me.
My favorite bluey episode and makes me tear up every time.
PURE KINO
ALL SOUL
NO FILLER
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNAPOLOGETIC ART
It is rather amazing how richly these few well-chosen flashback-brushstrokes of Kate/Kaplan's past fleshed out her history and motivations toward both Masha/Elizabeth and Raymond, as well as why she acted to help Liz behind Redd's back the way she did. A masterful filling-in and tying together of so much.
Honestly, after all this, it's become difficult to decide who should come out on top between Raymond and Kate (if either one truly must). Kate seems to be the only one who fully understands how Raymond's original mission of protection has evolved into an unshakable obsession of control to the point of itself repeatedly threatening the mission...
The thing that is absolutely fascinating, is that we didn't see him kill her. And i thought he might be innocent. I'm not sure really. The detectives and the prosecutor kinda twisted things?
I'm not sure...
And another odd aspect, is that body that washed up. It had it's arms severed with surgical precision, yet wasn't the woman in question's body. So why was that mentioned?
I don't know if he was guilty or innocent. A lot of the things could be coincedence, like getting bath mats. Though... There was the aspect of the surgical cleaner in the drains. Although didn't they say it LOOKED like it? Or even if there WAS that stuff in the drains, it could be natural cleaner or some other reason. But it is suspicious, as is the paint and bath mat.
But it is very interesting in this episode how you don't really know if he's guilty or innocent. The guy and the prosecutor were quite confident, but the woman had doubts. I have doubts, too. The guy mainted his innocence all through the episode and he was quite passionate sometimes about his innocence. Even though he was an asshole, that doesn't make him guilty of being murderer. But i guess it makes you more look like one, and that could also be a lesson in society. Don't be an asshole.
"How can you arrest a house?"
Never change Grog, you majestic motherfucker.
I was a bit emotional. Aram's computer software description does not sound that impressive and there was too many hyphens. Ressler really needs a shave and haircut. I miss Liz now!
Oh, I needed that. You can call it low hanging fruit, but I call it dopamine city
:joy:
Wholesome Christmas episode. I love Keeley and Roy. That classic balance of light and dark, happy and grumpy.
Can't wait to watch this when Christmas actually comes around :)
Nice to see an episode focused on Beverly Crusher, and she carried the protagonist flag like a champ!
This episode lightly dabbled with issues like loneliness, craziness, losing the ones you love, despair, but, most of all, it delivered some truly fine sci-fi.
Palpatine and Anakin….together again.
