worst episode in drag race history
Acid Betty rolls her eyes so much in this episode, I thought they would stay at the back of her head and never come back.
I can't believe on those runway looks. Seriously, Madonna has over 30 years of career and everyone do gueisha?
Oh I am soooooo glad they kicked Acid Betty to the curb! Lawdamercy... couldn't stand her snarky, superior, arrogant self. Yay for Bob The Drag Queen!!
Derek should not have lasted this long with drag this terrible! And so mean on top of that? Bye guuurl, good riddance!
"Oh God, he can't stand. The ovation is insensitive, everybody down!" was genius and hysterical.
So were many comments made regarding similar topics and social concepts entertaining. Like the ramp thing.
If it can keep this up I sense a great new comedy show.
I also really, really like the reactions of the audience over at IMDB and RT for this pilot.
People claiming this is offensive and disgusting to make fun of a handicapped person like they allegedly do here.
I hate it, when you criticise something and someone else says to you, you mistunderstood it. Especially in anime this is an annyoing comeback to any criticism. If you don't like Minnie Driver and find her overbearing here, sure, okay. That's one thing.
But I think in this case it is pretty obvious that the comedy pokes fun at how we perceive disabled people and treat them. How we claim we want them to be included but exclude them even more as a society. By complaining how offensive this is, you do the same thing. It's the classic issue: should we include a person with a specific attribute by making fun of something regarding it or should we not, to not point that attribute out but exclude that person in the process and handle that person special that way?
Example for criticial undertones:
The school is for inclusion. So they got rid off the male-sexual-aggression-Viking mascot. It could be a reference to 3rd wave feminism. Because everything slightly "too male" is automatically considered bad and needs to be changed to not offend anyone.
The ramp thing in the back of the building by the dumpsters: inclusion by separating wheelchair and non-wheelchair, letting the former sneak in out of sight.
The ovation thing (and making him a candidate for president) references those paradox situations as well. A "don't offend anyone" mentality where you accidentally do stuff that could be considered offensive nevertheless, even if the opposite is your actual intention. While it's not necessarily pointed out by the person that should be offended but by others "for" them.
The AV club has a good review for the first two episodes

I realize there'll never be any sort of a romantic relationship between Mary and Darnley, but I want so bad for them to at least be allies. Why can't he stay a decent human being for more than a little while at a time? They could be so good for eachother if he wasn't such a power hungry jerk.
I'm diggin' this Archduke dude, I so hope he doesn't turn out to be a creep. Elizabeth would be so much more chill if she were to find love with someone of her station. I do wonder what will happen to Gideon now, though.
And Henri is such a cocky, overconfident a-hole. I love him!
Well, anoyone who knows the history of Scotland knows that David Rizzio (Riccio) was murdered in front of Queen Mary (Stabbed multiple times). Good thing that the show producers stick to the history facts and didn't alter it, even though it is very sad to see. But everyone knew it was coming anyways. This episode was good! everything about it was good. I liked the song played when Mary was hiding to meet with Rizio and Lord Bothwell also the one when she was escaping with Lord Darnley :)
The episode did not disappoint, as usual. I very much enjoyed it! Can't wait to see what happens next regarding Mary :)
"Every time someone steps up and says who they are the world becomes a better, more interesting place, so thank you." <3<3<3
NOW THAT WAS THE FACE CRACK OF THE SEASON.
I am a little disappointed that Dela won't be continuing to the end, but obviously the responsibilities of winning weren't easy for her. She deserved to win the title, but she won on her own terms an I'm proud of my fave campy queen. What a way to go.
Also it was really sweet that she brought Morgan back. Like everything came full circle and I was kind of touched. I'm excited to see what Morgan brings to the competition
(GASPS IN SPANISH) I'M SHOOK, BUT YOU KNOW, SHE LEFT BY HER OWN TERMS & CONDITIONS, SHE SLAYED THE COMPETITION THE WHOLE TIME. WHATAKWEEN
Interesting and lovely Bill Plympton (Plymptoons) animation for the couch gag; reminds me of something I used to see on MTV
And Amazon owning CircuitCity, hehe, that'd would be something :-)
I am confused. They actually made some significant changes to the group's life, they even made Stuart successful and they introduced a cool nerdy girl, and at the end of the episode they didn't ruin it again for everybody! That's not the TBBT I'm used to. And I like it.
Unsurprisingly, Brooklyn continues to knock it out of the dang park week after week. This is one of the best episodes they've ever done! Loved every single thing about it. Especially that ending <3
Ok, we got a Peraltiago "I love you", we got Jake worried about what it would mean for Amy if something happened to him, we got Jake being THE emotional support of the squad after a little talk with Holt, we got a Rosa + Jake (best friends) hug and we got that beautiful scene at the end Gina + Amy + Rosa not afraid of showing how much they love each other.
THIS SERIES IS A BEAUTIFUL, CHUBBY LITTLE BABY AND I`LL PROTECT IT FOREVER.
Isobel's story was included in this season as if it was just another side plot... only to leave us absolutely devastated this episode. I did not see all these feelings coming! Don't leave us, stay another episode at least... ah, everything about it was sad, but what made it even more sad for me was Rahul Kohli. Damn, that's some acting right there.
That said, I have multiple issues with this episode. We finally had a payoff with Major's infiltration mission... which ended on a terrible note. I was a bit unhappy about Chase simply shooting the girl, it doesn't really fit with the Chase who hesitated before killing Mama Leone. I have problems there, because it's too convenient (the shooting) for Major to definitely hate and work against Chase later on... but well. I like how Chase's expression immediately changed sensing something went wrong before they even knew.
Also, I feel like iZombie is struggling hard with the "cases of the week"... As fun as it is to find out what brain Liv will be on next, I feel like they're doing so well with the stories that carry over through multiple episodes, having them spend time on explaining cases seems like a waste. I keep seeing scenes in the interrogation table and tuning off or just thinking "whatever, show us what the others are up to".
All these sick jokes were probably to lessen the impact of her death. I still didn't like 'em, I also think they let her die wayyy too soon, yet the season is at a close so we need to shakes things up. Right?
The writing has been really subpar this season overall. But then again, having her stay longer makes the audience more attached to her. So that character was a lose-lose situation from the get-go anyway.
It was a short pleasure nontheless. Isobel enriched the series and gave the show some spark back, something that was missing for this entire season and a lot in S3. It was great as well having her break the fourth wall at the end. A last farewell in a sense to the audience, kinda reminds me off that one particular character in OitnB.
These kind of cliffhangers are why people go bald
Omg finally they are married but holy shit that cliff hanger!
I AM DEVASTATED. I really love kameron and cracker, but I think cracker deserved one more chance it was her first lypsinc
I want to "touch" up on the part where they fist bumped; this is just my speculation, but it seems dangerous to even interact with the kid in the cell, and touching him would be the catalyst that would drive you completely mad as if the kid is in control of the body. I have an inkling, and imagine what would happen if Molly were to touch Henry.. Maybe she did that one time, and that's why Henry has no memory of the murder. What if both Molly and the kid has the Shining ability, but are completely opposite of one another.
Very poor acting from Crystal Reed and those accents were the worst in TV history. JD should have had them speak actual French, with subtitles. Subpar episode, from one of the most mediocre shows on TV. Shame really, because the earlier seasons were stellar.
Did they spend so much money on the shitty CGI beast that they can't afford to properly light scenes?
What on earth were those accents?? "Ze 'unting partiee leafs at dorn"???? What are you doing!?
The episode turned out better than expected tbh, but all in all there's still so much wasted potential.
I can't believe they just killed the Antichrist by traveling back in time and running him over with a car. It's just so cheap.
I also don't really understand how the two kids with extraordinary genes from the first episodes managed to birth the next Antichrist and what even made them special in the first place (I saw theories they might be the alien children from Asylum but I doubt the writers even thought that far), what the point of Coco's power was, why Mallory was the most important character but was so bland and had no real development or why we even had a whole Murder House sequel episode when it's all undone again now anyway. Just to throw some unsatisfying things out there. Though the most unsatisfying thing has to be the Antichrist - How can anyone take him seriously after we know he's basically just a 6 year old who feels abandoned by mommy and daddy?
Just watched the pilot episode and I think it's going to be a winner (full disclosure, I'm rather partial to Nathan Fillion). Great ensemble cast. Good storytelling. Interesting interpersonal dynamics. I'm giving this pilot an 8 (great) out of 10, with anticipation it is only going to get better. [Cop drama]
Seriously?! I had a feeling I'd watch this whole season and then they'd leave it on a super dumb ending to make us tune in a year from now.
Henry, the key, Mac now having the curse... sigh
Wow, those flashback scenes added a whole new dimension to the story.
Welp.... it doesn’t really matter what happens in the rest of the season now
