The best episode of TBBT in years! That "flashback" plot make it funny to watch, the nostalgia of seeing like they were before (creepy nerds) like in the past seasons, not the shitty plot of the current season in the style of "Friends".
So, basically Sheldon stole an unknown amount of money from his friends and they let it slide?
Yeah, no. That's not funny and definitely by far not the best episode in years.
It once again shows how far Sheldon is willing to go to get his way while everyone around him suffers the consequences.
Especially the Stuart part was simply stupidity driven. If I find a flashdrive, I wouldn't blindly erase it and if I had a store I definitely would put it in a Lost & Found box. That's the least bit of responsibility you could expect even from Stuart.
Somehow I feel like the part with the laptop is something we've seen before exactly like that. I do have Ross Geller with a glass of wine in his hand in mind but I doubt it was from Friends.
Ok ish episode. I mean I waited 19 years for this since I was 11 years old. And I got pretty hyped up the last past weeks. But I don’t know what it is, I didn’t feel much this episode. Don’t get me wrong, visually & casting wise it’s perfect. But Aang talking to Iroh and knowing who he is in episode 1? Doesn’t feel right. Katara can suddenly do some major bending at the ending of the episode and saves the day? Going to the Southern Airtemple for like 5 minutes, while this is like a full and emotional episode in the anime, felt now rushed and didn’t move me at all. In my opinion this episode should have been divided in 2 episodes that are 50 mins each. But it’s still early to tell how everything will play out. Hopefully I am wrong and it will get better. Please let me be wrong.
Omg Christopher is SO FUCKING ANNOYINGGGGGG. That letter was nothing close to a love letter. I also can not wrap my head around how Emily and Richard think Christopher is good for Lorelei knowing he left her with her child and only came back i to her life when it was convenient for him and was never even worried about his daughter. He feels threatened by anyone that reminds him how much of a shitty whiny privileged little man child he is and it’s honestly sickening everytime he comes on screen.
Zuko and Iroh are the best part about this show by far, their relationship and characters and backstories have been well depicted and well paced. They carry all the right emotion when needed, Zuko is as serious as suits his character, and Iroh is silly enough to bring that lightness to their interactions in between.
Aang on the other hand is so frustratingly serious, we haven't seen him be a child even for a moment. All he does is say incredibly deep thoughtful statements and ask questions about the importance of everything, and that's just got worse as the series has gone on.
It's also frustrating how they insist on explaining EVERYTHING instead of just showing us things - having characters narrate their every thought and feeling and movement either in monologue or conversation is so much more tedious than if they'd just let us watch and understand on our own.
The whole pregnancy subplot is totally boring and unnecessary for the story, it's strictly filler for what are already super long episodes. It just drags. Vivian is the least interesting character of the story, and the fact that Jessica Pressler, who also co-produced the series, is so focused and in love with her own narrative, only proves she's somewhat full of herself. This whole redemption arc is mentioned over and over again, we get it, enough already. It's not like Pressler is some Woodward & Bernstein, and Rhimes really should have reined her in and cut her story by half. This show started off with tons of potential, but is heading towards drivel territory fast.
Love the continuing of nemesis between Lily and Sal :joy: Lily’s savage is the best:thumbsup_tone1:
