I'm torn on this one. On one side I really like that they just tried to make an entertaining movie. On the other side, it's just too bloated and mostly just stupid. But still watchable. I just wish they used the dog more. The dog just stole the show.

@movieswatcher That is the perfect summary. Took a while to get going, but then exactly as described, although I would add that the romcom aspect was predictably lame; a typical Hollywood schmaltz-fest. As you say, the dog was brilliant, but it either didn't bite very hard, or else that guy that kept getting his balls chomped was wearing seriously tough trousers and had an exceptionally high pain threshold.
Not enough Cage, just not enough Cage. And just too much Awkwafina. To me, she sounds like nails on a blackboard. Just horrible.
Overall, few funny moments, some nice action, and a predictable story. Hoult plays basically the same character as in Warm Bodies here. If they had the courage and let Dracula win for a change, would at least made for a nice surpriseloading replies

Surprisingly enjoyable. The mystery is interesting, builds well upon itself, and keeps you watching to see what's going on. Overall I hated only the performance of the main character, who l think could have been replaced with a cardboard cutout without any loss. Luckily as the show progresses he becomes more of a side character and the story is not about him. Also too bad the story is not contained in the season, as it does not answer everything and the ending is quite open. Hopefully, a second season is made.

Butler and Huss are just great. If they are not in a scene, you can just skip it.
I hate how they kept it mostly realistic the whole movie, and then had to have a "superhero" character at the end. Spoiled the ending for me. Could have been done much better

It could have been a great movie. I felt, watching the last act, actually sad.
An already shot character, and barely able to stay lucid, started, not only just walking and surviving, but doing front flips down to ground level from the first floor. Same character that was built up the entire movie to be righteous, suddenly did a 180 and became a vengeful superpowered individual, hell bent on killing a dude.
Felt like someone took over the project (the movie scrip/vision) in the final act.
A new variation on an existing concept. But nicely done. Fits well with other similar shows, like Liar Game (JP or KR), Zero, Kaiji, and others. Can only recommend it.
I noticed one thing. Each time there is a murder game in a Korean show, they focus more on the characters. In Japanese shows, they focus more on the game mechanics. I wonder why it is so.
