Can't believe a character that I knew only for minutes made me tear up!
GLORIOUS PURPOSE!!!
This episode is phenomenal! We follow Din Djarin after the events of The Mandalorian season 2 finale, as he learns how to use the Dark Saber. This episode does a great job continuity-wise in referencing what happened to Mandalore in Star Wars: Rebels! The cinematography in this episode was mind-blowingly beautiful! And near the end, as he was testing his new Naboo Starfighter, I got a little Phantom-Menace-Podracing-scene vibe from it. After that, he met up with Fennec Shand, and he said he will help Boba free of charge, but he has to see a "little friend" first! GROGU REUNION! Can't wait for the next episode!
GLORIOUS!!!!! PURPOSE!!!!! :crocodile: :crown: :crocodile: :crown: :crocodile: :crown: I actually teared up a little over Old Man Loki and it was, in fact, glorious.
This may be my favourite episode of the show. Simply excellent. An emotional rollercoaster mixed with some really good humor. I actually teared up because of how adorable that book was, but I also laughed at some of Cisco's lines. That's why I love The Flash: it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It's such a sweet, charming show, and even when it gets serious, it somehow manages to stay hopeful instead of becoming depressing and joyless.
Disappointed that the intro doesn't begin with "war, war never changes". (Update: nvm, just keep watching :)
Me, a portuguese watching the episode: O POVO ÉÉÉÉÉ QUEM MAIS ORDEEEEEEEEEEEEEENAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Really enjoyed the show. The after-credits scene could set up an interesting season two.
Jeremiah Danvers: The world already has a Superman.
Me (whispering): You'll always be my Superman, Dean Cain.
Some of the best star wars i have ever seen in this episode. PERIOD. Just amazing! 10/10
It's interesting how an episode with a more developed character, more locations and funnier characters can make the best episode so far.
It's just Mandalorian Season 3.
7/10
My favorite episode -
Beautiful.
I'm extremely hesitant about oners because I usually think they just negate a lot of the purpose of the cinematic tradition and take away a lot of what is the most unique artisitic tradition of the medium: editing. So when I see films that are shot in one continuous take, I'm usually very mixed about them. I really like Birdman for how it imitates psyche, but I don't really care for 1917 because I don't really feel like it earns the format.
One-takes can function extremely well when used carefully and deliberately. True Detective's infamous oner in this episode is the best instance I've ever seen because it doesn't feel like it's being shot that way just because. It's shot that way because it ramps up tension organically and having the scene take place fluidly makes it all feel all that more gripping. Tremendous.
Man, there sure are a lot of chinese people in France.
Also vaai ar die talkieng ass ief zey ar all peppie le pieu or ze coppar from allo allo. I figurred that doing reecist dialects vur a thing of ze pastah? Like ze indian ah Apu Lepetitpallepettilan hein
That's it, final episode of Loki, final episode of anything in the MCU. This is the reboot point, everyone. All future shows and movies are canceled. Stay tuned for a new Iron Man movie starring someone without a checkered past. :P
"I can't imagine you working at Tesco's"
"Well beep beep motherfucker I'm good at it"
the actress MADE that line work
The episode has been exciting, it has been good as the season ends and it has a post-credits scene
Unusually funny episode! Kevin Smith did it great!
Directed by Kevin Smith. THE Kevin Smith.
