The production value on this is visablly fucking insane. What a gorgeous show.
And with only 2 episodes out I am already hooked like haven't been by a show in a long time.
EDIT after full first season:
Damn, I'm disappointed right now. It started off so well with the first episode. But with each passing episode it felt more like two different shows. One on Trantor about Empire. Which was fucking amazing science fiction and mesmerizing to watch. But also one on Terminus about the Foundation itself. Which felt like a cheap SyFy spinoff in the same universe. Very bizarre.
Still an entertaining watch throughout but it could have been so much better.
BTW. I haven't read the books.
I must say I'm loving this style of Korean series the originality and quality of production the storyline I'm stunned.
from Squid Game to hellbound the Koreans are adding a different cultural element to the story
if it continues like this I believe they may also change the industry at this rate.
although hellbound lacks CGI improvement I'll say the story makes it forgiving.
But I guess it's good enough because I wasn't too annoyed by the way it was used they knew when to use the CGI and when not to.
However, I love how all the characters are developing and how the story is really progressing.
It's so awesome to see these plot twists, especially in the 6th episode.
ouuu Also, the music
I absolutely love this series! even though some scenes are very gruesome!!
:tired_face::tired_face:Why Why Why Why Why Why Why Why:tired_face::tired_face::tired_face:
I refuse to believe this was directed by the first matrix director
this poor excuse for a movie is just ahh..... I mean why it was an iconic movie
why ruin it like this why?? the director had another motive in the movie
this was not for the sequel to continue she just got up and said I want to say
something I will say it in the movie WHAT??
I grew up watching the matrix I loved it I still love it now but this is deliberately
done to ruin the image of the franchise this kind of act is just infuriating.
this goes to show you that making movies these days is just cheap, simple, and fast
I would be happier if it was another story in the matrix franchise
but this is a NO-NO for me!
I say this looks promising for a first episode though the actors performance was lacking.
Some of the characters were giving off very calm vibes. So I couldn't connect with any of them.
I give it a 6/10. The visuals were nice. . .
From the first episode, I can tell that this will be a good season.
The scenario is quite interesting, and I can't wait to see where the story goes.
I'm enjoying it so far.
Cried in season 2 and cried when it ended, the show is one of the best i have seen in years.
What's up with Apple TV shows all of them are almost perfect
I love all of their shows it's like they have been carefully selected.
Foundation, SEE, Ted lasso, For all mankind, and now Severance!!:fire::fire::fire:
I've never thought I would cry for any show but this hit me so hard
I'm sobbing like a little boy. this anime is..........oh god. WHY???
I rarely ever comment on any show or movie, but I absolutely had to say something about this one.
Please do yourself a favor and treat yourself by watching this. It was ALL heart and if you’re anything like me, then you’ll never once feel like spending time with this show is a waste of your time.
I say looks promising but can't judge just from the beginning of the series but
We have seen all streaming services trying to adapt novels And ruining them
I'd still prefer to watch a movie adaptation of these novels like the harry potter franchise
Nevertheless, I guess this isn't too bad. I just hope they don't drop this like any great series
that got canceled because of a fund or low rating. If they hold on to it it will
maybe be a big blockbuster like Game of Thrones but you know these companies
only care about money and not the opinions of people
so as an adaptation this looks good but it will need a push from fans and a strong cast to carry it
and
The trailer was shit, period.
Gwen as the plotter seems very cunning and clever, she quite faithfully imitates Morgana in manipulating other people, especially the always gullible Arthur, and the last scene in which she is believed to be the one to discover the poisoner brings to mind Morgana when she gets the credit for protecting Camelot from the wights and the sleeping sickness when actually she was the one to cause it. Morgana meets Gwen at the market to give her the poison, just like Morgause used to meet Morgana. Though it is a bit silly and risky for Morgana to come to Camelot in the guise of the old Hilda, with whom the knights are very familiar as she could have easily been recognised. Apparently, a wizard or witch using an ageing spell can take only one and the same form as it is the same with Merlin.
Gwen's relationship with Morgana mirrors that of Morgana and Morgause, as this time it is Gwen who is a kind of "padawan" to Morgana, and she learns really quick. Gwen has been charming before but now she uses that and the fact that everybody trusts her to plot against Arthur, and is very effective at that as everyone believes her. She is great at playing the innocent young queen. The murder of the stableboy Tyr was very brutal and cruel for Gwen, I wonder how she would feel about it when the enchantment is removed? I wonder how they will do it? In the review of the previous episode I supposed that maybe Gwen is only pretending to Morgana that she cooperates with her only to turn the tables on her later on, but from what she does in this episode it is clear that she is in earnest. The assassination attempts are very well prepared and executed and not just ploys to cheat Morgana as Arthur would have died had it not been for Merlin's magic. I wonder how they are going to explain Arthur's death at the end of the story if it had been established that Merlin's magic can save from death?
Merlin was really hilarious as the old wizard, cracking jokes and ironic wordplay, and the scene with the cook is passing funny too, though I wondered why he turned back into the young Merlin before reaching Arthur's chambers as it would be easier to escape knights who were a bit scared of the wizard Dragoon but they knew Merlin well and if the spotted him, they would have captured him and put back to his cell before he managed to help Arthur. Though apparently it was easier to climb the walls in a young body ;) When the knights are looking for Merlin hiding behind a barrel I was sure that Mordred would somehow suss him out as a fellow magic user. It is not clear what magic Mordred possesses, as a boy he used some telekinetic magic, but we do not really know what he is capable of.
As for Gwen, she is seriously enchanted but I hoped that as she was sitting by Arthur's (death)bed and Leon was extolling her virtues and telling her how the knights will follow her were Arthur to die, that being praised for something she is not would somehow cause a change of heart in Gwen and that she would abandon her plotting and assassination attempts, but apparently as the trailer of the next episode shows, it is not so. The enchantment must be very strong, I wonder how they would break through it and what they do with Gwen afterwards? Technically, she is guilty of high treason and numerous attempts to kill the king.
The first scene when Gwen and Arthur are riding through the meadows and Gwen says "the three of us", before Merlin appeared I thought she was trying to tell Arthur she is with child, though apparently this is not the case. She needs to hurry up taking into account Arthur's impending death in the last episode.
I wonder what is Morgana's endgame since obviously she wants to take over the throne herself and not allow Gwen to keep being queen, as she told her?
