I literally had to remind myself a few times what I was watching,... No Rick, Morty as a sidecharacter and an episode that seemed like an unrelated cartoon made by a bunch of old rappers to get back into the spotlight...
To anybody asking themselves "why display the green environment, even if just for the few moments before they die":
Well, so they'd clean the lens of course. A simple and cheap trick so nobody unpunished has to go outside to do so...
Someone should really feed that Chocobo...
I need Nimona as my sidekick!
Now!
I really don't get all the negative reviews this is getting. Are people really becoming this self-righteous and self-absorbed they actually think their personal subjective way-too-critical reasoning is the way to go with everything now?
I, for one, have really enjoyed this movie. I had not heard anything from it and wasn't sure what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised by what I believe is an epic movie. The fact it took me by surprise even added to it... I was gonna give this a 9, cause I haven't seen the rest yet (which might normally change it in any direction), but I'm now giving it a permanent 10 out if compensation for all these self-titled critics that don't like anything anymore these days (mainly cause I can't vote 20 for the same reason).
Anyway, whatever you read online these days (including myself ):
I recommend greatly!
The AI generated intro bothers me, though... Was there no more money to make one so they paid 5 bux to generate an AI one of mostly images?
Tf, Marvel...
Damn,... That was a slow build-up, but the escalation of things until this amazing episode has been totally worth it. This episode's ending really tops the cherry on the cake and I was left baffled for a few minutes... For someone that hasn't read the books yet like me, this was an awesome and quite unexpected outcome.
Nice...!
Fired the main voice actor and tries to go on,... Big fail.
Hire back the original voice actor or end this bullshit.
SweetTooth rocks so very hard! :joy::rofl:
I'm amazed Nicolas Cage doesn't show up in my dreams yet with all these different roles in different movies...
"Wot? ...
... Wot? ....
................
... Wot?"
Sad it's only temporary but: Wooooh!
No idea why so many people don't like this but love the cartoon.
The cartoon has always missed something I can't put my finger on, but it made it boring and me unable to follow it.
This series however is so much better! I still can't put my finger on what it is, but this series finally actually has it. I can finally follow with interest.
I hate that all the haters talked down on this while it wasn't even out yet, and I'm glad I did not listen to them!
Damn, Tatiana really is an amazingly good actress. There was absolutely no moment so far that the illusion broke. Every character she plays is do ultimately particular and she also can look different enough to completely differentiate. All much harder than they seem.
Hat's off!
Did Seymore just casually broke the 4th wall by humming along with the Simpson-tune that played between scenes?
Again one of the better ones, imho... It's amazing how this show can be so horribly bad the first time you see it, yet grow on you so much, making it getting better over time without actually having to change anything...
Well, not saying this is a top-comedy, but it does hold a few hilarious situational humor moments like the moment one of them has a talk with his mother about why his father never looked him in the eyes and never seemed to respect him and now sent him to the army and she explains to him it's hecause his dingeling was bigger than his father's as a just-norn baby, those moments made me laugh,...
I'd compare it to what a less-funny medium-baked underfunded series of Tropical Thunder would have been like.
So I'm now supposed to accept that the universes' Spidermen now not only have their own dimension (which apparently happened to be empty and available to build things in creative mode in), but also that they are all simultaneously there (sooo, no crime anywhere then?) and are all now supposedly multiversian versions of timecops, while general Spiderman isn't even very knowledgeable about multiverses? And absolutely no other superhero (especially the multiverse travelling ones) is there?
This goes directly against all Spiderman (and Marvel) canon and makes absolutely no sense at all other than driving the story of this horrible set of movies...
Also, SpiderGwen knows it ends bad between them in all multiverses (the whole infinite of them?) while technically by logic it would make it inevitably a 50/50 chance, since there are always infinitely more universes. And are all those other Gwens also shifting multiverse for their Spidey's? Then where are they?
People watching this are so overhyped by the drawing style (which has been done countless times before, tbh) and the fact it addresses the woke subject of a dark-skinned Spiderman (which also technically in a multiverse there shouldn't be just 1 of, but also countless many) and infinitely speaking there should be close-almost identical Myles'es that do this exact same thing from other universes too, so they would meet and create chaotic loops on themselves while hindering eachother at a level of madness...
If the multiverse exists of infinite slightly-different-from-the-previous realities, then when one does cross between them, there would be a rather large set of the same guy stepping to their next one if no destination is specified, or they'd all bump into eachother in the destination-multiverse (probably entering at the same spot at the same time) if the destination is meaningfully set as a problem-verse at that time (which also is kinda impossible since it would happen on soooo many other universes too if you follow multiverse rules).
Using the multiverse is really cool if you hold to the actual rules of it, and although I get it's complicated and needs a clear logic mind, if it's too complicated for the storywriter or they lack said logic, maybe don't make a shameful completely illogical trilogy about it?
If you don't follow (or know) the basic multiversial ruleset, it takes away any and all intrigue into it and you should've just used (and adapted to using) planets or something alike instead of the multiverse. :man_shrugging:
Like, wtf...
Worst and most illogical Spiderman shit ever!
This is the 4th series I've started to watch from AppleTV, and after Servant, Shrinking, Severance and now Silo, I'm starting to wonder about the rest of the alphabet...:joy:
If the 5th I'm gonna be interested in is gonna start with an S too, I'm calling it a pattern!
Anyway, not a big fan of Apple in general, but the AppleTV originals have not disappointed me yet. Way to go...
Again blackfacing Annabeth.
You know how fun it is to recognize a character in advance cause you read the books? Like Dionysos and others...
But then there's Annabeth: tall, blonde,....
She's a fucking small brunette here just to cast a Black person in it...
When will people finally learn that replacing anu character with another etnicity for the sakebof having this etnicity is also so fucking terribly racist!
This shit is so racist.
I seriously want a Hela live-action series weaving her into the MCU...
Am I the only one that left disappointed by this movie cause Ryan never even makes one sarcastic Reynolds-remark or joke? Both as a good father and as a haunted figure that eventually kills the family, not a single one!
Just 1 joke or sarcastic remark would have sufficed!
This movie could have been a Twilight Zone episode...
This is so bad. It could have been named something new with new characters and it would have been better. This is not the Fresh Prince.
Forgetting nothing of what the guy above says. It's not what they did, it's how they did it, and this is NOT it.
Actually a really good movie, weird ending though, but I loved it overall. Why is it filtered through an 80's-movie lens, though?
This is turning out to be a lot better than I first expected this to be... I could definitely keep watching this...
A 'Documentary' 'Fantasy'? Isn't that like saying a square ball or coalwhite?
This show is honestly the main source reason and point-of-origin why I adore Krysten so much... She killed it in this...
Looks like a "girl-show" at a glance, with the Creeks's Dawson as James Van Der Beek (himself), and such, but I can't ex0ress how much I enjoyed this show for the short time it lived...
Probably also the main reason why I watched Jessica Jones (together with David Tennant, :asterisk_symbol:en plus:asterisk_symbol:!).
As an all-time stubborn Whovian, I must kinda agree with most: being that it's not Jodie's fault, she does even better than expected with the poor scripts and setups she's given... Many other actors/actresses of any gender or sex would have made it even worse, while she still tried to cary the badly written scripts...
The best example is Missy:
Missy's character made The Master way more cool to me than before, she was well scripted and also is a wonderful actress;
Jodie's Doctor character however, although also played by an actress with the power to lead, was so hadly scripted with so many holes that it made her destroy an all-time favorite of many... Jodie is now hoing to be hated by a big paet of Whovian community, for actually trying to save an amazing show that was given to a shitty writer. It's not her fault the ship was sinking, nor that she couldn't save it...
For the woke part, though: I blame that more on society today being overly political and constantly attacking each other for thinking not exactly the same. Movies and series these days are just trying to survive through an era where even the most loved things are able to get canceled for groups of people self-righteously taking it down cause they suddenly found something offensive that a year earlier was still part of the show's charm. In today's world nobody's safe for opinion-forcers and those that think even slightly different will get punished for it. They are as much forced making things overly woke today as we are forced watching it... :man_shrugging:
Ironic how these woke are so outraged about passed war-crimes and slavery, yet fight it now with a totalitarian regime of "Have my exact opinion or be prepared to be taken down."
Anyway, I do am a big fan of Tennant's reincarnation, so at least the ending made me feel hopeful in soon maybe being able to forget about season 13 and personally consider it non-canon or parallel alternate universe (like where we lost Rose).
Wen!?
Is anybody going to mention these episodes aren't 42 minutes, but 25 minutes...
Don't get why everybody's so psyched about this. Possibly the worst Spiderman Trilogy so far (as having myself forced through the first 2)...
