Go in blind to this and it will be even better. Fantastic movie!
What a beautiful film! Wasn't expecting it to tug my heart strings so.
I don't normally give out 10/10 easily unless it's really good on all parts. Storyline, Character, Visual Animation & Music/Sound. This definitely a 10 overall. I was a bit skeptical with all the internet hype. Initially i thought it will be another body switching romance drama. I guessed wrong and also I hope they'll make it into a live action.
Makoto Shinkai's is mostly known for his previous works, 5cm per Second and Garden of Words among others. Your Name continues his tradition of peculiar plots that are suited quite well for anime
.This was a truly fantastic movie. As many people have said before me, the animation, music, voice acting, backgrounds, story are all very well done. This film is a unique love story that will satisfy all types of fans, including people that don't normally watch anime.
Highly recommended.
Such a great movie. It's gorgeous and takes you on emotional twists and turns. The quality of the narrative is striking and I'll most certainly be exploring some of Shinkai's other titles.
Not a huge anime fan, but damn. This was incredible.
This movie instantly cemented Makoto Shinkai as one of my favourite directors. I can confidently say this was the best animated film of the 2010s. Complimented greatly by an amazing soundtrack. Even if you aren't someone who watches anime, this is a must see.
I couldn't remember the last time I saw such a surreal movie. Even though it was fiction still I can't deny the fact that the plot was spot on. I was hooked for an hour with this movie. Makoto Shinkai did a very good job. It was a masterpiece. Period.
Glad I finally watch this. It was even better than I expected. Great movie.
It's excellent, but the ending leaves me feeling empty... I recommend to look for the manga "Your Name: After Story", which contains a good close to the final arc.
Wow this was a great one! The music and animation alone were breathtakingly beautiful. Shinkai has always had marvelous animation quality but this was his best work so far. And the choice of RADWiMPS for the music was clearly the right decision. Because the lead singer is also fluent in English, it has allowed this film's music to reach an incredibly wide audience. After watching sub and dub, you can hardly tell that the film wasn't originally intended for English only viewers, the impact is still wonderful. If you haven't really gotten into Anime (Japanese animations), then this film is for you. Just watch it, and enjoy the ride.

An incredibly wholesome Anime about life, loss, and being kind. A worthwhile show.
Edit: The third season started slow but wow was it incredible. It really made for a phenomenal story and a beautifully orchestrated closure.
the anime have a good potential and the events are very intense
I stuck around past the 3 episode rule, and I'm happy I did. For those that are bothered by Asta at first, just know that he gets better. The show is worth pushing past the first 10 or so episodes.
Entertaining with Studio Ghibli vibes. I was really into the first half of the movie but lost some interest with the latter half. I have my issues with the "romance" and with more or less the entire last 20 minutes, but all right film overall. Worth re-watching, but I wouldn't go out of my way to do so. A low 7/10...

Wrong.

This is such a powerful and moving anime that deals with the effect of the loss of a loved one and how much it can deeply change us, young or old. In particular, the anime focuses on the effect of Menma's death as a young child on the 5 remaining "Super Peace Busters" group and it's very interesting to see how much her death has and, more interestingly, not changed this once close group of friends. There is an incredible driving force of guilt and jealously that permeates throughout the show, and so this anime is ultimately a story about the journey to resolve these emotions in order to let Menma rest in piece. A lot of the characters may not be completely likable in certain ways due to each one having every obvious flaws, but all those serious flaws interacting with each other are the times when the anime shines best. This is definitely a roller coaster of emotion (perhaps some tears along the way) but I loved the ending which resolves things very nicely. This is a touching story and a can't miss if you're interested in a more dramatic and moving anime. Watch it!!
While ERASED finished on a positive note (especially with dat Airi ending!!), I can't help but feel that things were just a bit too predictable and cookie-cutter during the second half of the show. The first half of it was riveting and amazing, but the show really started to lose itself once Kayo's problem got resolved. Overall, it's a solid show and thriller, but it didn't really break any new ground especially with how everything progressed towards Yashiro being the way too obvious "ultimate villain". Also, it might have been a little rushed in the last few episodes and could have probably benefited from a 13th episode to add a little more filler and depth to the final sequences, Yashiro's motives/intentions, and the events post-time-skip.
I'll give the show a solid 7.5/10 or so. Not the greatest thing since sliced bread, but I was entertained. Plus, you can never go wrong with having too many loli characters ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
This anime was nothing but a masterpiece, I was looking forward to each and every episode. No fillers or dragging of the plot, just very thrilling from beginning to end. Probably one of my favorite animes, if not THE favorite.
Damn. While the teacher was super obvious as the killer, I was hoping that the creators were throwing us off on purpose with a blatant red herring. Other than that flaw, this was a fantastic episode with a "mini-showdown" between Satoru and sensei. With only two more episodes to go, it's f'n game time.
Definitely back on track now. I do think the episodes in the past are a lot stronger than the present ones. Feels like there's more at stake and the emotional impact is greater. We're back to that underlying feel of unease and dread, even when it feels like things are going well. The series does a great job at having you care for Kayo and hoping she will be saved.
This show is breaking me apart. It's an emotional rollercoaster, for sure.
This whole episode is just constant worrying about what’s going to happen next and of course they leave it with a cliff hanger which almost made me stand up from my seat for the first time in like 5 hours, I’m scared of what’s about to happen.
this is pushing me at the edge of my freakin seat >,<
I just finished this one I dont leave comments on much that I watch but I am a grown man almost swelling in tears and regret watching this... This is a need to watch it was not even up my alley of media that I watch.
Masterpiece! Highly underrated I would say. I started watching it thinking it could be nice. Got thrilled after 2 episodes and finished it in one session. This show is so great it entered my top 5 list instantly! I would recommend it to everyone because it’s simply genius and doesn’t aim just a genre niche fan base.
WATCH IT!!
Very solid start with a nice little supernatural twist on the mystery genre. I'm on the edge of my seat to find out what happens next and I really liked both female characters introduced so far (Katagiri and Satoru's mom). I'm interested to see if Satoru's "revival" ability comes back into play in little parts while he's been sent this far back to the past.
This is definitely a show that I'm tempted to read the manga ahead of time. We'll see if my willpower can last...
Literally one of the best things I've ever experienced. I put off watching it for the longest time because I thought I wouldn't like it but man was I wrong. I felt like something was missing when it ended (after rushing through all the episodes in about 4 days because I couldn't stop), I wanted more. I started reading the manga as soon as I finished the anime and I'm all caught up on it now. Can't wait for season 2!
Also, just a tip for anyone who's planning on watching it - make sure you watch after the credits on the last episode. There's a pretty massive plot scene afterwards that's very important and I almost missed it.
