I must begin saying that A Quiet Life by Teho Teardo and Blixa Bargald playing at the end was so perfect just like the rest of the soundtrack; some things that were in my mind like the Stranger being Jonas from the future were confirmed, others wrapped up and more questions arised, I can't wait for S2, Charlotte now knows that Ulrich was/is in the past I wonder what she is gonna do with this piece of information, will she starts to rationalizing, as what we humans do with everything? Personally I doubt that, but guess that don't even matter that much since from the glimpse we got from the future it is shit, also a "small" thing that happily surprised me was Agnes Nielsen and Doris Tiedemann, Netflix didn't have to put a love story between two women in the 50s but it did! I really hope to see more of them in S2 as it's implyed that Doris left Egon for Agnes, and I want to see more of the 53's Egon I have a feeling that even though Egon doesn't like Ulrich he is the one whom somehow if Ulrich comes back to 2019 is gonna help him scape the prision he is in; also Ulrich's father had and affair with Regina's mother, and theirs' Grandmothers too lol everything comes full circle; and Helge in 2019? The timeline keeps being messed up, but since Helge was a grown man in 1986 we know he is gonna come back to his "right" time and this was just one more part of the the timeline that can't be changed so they will arrive at the apocalyptical world we saw Jonas in, ah my head hurts but I love this series.
WHEN SHE HUGGED BEN!!!! I think that was one of the most emotional scenes I’ve ever watched in any show! It truly made me cry!!! Last episode when Ben was watching that video about feeling lonely made me realize that’s why he was fine being Arabella’s roommate and fine with paying the rent, cause he felt lonely and that way he had some company but now it’s more like Arabella realizing he’s a friend so that was such a cute heartwarming moment because it also meant Arabella was ready to somehow move on with her life and her friends and the good things in her life!!! That scene is for the ages!!!
I was more than okay with the first outcome! I was super nervous for them because like trusting Leonora to be responsible for the main part of the plan? And then Arabella’s disguise was ridiculous! She looked amazing for like a regular night out but for being lowkey it didn’t work. And then I realized what was going on and it was just an emotional rollercoster cause like no matter the outcome it wouldn’t give back to Arabella what was taken from her. And then that scene when she says goodbye to her abuser (I don’t wanna name him cause he doesn’t deserve it), like she commands him to leave and at the same time drags him out, that scene was so powerful.
A great closure to the story, I’m glad Michaela is safe and in a better place and can express herself and be recognized as brilliant and talented and strong!! Thank you for making this show cause it gave so many people a voice and representation and a community!
"Says the princess who was given all the mattresses in the world to sleep on and still complains she can feel a pea." - Not Dottie dropping truth bombs. Love is very much a hypocrite.
I know it's a hallucination but Love imagining her and her brother naked in the bathtub together is wild. I understand the symbolism and what it was supposed to represent but still, it was weird to watch them.
I have to say, the last two episodes have been a little slow and dragged quite a bit. The domestic drama between two serial killers is interesting but I don't feel any chemistry between the two cheating stories. I really don’t care about Marianne or Theo. At least, Theo ties in with the murder (because he is Matthew's stepson) while Marianne is just the next obsession for Joe. I think this storyline felt like a very rushed and quick change in plot line. It would've been more interesting if Joe was stalking Marianne, but she had no interest in him at all. I just don't see how a woman like her would be into a man like him. At first, she came across as too smart and sassy to be manipulated by someone like Joe, then one conversation about their childhood and boom, she has feeling for him. The writers didn't give her enough time for character development. Also, I hoped this time it would be different because it seems like every woman Joe stalks, she likes him back.
Why are they pretending Marienne speaks French?
How did it take Joe until episode 6 of season 3 to realize he's got mummy issues? He's slow.
I have a feeling that Joe will end up killing Marienne’s ex-husband.
I have to admit I had made my mind about not watching the show, cause I was like as a woman why would I want to watch another woman suffer for 12 episodes? So for a few months I avoided it, and it wasn’t til a few days ago when the golden globes snubbed Michaela and the show and I saw a lot of online support and praise about her and what she created that I changed my mind about it! And I’m glad I did!! It was clever, respectful of women and victims, it was emotional, it made you think about the morality behind a lot of situations we see as common nowadays, it made you angry and made you want to hurt the man who hurt her, it made you feel and think a lot and that’s a good show!
So this is a great show, something never done before (I found some similarities to Promising Young Woman, but I see both as sisters who are starting a new genre of women telling their truth and demanding justice) but what we see in the show honestly I’ve never seen it in any other, so yes I’m gonna dare and call it revolutionary.
