Let's fucking go. I inevitably cried, I was so waiting for that last scene. Too bad it felt a bit rushed but it also felt so good to see both the CRM and Thorne annihilated.
At this point I'm just waiting for Rick to reunite with Daryl.
this should be called "The Fall Of Black Hitler and The Rise Of Gay Black Hitler"
This is an incredible show, reading books now. Apple as usual leading the pack with streaming by far, by sticking the the fundamentals of good casting, writing and storytelling.
Netflix on the other hand, is prioritizing wokeness over story telling and bombing the only good IP it has left with political nonsense that rivals the CW.
Wokeness in tv/film has nothing to do with diversity, political leanings or LGBT. It has to do with injecting those things at the expense of the story telling or casting, to the point where it breaks the immersion of the story itself and plays like a political action ad with poor actors and writing.
Apple knows this, and in its headline shows its perfected creating diverse shows that tell great stories with great writers and great acting without it feeling like forced political action.
10/10 for the story
9/10 for the attention to source, anything added or changed felt right and felt like it built the world more.
0/10 woke score. Nothing about this felt forced, political or in poor taste aka woke. It had a great, diverse cast who crushed it.
01x08 - The Key: 8/10 (Great)
“What we know is a drop. What we don’t know is an ocean”
Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese have created another excellent science fiction show, although “1899” differs greatly from their past efforts. The big reveal at the end was precisely what I suspected and the most logical explanation. Although the mystery has been revealed to some extent, I have no doubt that Season 2 will also surprise us in many more ways. Akin to Inception's dream within a dream, I suspect the spaceship is only another simulation. While I can understand why some people may be disappointed by the finale, anybody familiar with this duo would know that they are saving their biggest reveal for later. All the pieces are in place for an epic season two, so a round of applause to everyone involved in developing this show; I, for one, cannot wait for what is next.
Try watching the beginning of this movie and un-know what you know about the franchise. Who are these two guys? Where did they come from? Why are they after Sarah Connor. It is a great example of suspense-building storytelling.
I see that some people say the ending is actually happy and that everything seemed to work out at the end! But i find that's not true!
We can clearly see at the ending that Ki-woo is still poor and dreaming of making his message to his father comes true
but did it actually happene or not? we don't know for sure!
And i guess it didn't happen and that was because the reference back then when they lost their house, when the father told Kim Ki-woo that plans don't always success and that dreams never come true, so it actually does make sense.
The only thing i don't like that how did actually Kim Ki-woo survive?:D
I mean he has been hit twice by a huge rock in his head!!
And the funny thing that the woman who hit her head by falling over the stairs is the one who died :D!
How did she not die, when others did? I thought they pump poison gas through the helmet, that causes them to die. So, what happened?
Completely SKIPABLE. OUT OF CONTEXT EPISODE. WORSE CASE OF WOKEISM ON TV. NO ZOMBIES, NO PLOT, NO SCRIPT JUST 2 GAY DUDES :joy:. 2/10 RATING
Decided not to rewatch S11E16 prior to this one, which was a big mistake. That episode aired just under four months ago, but it still feels like a lifetime ago, so I barely remembered what plotlines were going on while watching. And I'll admit that I wasn't exactly invested in the episodes that aired prior to this one, I think that making the final season a 24 episode run was a bad idea. But I quickly remembered what was going on, and this was actually one of the better episodes in quite some time. It would have helped if they showed an actual recap before the episode, not just a montage of every character from the beginning to the end of the series.
Also, you've got to love the trolls on this show's trakt page. "Can't wait for this garbage show to end", as if you actually watch it. And if you do, you've got a pretty nice life. You do realize that there are people in the world worrying about where their next meal is going to come from, right? If you're worried about TV shows, you've got it easy, and you should probably go outside sometime.
What the f is going on? Is there something I missed in regards to her conscious being able to exist in two places at the same time?
Or did she fork her timeline into a new stub, which means she exists in the new timeline including everything she knows BUT in that timeline she doesn't execute herself?
I'm surprised I'm the first one to comment on this asking questions about what the hell just happened.
For those who are confused they aired S17E09 (One Fish, Two Fish) on TV but released S17E08 on WEB services (Roger Needs Dick) so S17E08 is technically Roger Needs Dick (so the description is correct but episode title is incorrect). So this week we have two episodes if you download a TV rip.
That last shot with the three of them in the elevator skyrockets this episode to the top!
This movie is one of the best horror movies of 2018 so far... Great acting, great cinematography, atmosphere... Few twists to keep things interesting, pretty sick story... I don't usually like those "dream" parts in movies, but here they play a big role for the story. In my opinnion there is one thing that was bad, and that is - we don't have any backstory for are two psycho bad guys! NOTHING! Why they do what they do? Why the dolls? Are they just sick, or? We need a origin story, or some kind of prequel! 8/10.
Why are you reading this if you haven't seen the episode? Get outta here ya nut!!!!
Ahhh yes, .. nothing like a bit of primo Valdez Rocks Snakeroot Kush, chased with an outstanding Picard 80's Merlot to get the juices, ...and the episode, going. Well, now we understand why Raffi is so pissed at "J.L.", but, I suspect it is not so much at her loss of stature and livelihood, as it was how quickly and thoroughly he seemingly abandoned her after shooting himself in both feet by playing the usually reliable Picard "my way or I'll take my ball and go home" card. Must have been rather shocking to finally get the "don't let the turbo lift door hit you in the azz on the way out" reply, so unexpectedly. In his own way, he was drowning his sorrows just as she was, but, he was MAKING the wine rather than self medicating with it.
So then, were Daj and Soji yin and yang like Data and Lore? And a more troubling query would seem to be, is Momma Asher now on the wrong side of the Terra Firma, simply ignorant of recent events, a holographic projection, or a clone of Dr Funkenstein? Inquiring minds want to know. And just what is that voodoo that Ramdah doo's so well?
OK, we already know that dermal regenerators can fix up an injury better than Dr's Nassif and Dubrow in our timeline. So why then do Hugh and the other reclaimed former drones still have facial scarring. Is it a badge of honor, like a dueling scar, or, a warning, to others like a scarlet "B"?
Here's a suggestion for the Romulan hit squads. On future assignments, forget beaming in with an entire crew, going CQB and H2H, only to miss the target, get murked by inferior numbers, but superier skills, and then assisting them in building their arsenal. (as if J.L. and Co needed any help in that department it seems) Next time just beam in a solitary suicide mercenary and have him activate the green "screw you juice" and eliminate both the target and the evidence. Just sayin!
Damn! Commodore Oh went all in with a full house and ran head on into a four of a kind monkey stomp! Guess the "cat's outa' the bag" now.
I though that Dr Jurati might be "compromised" at first, then not, then.... could it all have been a set up? Back burner for now, after her intro to Raffi. Her enthusiasm felt too genuine.
Picard giving Christobal respect by not taking the big chair, and him giving Picard props by waiting for his signature command,...., then Raffi's nonplussed reaction. Priceless!
Great episode overall.....
Wow. I might be the only one that liked this... From last week's awesome animated crossover to this week's the point when Spock started singing. I just love how they are trying new things in Trek. Doesn't hurt that I love a good musical.
I Think I skipped about 40 minuets of this Episode, I really hope there are no more like this absolute tripe !
Only in the most vague way is this related to Train to Busan. This is a zombie movie based in South Korea set 4 years after the outbreak we saw in Train to Busan. I can admit that Seoul Station wasnt that good either, but at least they tried even with the choppy animation.
But here they go full ham on terrible, terrible CG and law-breaking physics. 4 years of disuse and the cars work, the roads are totally clear, there is electricity and functioning machinery. It just can't be.
This movie is clearly targeted towards fans of the original because there are some lines in English, awful awful cheesy dialogue that belittles the experience of living in a zombie infested wasteland and just contextually makes no sense at all.
And everyone in this movie is ugly and mentally insane. I liked Captain Seo, great character that makes sense, but Hwang is just bad to be bad. The military went full evil and now they're doing death matches. You also can't start a movie with heart wrenching scenes and expect us to care about the characters. Motivation for the main group also isn't really developed or explained and only really is justified by a flashback or singular line here and there.
All the English casting also makes no sense. I just can't understand why this film was made this way.
Large sections of the movies are completely in CG, they're actually awful and they look so bad. Skip this film, it just ain't worth it.
This show ruined television for me. Any other show and all I can think is Why am I not watching BoJack instead? It took me about half a season to start enjoying it, but once it hit me, it hit me like a long, hard kick in the urethra. Really, this is the only TV show that regularly brings tears to my eyes. I've become completely obsessed with it.
With how bad our world is right now, sometimes you just need to cry, and damnit I cried until I couldn't anymore. This last episode was more emotionally charged than any episode of Discovery, and I'm all for it. So much nostalgia. I hope Sir Patrick Stewart hangs around for many seasons to come.
Good chemistry between Zoe and Reese. Not in love chemistry but something less lofty and more visceral.
Now that you finished this, don't miss the opportunity to explore 'Yakamoz S-245' – it seamlessly complements the storyline.
The level of emotional exploration in this is horrendous. There's 10 min of action and the rest is just sensitivity and caring. There's a place for that as part of the show. not as the entire show. Very hard to endure
I have never seen series with such a lot of useless and unneeded speech on feelings. Looks like they are low on budget and try to fill all the emptiness with blallalabla I feel this I feel that
This show was BADDDDDD.
Not sure what those people were smoking that thought it was good, but it was complete nonsense. And the main actresses....my God was she ever terrible. A lot of these dubbed Netflix shows have been good, BUT NOT THIS 1!
Having Jesus promote cocain must be one of the most South Park things this show has done in a long time.
My brother and I have been watching Shameless since the beginning. I'm a bit like Ian, he's a bit like Lip. We identify with the characters. We feel sorry for them. We share their moments of happiness.
My brother and I don't cry much, and if we cry we don't really let it be known. But there's a moment in every season we shed a tear, and just can't hide it. This episode was the one. More specifically, when Frank tells Fiona he thanks her for helping ♥️
I don't think letting Fiona leave the show will do it any good, so I'm curious to find out how the Gallaghers will cope next season.
THIS is how you slowly build up your characters and world to a satisfying payoff. If you have an entire episode that takes place outside of the main universe and put all the main characters into completely different roles yet still manages to retain the core of the show and give viewers enough familiarity to hold onto, then you really do know how to write. Even if the series ends here, what a brilliant, intelligent, and enjoyable adventure The Orville is. Anyone still out there who looks at this show and thinks "Family Guy in space" is in crippling denial. This show is reaching Stargate levels of storytelling and character development now. What started as a chance foot in the door, to get the fleeting chance to stand in the shadows of science fiction giants has evolved into something that actually has the potential to be one of those giants some day.
For this episode in particular, what a delightful blend of TOS movie and Star Wars musical cues, the new ships and places that are a departure from the typical Union aesthetic, and the very best special effects I've seen on this show so far. Effects that are very detailed and eye-popping while still allowing everything to be well-lit and easy to follow. A very bold and dramatic way to cap off a season, especially the second season, and a very enigmatic ending that deliberately left threads hanging while still being satisfying and positive.
THIS show is the hopeful vision of the future we need right now. Not something that just reflects back what we currently are (because, let's face it, what we currently are is embarrassing), but one that shows up what we could be if we could stop resenting ourselves and each other for five freaking minutes. We'll always have our precious mistakes, our warts, our weirdness, but it's wrong to let those things define us. In the past, this kind of love and awareness came from a different show. A show that has sadly decided to move away from the wisdom of the human adventure. Now, thankfully, it's coming from this one. Hopefully, for a long time to come.
