pretty awesome performance by ryan reynolds. i mean.. it's 1 guy for 90 minutes in a box. that's crazy they got such a respectable movie out of that.
that said, i now have a healthy size fear of being buried alive.
Going into zombie movies with little to no expectations always results in more enjoyment from the viewing. The acting was good (imo), the characters were believable and likeable, and I actually wanted them to survive, which isn't always the case with some movies main characters. The ending could have dropped like three different parts that felt unneeded, but still not bad enough to warrant a score drop. A solid 7/10 if you like zombie movies.
An absolute utter disappointment. I was so hyped for this movie because Train to Busan is in my opinion a 10/10 zombie movie but this is just utter shit. If you want more korean zombies after Busan just watch #Alive (which is okay) or the show Kingdom (fucking amazing). Skip this one.
The CG in this is fucking abysmal.
Only in the most vague way is this related to Train to Busan. This is a zombie movie based in South Korea set 4 years after the outbreak we saw in Train to Busan. I can admit that Seoul Station wasnt that good either, but at least they tried even with the choppy animation.
But here they go full ham on terrible, terrible CG and law-breaking physics. 4 years of disuse and the cars work, the roads are totally clear, there is electricity and functioning machinery. It just can't be.
This movie is clearly targeted towards fans of the original because there are some lines in English, awful awful cheesy dialogue that belittles the experience of living in a zombie infested wasteland and just contextually makes no sense at all.
And everyone in this movie is ugly and mentally insane. I liked Captain Seo, great character that makes sense, but Hwang is just bad to be bad. The military went full evil and now they're doing death matches. You also can't start a movie with heart wrenching scenes and expect us to care about the characters. Motivation for the main group also isn't really developed or explained and only really is justified by a flashback or singular line here and there.
All the English casting also makes no sense. I just can't understand why this film was made this way.
Large sections of the movies are completely in CG, they're actually awful and they look so bad. Skip this film, it just ain't worth it.
Seeing a film that's won the Palme d'or at Cannes or Best Picture Oscar is like drinking a bottle of ridiculously expensive wine: with every sip you ask yourself over and over again if it deserves the price. Fortunately, Parasite is so good you won't be drinking very long because you'll be drunk on its power soon enough.
A film that crosses genres so many times it leaves a permanent mark, Parasite is a clever story performed wonderfully and directed to perfection.
I see that some people say the ending is actually happy and that everything seemed to work out at the end! But i find that's not true!
We can clearly see at the ending that Ki-woo is still poor and dreaming of making his message to his father comes true
but did it actually happene or not? we don't know for sure!
And i guess it didn't happen and that was because the reference back then when they lost their house, when the father told Kim Ki-woo that plans don't always success and that dreams never come true, so it actually does make sense.
The only thing i don't like that how did actually Kim Ki-woo survive?:D
I mean he has been hit twice by a huge rock in his head!!
And the funny thing that the woman who hit her head by falling over the stairs is the one who died :D!
Try watching the beginning of this movie and un-know what you know about the franchise. Who are these two guys? Where did they come from? Why are they after Sarah Connor. It is a great example of suspense-building storytelling.
"You do that, it'll find you. You put a hundred cops between you and a Terminator, you'll get a hundred dead cops."

Simply awful, this felt like rinse and repeat. Nothing new added to the franchise. other than an apparent regret of everything between T2 and Genesis.
Tasteless remake of a once good movie.
Rewriting the timeline just to offer a "different" future ... where the only difference is the name of the AI wiping humanity, from the iconic Skynet to an unknown Legion...
And the movie lacks in something very important, some might call it the backbone of every movie: a story.
You litterally just see people running from a new and improved and obviously totally invincible Terminator for the whole movie, nothing else beside one or two flashback to the future which are kind of useless...
Linda Hamilton is a total badass... until she takes off her glasses, and magically become an old, tired and annoyed woman. Schwarzie is there... to remind us it is a sequel and not a pure reboot, i guess.
The movie remains watchable and somehow enjoyable if you're very nostalgic or if you never saw T2: Judgment Day.
Dont waste your time in this one, it's worse than terminator genisys
Very disappointing, bad idea, bad acting this movie is the dark fate of the terminator franchise,
This movie was just... stupid! I mean, if you like CGI action scenes, then go ahead and watch it... but if you like smart plot with good acting and good one liners then don't watch this mess... 4 out of 10...
How dare they cancel Futurama? This movie is a proof that the animation is amazing, really creative. LOVED IT
Enjoyed this one. Not epic, but better then the imdb 6.1 imho.
I'm avoiding subways and will not set foot in Paris for a while though.
It's an amazing and one of the best footage films I've ever seen. The idea is so unique and the concept of all the things down below. What really is amazing is the sound and audio too. This s certainly a movie night type film but it is not for the faint hearted. Sound and Audio is 10/10 and the ending is satisfying 9/10
I effin love this movie, period. Lol.
classic from jim carrey !
This movie starts off a little slow, introducing new and old characters, but after the first 15 minutes becomes instantly hilarious with one great conversation after another. As far as dialogue goes, there isn't a funnier movie out there.
It is incredible what Kevin Smith was able to do with his first film and so little money. The dialogue is fantastic. Just the arguing about stupid stuff is so fun and feels real.
Kevin Smith's real gift is writing funny, witty dialogue, and that's what carries this film. From Star Wars debates (did the destruction of the second Death Star in "Jedi" cost innocent contractors their lives?) to perfectly serious debates about sex ("Thirty-seven???"), this is the ultimate movie for anyone who's ever been going nowhere and doing nothing. It's a day in the life of the guy working at the corner store, no more, no less. But it's absolutely brilliant.
This movie is one of the best horror movies of 2018 so far... Great acting, great cinematography, atmosphere... Few twists to keep things interesting, pretty sick story... I don't usually like those "dream" parts in movies, but here they play a big role for the story. In my opinnion there is one thing that was bad, and that is - we don't have any backstory for are two psycho bad guys! NOTHING! Why they do what they do? Why the dolls? Are they just sick, or? We need a origin story, or some kind of prequel! 8/10.
I'm tired of the found footage genre now, but this one was surprisingly decent. The cinematic approach helped, and while it won't remain in the memory for long, it's better than most of the dross that now populate pound shop bargain bins.
