I never really liked Brida, but her scenes with Uhtred this episode were beautiful.
Average movie where nothing really stands out with a way too foreseeable plot. OK for a quick watch.
Hacksaw Ridge is easily one of the best war movies we've gotten in recent years. Mel Gibson knows this genre as well as anyone and he delivers an emotional and incredible true story with great characters and amazing action. Andrew Garfield really anchors this film and gives the best performance of his career by a long shot. The same goes for Teresa Palmer. Then you get excellent supporting performances from Sam Worthington, Vince Vaughn, Hugo Weaving and Luke Bracey. I think this movie is a Best Picture competitor if the Academy can put Gibson's past comments behind him and its going to be one of the most significant and most memorable movies of 2016.
Damn, what a way to end the season premiere. I wonder how the British Foreign Office will spin this one.
