Why do they have to push a political agenda...
Jesus... what happened to this show ??
I'd love to shove Detroit and all of its inhabitants right up that Detroit cops ass
I stopped when the two girls where having a conversation and one was wearing noise cancelling headphones.
Nate's redemption arc seems unearned, as was the teams acceptance.
The show is getting completely unbearable. Half the scenes have a soft piano playing in the background when one would expect to find a good moral lesson instead the show shoves degeneracy in people's faces.
To complete the socially woke read and creatively broke theme they had russia-phobic scene. Complete with an African man showing a Russian how adore works. I'm glad I gave up halfway through the episode because the ending sounds great ridiculous.
This 'message' episodes feel like after school specials. What's next, a "just say no" anti-drugs episode?
Honestly this season is so so cringe inducing. What has happened to this show. It feels like they need to push the propaganda like hard. It's really werid
I hope they finish this season off strongly - you know, the football team doing well. And it being about football and the team and the manager and the coach...
All the silly side stories and over-the-top preachiness has mired this season sadly.
It wasn't necessary.
I rewatched all episodes (except the absolutely terrible Beard After Dark one) prior to this season starting and the balance was perfect in season 1. Season 2 was a little different but not off the rails. Season 3 has been largely off the rails since episode 3... What chances it gets back on track...?
I can't imagine caring less about the Keeley/Jack storyline. They got together two episodes ago and I'm supposed to care about them breaking up already? yawnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
This show started out as a light comedy. Turned into trash. Taking it off my list.
Did they forget that this is a show about a football team? What is this horrible daytime soap opera garbage?
Magellan with his inflatable dingle crossing the ocean to save England with future doctors, lawyers, and scientists. So brave.
Ted Lasso is in full flow once more. Bringing the laughter and tears yet again. It's incredible how much they've made us care about these characters. (Even Trent's been infected).
Never thought I'd be the one commenting this but the political stuff was heavy handed and a bit much this episode. On the other side of it though I really liked Sam's dad and he looks like the type of person that would be amazing to get a hug from.
I was worried they were rushing the Keeley x Jack stuff but it ended up quite realistic. I can be quite over the top when I really like someone and gifts are definitely a love language of mine. If I had the resources that Jack does I'd be terrible! Glad it was handled well and they talked it through. That's all it takes, good communication.
And I'll reiterate that it's frustrating they're trying to soften our view of Nate as the season goes on. He can fuck off and doesn't deserve the cute restaurant host.
Am I the only one who thinks it started to drag by the last third?
This felt like the spiritual successor to the Beard After Hours episode from S2, except they expanded it to feature the whole cast this time. That episode was fairly divisive: people either loved it, or thought it was a waste of time. I figured this episode would end up the same, so I'm a bit surprised to see only positive comments here thus far.
I thought this episode was pretty boring! Didn't help that it's 1 hour long. Definitely did not need to be that long.
This season has been somewhat of a let down when comparing with previous seasons. This episode was kinda of boring. And they really need to throw in the random gay scene? It seems like these days on tv when 2 people of same sex are in a scene they start making out or banging. WRF cut the gay shit out already. It’s getting little out of control.
Well they just had to go there didn't they?
As happens everywhere around the world on a daily basis... two women get drunk on a tiny amount of alcohol and instantly become gay. I've been around many drunk women in my life and not once has this happened... but hey, it's 2023 - they've just been oppressed all these centuries.
MODERATION EDIT: Be respectful.
There are some moments that feel like they were approved by the club's PR department (the scenes with Levy, for example) but Mourinho alone makes this series interesting for neutrals.
What a beautiful first season. They gave so much attention to so many facets of a football club. So many real people with real stories. Real joy and real pain. The show was so much more than I had expected it to be.
Max not letting the others know about sharing similar symptoms of the previous two victims was dumb as fudge. Lucas acting like a douchebag just for the sake of fitting in in what he thinks is a cool group of guys feels like bending the core of his character too much. But, yeah, it's all for the plot's sake, so anything goes. This season sure is heavy on the clichés.
I absolutely love the horror and gore vibe of this season, but, apart from that, it's really not convincing me, story and character-wise.
I see they're doubling down on Wendy being a bitch early on.
Its never a good sign when a show departs from the original story within the first 15 minutes.
With some of the changes I am asking myself if the screenwriters bothered to read past the first few pages, since they will cause problems down the line.
I say this with sadness, but I don't think this is going to be a good adaptations, the changes are one red-flag after another...
Pointless departures from the original story, and diversity in casting taking priority to the detriment of the final product. The show is exactly what I had hoped it wouldn't be.
They'll drop the show long before the story's conclusion.
This is an awful adaptation, they left only names and major action events, changing everything else for unknown reason: character personalities, adding characters, scenes, etc.
Unbelievable.
Should have been labeled 'loosely based on the books by Isaac Asimov'.... Absolutely butchered the books... Disgrace... Woke nonsense
On a positive note, it is beautifully made and the actors do an excellent job.
The funniest part of that episode is Apple thinking Siri would ever get that playlist right.
