An amazing movie, and a masterclass in storytelling and existentialism without beating you over the head with it.
Pretty much a perfect movie. The direction, the performances, the cast, the locations, the lines... All superb. Love the relationship between Bogie and Raines.
Kung Fu Panda is an animated DreamWorks film, directed in 2008 by Mark Osborne and John Stevenson. It tells the story of a panda that, while helping his father in the noodle shop, dreams of becoming a martial arts master. When, one day, by chance, it sees himself thrown into the world of the Jade Palace to be educated, it is considered a hopeless case because of its physical form. Fortunately it manages to surprise everybody when the ferocious Tai Lung decides to return to destroy the valley.
The cartoon is a nice tribute to the world of martial arts and a great motivator for the children that can reflect themselves in the main character, Po. In fact, first of all, it is able to pick itself up in a bullying situation and to gain the respect of his “enemies” and, secondly, it shows how if you really want something and work to get it in a merry way, you may realize your dreams. Not to mention the fact that Po is an atypical hero, fat and with food problems – a very common thing in children today, but little shown in movies and on television – who uses his strengths to improve itself. The secondary characters are very nice, especially master Shifu that reminds me of Yoda from Star Wars, and the five cyclones that refer to the five styles of imitative kung fu: Tiger, Snake, Crane, Mantis and Monkey.
well i liked the Soundtrack that's for sure, Ryan and Emma chemistry and dance moves just amazing. love when they work together, they bring light to the screen. i didn't like the ending one bit kinda made me sad and i think that ending that left an impact on people and which made the movie to what it is today. loved the movie! very enjoyable and musical i guess lol.
Turns out this is the very first thing I watched in 2019.
This is going to be a very short review: if you like Ellen, watch this. It's pretty damn funny.
As someone who never watches her show but has seen plenty of clips on YouTube, I've always found her entertaining but probably didn't really picture her as a stand-up performer. As this special shows, I was wrong - entertaining from start to finish.
I can't believe Hopper is gone. Right when I thought he and Joyce were getting together.
Interesting premise, like ‘Fear’ but from the perspective of Marky Mark.
Penn is a snack, but too bad he’s Looney Tunes.
And I think we’re all on the same page about the curtain-free windows. Biggest (silliest) shock of the episode.
Curious to see more.
Definitely a show made for binge-watching.
I agree with @paosv about it being a bit of a mix of Gossip Girl and How to get away with murder, it kind of has that vibe.
It's a bit cliché at times but I do think the characters are well rounded(most of them) .
I didn't figure out who killed Marina until the very beginning of episode 8, so it took me a while, but it wasn't who i would have suspected from the start.
A simple & frivolous romp, but with truly significant technical leaps that would spark one of the world's greatest storytellers.
The clowns became the clowned.
I literally have no idea why I'm reviewing these Pixar shorts, but here you go. It's a short, and Pixar made it.
Gorgeous scenery, beautiful animation, and wonderful voice casting. Enjoyable to watch yet the story seemed somewhat lacking from what we expect from the Pixar studios.
So cute. Incredibly catchy too!
What a great way to finish a show I spent six long years watching. So much better than the lame ending that How I Met Your Mother did after nine arduous seasons.
This was genuinely such a good episode. The animation, camera angels, and even the coherence was great!! It kind of felt like being back in season 1 (esp with that insanely cringe scene, but with a lot more development. I genuinely enjoyed it. I found it pretty refreshing but also super interesting
Yup could (even should) be better... but there are some good parts in it.
I liked Al Pacino (and the short appearance of Johnny Depp is awesome too, but that's probably just 'cause I'm a huge J.Depp fan!)
So not awful, but not really great either.
Really hard movie to rate. Slow and long. It was interesting but rarely entertaining. Some really quality acting especially from Bradley Cooper, and of course Jennifer Lawrence. I want to give it a score around 8. But I can't get round the superflous scenes and fact that it was mostly boring.
Bale did a great job acting, but was hard to enjoy the film as a whole. Clever at times, only to be drug along with slow pacing. Decent beginning, the middle is a total snoozefest and decent ending.
I needed few days to think about my impression about this magical masterpiece! It was for me the best movie in a long time, although Spotlight could enter easily in this ranking. I purely enjoyed this movie on the big screen (which is the best way to watch it) - it made me lough, smile, tiptoeing with the wonderful characters! Sebastian and Mia were easy to identify with, to follow their way through success and failure. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling deserve all the awards and praise for their acting and vocal skills. They had the best chemistry I ever seen and they should do more movies together. I can say the same about the supporting actors who did too an amazing job.
I must also applaud the amazing directing, writing and operating jobs! The way that I was transported into the world of old-fashion modern musical was pure joy. And the music is phenomenal! The best music since Lion King and Beauty and The Beast (which for me are one of the greatest in the world). Music equaling the works of Hans Zimmer and other masterful composers! I have still City of Stars stuck in my head! Amazing!
The ending makes you think how choices, good or bad, can reflect on your way and destiny in this world! True wisdom!
I hugely recommend to everyone to watch this movie because it's once in while these days that we will have opportunity to watch this kind of magic! That was the cinema in pure content of it!
I liked the concept. The film left me wanting more - it felt a little bit more like a pilot for a series than a stand-alone film. I hope Netflix explore this world more as I think there scope for some interesting stories the writers have done the world-building work to keep things coherent.
This movie had many, many eye roll moments. It's not good. And yet....I keep wanting to watch it. So I guess that makes it some sort of good. I do have a laundry list of things that annoy me, but it's almost in a "fun bad movie" sort of way, like I almost like it better for it. Also, I was 9 when the first one came out so I was either destined to despise this and claim it took my childhood...or love it. So I guess I love it? One thing is for certain...Bryce Dallas Howard = total babe.
I really enjoy this show. Some of the scenes are laugh out loud funny and many others make you chuckle to yourself. As someone who seems to have been immunized against the 'humour' of Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory its a relief to find a show like this.
Ty Burrell as Clive Bixby on his rendezvous cracks me up.
Not quite as charming as homecoming but still a super fun movie. Tom Holland is the perfect Spider-Man. He has a great arc with all the recent events of the MCU. Jake Gyllenhaal plays a great Mysterio. The effects look fantastic. Lots of good humor and action. Not as much high school drama but there still is some. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Spider-Man in the MCU with the mid credit stinger.
Oh Mike <3 Best episode so far.
BREATHE

"I deside what he deserves!"
Well, I guess this is the start of his downfall…
Jimmy knows his way around words.
Wow. But does he not take it?
He still is a laywer!
And he is loosing his hair.
Times up.
What does he plan with Mike?
"At the Moment you have Gus Fring's respect, I'd want to keep that if I where you"
He is going to go up at the top! He has the same way of thinking as Gus. Don't worry.
The Cousins are creepy as hell.
I know why the doctor was fine with trading his patient^^
"Howard is just polite."
Kim is right about what she says, but Howard couldn't do any different.
He just tries his best. He is the messenger and gets the blame.
As always.
"Lemme guess, 4000?"
Even after his death, Chuck finds a way how to show Jimmy how less he thought of him.
Sad.
"From now on: You. Are. Mine."
Fuck. Gus is no one to mess with.
Tensions are very high.
I still don't know if Nacho is still alive on "Breaking Bad".
Saul said: "It was Ignatio"
Was. Could go either way.
One thing is for sure:
War. Is. Coming.
You realise Gustavo is at the start of his power.
He gets his hands dirty.
He would be there, but wouldn't catch the guy himself.
Very subtle.
The film I insisted on watching every Halloween! Very fun Halloween themed film for kids!
Visually stunning, but poorly written, according to Zack Snyder's vision of the film, Sucker Punch it's an "Alice in Wonderland with machine guns", well, this movie it's so bad that apparently seems as if he was written while he was actually in wonderland.
Appears to be a dull and boring videogame with a dumb plot and a terrible cast such as the "browning" Emily "Boring" with her dull girls.
Filled with non-stop action and beautiful women but boring as hell, Sucker Punch is totally nonsense, with an weird first act, followed by a "what the hell ?' second act and concluding with an stupid third act. It has some short positive points such as the soundtrack by Tyler Bates, the awesome videogame look-like visual and beautiful girls and that's it, the rest of the movie is absolutely dispensable, which is a bit of a huge deception for a big studio movie like this.
Zack Snyder is not a bad director, he fills our eyes with beautiful images and the slow motion scenes he puts into are cool but annoying sometimes, but honestly, Snyder should be forbidden to write his original scripts for movies, i still don't understand 85% of the film, maybe because it sucks so much. 4/10
SPOILERS FOR BREAKING BAD
I love pies so much this episode made me want one instead of ruining them for me forever. Also Mike is such a badass. Still can't believe a pussy like Walt killed him.
End to the best season so far. I'm gonna hate when Jimmy and Kim split their relationship... He will do something terrible to her, I'm sure. Ps: Fuck you Chuck, I'm not sorry.
Pretty dull show that has its occasional moments but nothing too memorable. Go watch The Inbetweeners again instead.
I dig this show. The Last Airbender is still the king though.
