S5 FINALE SPOILERS:
This is sad because after S5 finale wouldn’t it be crazy for Marinette to realize that Adrien’s dad had the chance to be good and everything could’ve been different. He didn’t have to die, he could have been great. Maybe even for Adrien to realize that? Ugh it’d be so sad but so good. Also I genuinely love Betterfly, Shadybug, & Clawnoir
This special was actually really well done! I liked pretty much everything about it. It was even able to get me in the feels a few times
This is a really good looking movie. The details are amazing! However I seriously could not watch more than 20 minutes of this. The singing is almost NONSTOP. I don't mind some singing as long as there is more acting than singing. But in the little bit I watched, we were lucky to get maybe 5 minutes of dialogue before they would break out into song. If you love musicals, then this movie is for you. If you prefer plot and comedy, this movie is definitely no Shrek. It's a shame, because it really is beautifully rendered.
The pinnacle of live action and animation combination. Over 30 years old and it ain't been beat.
Amazzzziinnnggg animated/real movie! I love the fact that Disney & Warner Bros animators teamed up and did an outstanding job!
To be honest, there are times you won't have a clue what's going on (not in a good way) and the plot holes will hit you hard, and it will feel a whole lot longer than 2 hours. On the other hand, it all looks great. Best way to enjoy it is by switching off your brain n let the 10 year old in you have his fun.
“Smile my boy, it’s sunrise”
RIP Robin Williams, you will always be in my heart. Thank you for everything you've given us.
It's the last 2 episodes from the Entertainment District arc and 1 episode from the Swordsmith Village arc (which will be aired soon as the new season).
And crunchyroll hasn't bothered to remove the opening credits and end credits from each episode.
It's like binging episodes one by one on crunchyroll, but in a movie theatre.
I'm a sucker for feel-good musicals with catchy songs.
I don't know why but I shed a tear when the audience sang along just before Clay Calloway got the courage to sing.
Is it just me or is there some circlejerk going on at Disney where they keep using the same group of actors over and over again for their different brands? Just stop using Taika Waititi already.
The movie itself is pretty whatever.
It reminded me a lot of Onward; you could do a lot worse, but it probably won’t be remembered within the broader Pixar catalogue.
Not a lot of depth or subtext with this one, it’s a pretty straight forward adventure (which is also fine of course).
Some good animation (lots of visual ideas are being pulled from Star Wars), decent voice acting, fine characters, story’s alright.
It’s kinda inoffensive and doesn’t really warrant some of the extreme reactions it’s gotten.
The whole ‘woke’ label is baffling to me, it just seems like a smokescreen certain people use to cover up for their own homophobia, which only emphasizes how the word ‘woke’ carries little to no meaning nowadays.
Any regular person will be fine watching this, regardless of their political leaning.
Ffs, it’s mass entertainment after all.
5/10
Lightyear is a lighthearted and fun sci-fi adventure. Let me get this out of the way first and foremost, the visuals in this film are spectacular. The artists who did this deserve a raise because this might be the best looking animated film I have ever scene. I really enjoyed the touch of changing the resolution at a certain point. With that out of the way, I really enjoyed this film, the exploration of a new world was really well done. I liked the time traveling elements that were presented, borrowing some from Interstellar, and it brought some really sad moments that nearly drew a tear from me. The cast of characters were funny and their evolution throughout the story was a joy to watch. I was not super impressed with this movies interpretation of Zurg. I just felt like there was more that could have been done with that.
Score: 82%
Verdict: Great
What is people’s problem? This was a great funny movie
It’s no Pixar levels of greatness, but it’s no Illumination levels of shit either.
It’s a little too generic and predictable to be truly outstanding, but still very efficient and a fun time nonetheless.
Pretty much the entire movie is carried by the animation style (you gotta love how Spiderverse opened the doors for these weirder styles of animation), the music and the fun scenes where they’re ripping off the Oceans franchise.
Some decent characters as well (though the wolf felt like a carbon copy of the wolf character in Zootopia), some good jokes, but also a few Illumination moments.
I get that you’re making a kids film, but I take issue with films that treat kids like dumb pieces of shit.
Though overall, I didn’t mind this film at all, it’s pretty alright.

one of the best animated movie I've seen, and by far the best Christmas themed movie I've seen.
The best Christmas movie I've ever seen. It was funny, heartwarming, very well animated, and enough to keep you interested. Really highly recommended.
Outstanding movie. One of the best Christmas movies I've watched. It has everything it needs to become a Christmas classic.
This is one of the best Christmas movies I've watched in a long time! :christmas_tree:
A funny and touching adventure that you must watch during the holiday season! Whether it's with your kids or your significant other, one thing is for sure: You will love it! :two_hearts:
I loved this movie. One of the best Christmas movie on my list :christmas_tree:
There are multiple themes and I loved the way all of them are presented. The friendship between Jesper and Klaus, the father/son relationship, the spirituality around Klaus’s wife and his way of dealing with the passing of his wife,...
All the little details that makes this movie a Santa Klaus origin story is gold.
The animation style and the drawings are a bit old school but as soon as you are used to them, you are taken in a wonderful journey.
just ok overall; it felt like it laked depth and some of the characters acted like they were from cartoons :))
A weird one this. It could have been a good film - the source material is fine, Mads is excellent - but the movie is a bit of a jumble. An uncomfortable mix of comedy and thriller; there are some cool moments, but with a sledgehammer approach and an idiotic script, the final result is a disappointment. A pity, because there was real potential here.
Mads is great. Some of the action is decent. Overall the movie tries too hard. It wants to be stylish but ends up being weird.
Beautiful movie, the production value is outstanding and even though the story is nothing to write home about, the pacing is good enough that you won't get bored a single minute.
This is a good watch if you're wanting a heartwarming adventure movie, Karl Urban's voice and sea salt in your hair.
Everything I want in a movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
There were a few boneheaded moments like not killing Christos before leaving the house, but otherwise a well written and directed movie. I love all the main actors and even enjoyed Walker Scobell. He was the right blend of annoying and endearing.
I wish we could have seen more of Zoe Saldana, but I think the writing was good with respect to her role.
I absolutely loved the bar scene with Adam and Ellie. It was perfect. Jennifer Garner is just a gem.
Mark Ruffalo plays a great egotistical asshole. The final couple of scenes with the two Adams was very touching, though.
A great cast and a very good story.
I did find the soundtrack interesting. I'm not sure it entirely fits, but it doesn't seem out of place either. Great music, but it seems like their could have been better decisions that fit the scenes a bit more. Or are they capitalizing on the retro nature like Marvel stumbled upon with Guardians of the Galaxy?
The movie is not the best ever, but it's enjoyable and I loved the references to Starwars, including the modern day remake of the scene on Endor (in the forest on the speeders).
Don't take the movie too seriously and it's great.
This is a very good lighthearted movie that just works. Plenty of action and laughs, solid acting and there may be a plot hole or something but I didn't see it or care - i was too busy enjoying it.
10/10
Loved it! It had a lot of nostalgia from other films, on top with it’s sense of humour, a lot of fun, some cool effects, sound plot with a lot paradoxes obviously and a fine cast and with a heart, good work from ryan as always too
So I really enjoyed this. Mix of action and filled with enough emotional beats to bring it all together. The young Adam was excellent..
Some of the characters a bit underused but the story kept on rolling on all the same. Good Sunday afternoon viewing.
I have watched the movie in Cinemark preview yesterday, and I can say, well done! The movie is genuine and funny, you will enjoy every moment of it and won't feel bored at all. The dynamic between Ryan and the boy is amazing, and the story, camera, and dialogs are good, and there are some emotional moments too in the movie, plus the action, drama, and sci-fi. I highly recommend watching this movie.
I wish they had done a mini series with this IP. It has a lot of potential but the movie felt a bit rushed. Still really liked the movie, well done, good story even though it is quite predictable, but the world is great and I wish we could have seen more of it.
