this episode really reminded me of naoki urusawa's monster and neon genesis evangelion
angles and expressions going crazyyy
Akira appearing more devil than man (especially when he did not cry at the mention of his mom), and Silene and Kaim demonstrating the ability to love or something akin to it. The line between devil and man was blurred in this episode.
I love Ritsuko so much.
That reveal at the end reminded me of those regarding the Homunculi and soul gems from FMA and Madoka respectively. Sheesh.
Reminded of that verse from the Revelations that is crucial to Naoki Urusawa's themes: a monster can only be defeated by a greater monster
Eager to know if whoever Touga was talking to was a member of the rose council or someone else at the end
"I'm a king, not a hamster" goes so hard actually
has madoka magica's unexpectedly bleak atmosphere and intrigue <33
i think it was very lesbophobic of derry girls to give clare so much happiness only to rip it away from her so quickly </33
lovely episode the ending of which very nicely parallels last season's finale
sheeeesh that juxtaposition at the end ??????? and also i'm amazed by how such subtle things added so much to the storytelling and tone and of the ending scene due to the cast's characterization this past season (e.g. sister michael's expression changing showing how the derry girls' silly little thing managed to touch a cynic like her despite it all, joe putting a hand on gerry's shoulder highlighting just how grave and serious current events were)
Tanjiro running away from his family and doing his best not to turn back, and him cutting his neck. Sheesh.
this episode was so unserious ohmygod i' crying
I like Miki's character and arc, and the reveal regarding his sister's piano-playing skills and identity was just so good. Also the visuals of the student council president while Miki was contemplating his words were just so funny!
I love the music, tropes, or rather how they are subverted ??? There's also something about Utena being the one to "deflower" Saionji. Excited to see where this will go!!
love the art, atmosphere, and imagery of wires as something that connect AND slice
the animation, the art, the music, the craziness, wammawink giving kyubey and princess bubblegum energy !! i'm so here for this
It's only the beginning but I'm already feeling so melancholic :"")
I find it interesting that Kasey did not use her powers to convince Johny not to participate in the heist. I like her so far.
I love the soundtrack. Very ambient!
I love this so much! I initially thought that Reigen's teachings were antithetical to Uncle Ben's "with great power comes great responsibility" until I realized that knowing your limitations and holding the right people accountable is being responsible. I can't wait for season 3!!
This episode was amazing !!! I love the animation, storyboarding, and dialogue so much !! I was expecting Reigen to come in and launch a surprise attack on one of the Ultimate 5, but the Self Defense Rush still managed to take me by surprise and had me laughing out loud. I love this series so much <33
so overwhelmed by the new cast and factions. I love the music and development here!
NO WAY TT^TT I was SO happy and proud of Mob, and his growth!!!! I thought this was supposed to be a cute and silly slice of life :((((((( the burnt bodies have to be fake !! They were just planted there to trigger Shigeo's strong emotions !!
Therapist: Yassified Mob isn't real, he can't hurt you.
Yassified Mob:
Amazing art and animation, lovely themes, and touching development and relationships between the characters! I have a newfound appreciation for characters like Mob and Aang- powerful yet compassionate kids who do their best to stick to their principles. Reigen, the reason I decided to watch this series, was surprisingly such a sensible and dependable adult?? Probably the most responsible adult I've ever encountered in series with children/teens as protagonists like he really just wants Mob to live normally and regard his psychic abilities as any other regular skill; his influence on him is so sweet. This was so nice, and I need mooore.
please tell me Polnareff gets his earring back somehow
Joseph wearing Caesar's headband and the ring containing the antidote AND symbolizing a promise he made to him ???? Alright :""")
I am starting to really like Lisa Lisa too.
Am I correct in understanding that the baby Erina rescued from the ship was Joseph's mother??? I really thought that the baby she was carrying and the baby she found were gonna repeat Jonathan and Dio's history :000
