This is easily one of the most interesting and original shows I've seen in a long time. Kirsten Dunst is brilliant and the writing is top notch. I can't wait to see where this story goes.
This show is perfect. Utterly hilarious. Julie and Billy are exactly the right amount of annoyed at everything. The references are sublime and are even funnier now some years on.
One of the best true crime docs, in large part because it's paced so well, and was an entirely appropriate 3 episodes, not the bloated drawn out 10 (or more).
Wow. This is deeply unfunny. When terrible writing happens to great casts... with HBO money... Just astonishingly bad.
Utterly bored me to death.
0 stars. This is FICTION. Someone came up with this warped, utterly absurd story, and didn't have the DECENCY to come up with any kind of resolution for (almost) any of the loose ends they invented? Sloppy garbage. A total waste of 8 hours. And, I mean, DOPPELGÄNGERS? This isn't crime. This is just really poor FANTASY.
I realise this is "what Joel does" but it's nowhere near sharp enough for my taste.
3 episodes in and I am loving this series. Pleasantly surprised by the smart, thoughtful writing, excellent acting and stunning cinematography.
A powerful series featuring an outstanding performance by Julie Walters.
I had the privilege of seeing the first two episodes at an advance screening event in Australia and have to say they are truly excellent. The writing, acting and direction are sublime and it, appropriately, looks like a million bucks (pounds?). There is just the right amount of humour and I was surprisingly moved by the story due to the stellar performances from the entire cast.
It was no 'Making a Murderer' that's for sure.
After a lot of meandering this show really seems to have found its feet in the excellent penultimate and final episodes of season 2. Fonda and Tomlin are always a joy to watch despite the often lacklustre jokes and uneven tone, and Tomlin is surprisingly adept at bringing pathos to the more emotionally resonant material.
A magnificent indictment on warmongering politicians from any period.
Samantha Bee is so much sharper than anyone else in late night. Gloriously biased towards facts and common sense.
Actually funny which is truly miraculous for a network family comedy in 2016.
Great performances and direction but the material just isn't there. It starts off so strong but then just meanders on, not really making any sense for 4 more hours. A shame. More time in the writers room next time please.
Brilliant documentary series if very dispiriting in regards to the US justice system.
