Glad I saved it to watch on one of those lazy days.
My only interest was to finish the saga and had low expectations.
Poor story, the sidekicks are annoying, LOTS of poor CGI, which was a surprise, and some old characters just to make an appearance.
Suddenly his son is dead, on the brink of divorce, no context to the plot, no explanations, it all seems poorly though of.
Not a lot going for it, and a long long long way from the Indiana Jones we know and love.
This show had me fired up from the beginning.
Fun to watch a hitman trying to change profession while finding himself.
Excellent first season, good 2 and 3rd seasons and a mediocre 4th and final season.
The last season feels like a different show from the other 3.
Worth a watch but I needed to push through the last season.
Haven't played the games unfortunately, but am keen on doing it.
Decided to watch the movie without that context and found the plot unbelievable. thinking of that whole mechanism below Barcelona's streets just annoyed me. Otherwise it was imaginative although not explaining much of backstory but leaving the suspense for the next one.
Entertaining, fun, an aerial chase with caravels is a first, made for an entertaining watch if you know what you are getting.
Overall seems like a die hard movie origin story. Flashy, but without much content.
What a disappointment. I went to this movie with low expectations because the poster itself made me have reservations regarding the story.
Thor seems to have several versions, fun, idiot, bro, hero, clueless and so on but the latest trend of bro Thor and this idiot one doesn't feel right to me. The story is weak and the ending... underwhelming. It all wraps up in an instance with lots to be explained.
The ending feels rushed.
If not for the great soundtrack this would've been harder still to watch. O enjoyed Ragnarok but this is just... off.
Thor will return it says in the end. If they keep going like this I hope not. I remember when Thor was fun to watch and not a pain.
It follows the new Joker take on the Gotham universe.
They give us a different batman, a batman that's purely driven by revenge "I'm vengeance" with a different approach to his origin story although the morals are there. No killing, no guns and a sense of honour.
Batman grows throughout the movie, finding constructive purpose and molding to what the city needs him to be.
The movie itself is well made, a noir take on a rotten city with a different batman with room to grow.
This said, the movie is slow, batman plays his part as a pawn in the Riddler's plan and doesn't solve or stop anything which is strange given the detective facet they show. Riddler's plan goes through with a forced ending producing Gotham's saviour which doesn't seem that well thought. The idea is there, the people start to believe and follow batman, their saviour, but considering batman didn't stop any of the Riddler's plan, it's a bit of a miss.
Three Riddler turns out great, if being a sociopath is what's intended.
The suit is cool and we are presented with an inventive but not futuristic batman. In every gun fight I wondered how the suit was so bullet proof but light and manoeuvrable enough for him to move and fight, jump, climb, etc. He builds the bat mobile and the bike and they are similar to regular vehicles, just enhanced. The car chase is brilliant and after penguins car gets turned over, the cinematography is excellent.
In the end, I believe we were spoiled by Bale's batman, which had the wits, the tools, the toys and gadgets that amount to a brilliant batman, along with excellent villains, something this one isn't after the first movie.
Slow paced, brilliant dark dark performance by Joaquin. I'm not a connoisseur of DC but having followed the batman movies it didn't make much sense, although it really is a good take on the descent into madness by the Joker. Good watch but really dark and slow paced.
The expectation wasn't high so I was able to enjoy the movie. Had a few laughs.
Laughed a lot. Dean is hysterical in this episode. A good chance of pace and watch the post credits!
I usually rate my movies accordingly to how I felt watching it and that's why I have it an 8. The beginning is superb just like the original and I just felt happy with the iconic and familiar song. And just like the original so is most of the rest of the film. A few changes here and there but the songs and moments are present. I felt Musafa's death was underwhelming for my hopes but I got into the story and sometimes felt like a little kid again, which was great!
Why would you need to turn political on this. This episode was a pain to watch. Just paving the way for a black captain America with the focus on being black and not the qualities Steve Rogers showed to the whole world. It's not about being a great human being, but just about the colour of the skin. Allied with a psycho, fallen to disgrace white captain America just didn't captivate me. The worst episode so far.
On a side note, small parts of character building were pleasing to watch
Well, 3 years after, finally got to see the movie. Managed to fend off the spoilers which was great for my viewing experience.
I really enjoyed the movie and great conclusion to the enormous marathon of movies before it.
There are several things I really dislike about the movie, like fat Thor, minimizing Vision's sacrifice and power ( for someone with an infinity stone in its forehead was expecting more), and captain getting to return to the past? that was the guide, don't charge anything for the plan to work right?
Widow's sacrifice was also a high point helping define Hawkeye's path.
But overall I really, really liked it. Had lots of fun watching and felt emotionally involved with the plot. Fitting end to the "greatest Avenger", the weight of the universe on his shoulders, loved Cap and Thor side by side, spider man, doctor strange and the whole gang together.
good one!
Refreshing take on alternate universes. It's fun to watch thinking of several what ifs.
However, it has several plot holes mainly in some weak episodes and the silly choice of heroes from the multiverse. With so many choices that's the best the watcher can muster?
You can argue that's the point since he knows all and sees all but still. Fun, boring, entertaining but mostly meh.
This one is not like the others. You need to push through the first episodes to make some sense of it. Then it gets traction, gets interesting and shows a really dark powerful side of Wanda's.
The grief of someone who lost all that mattered to her, allied with the scarlet witch's power makes way for a pretend world with mind controlled residents giving a sense of normalcy.
the characters are fine overall but who the heck is Agnes? And how is she able to keep out of everyone's radar.
good show, demonstrating Wanda's human side.
Fun!
What can I say about a show that gives the best episodes when the main character doesn't feature in them?
Feels boring and a bad follow up for the Mandalorian until the Mandalorian features in it. I find it strange that they use 2 episodes to build on Mando's story outside the Mandalorian! How do they justify that the kids return is done on a different show when we are waiting for Mando's season 3 after leaving the kid?
It was entertaining because star wars, but without the Mandalorian it would be much worse. Feels like and unneeded show and doesn't build the hype for a following season.
Just a rant, after watching the Jedi having troubles with Cad Bane through all of clone wars, seeing an aging Boba Fett get rid of him in like 20 seconds was simply strange. Either Jedi are idiots and terrible fighters or... something's off. Jango Fett and Boba Fett were bested by Jedi and Cad Bane successfully fended off more than one Jedi at the same time. What gives?
Season ends with a good episode. The last ones were good but had nothing to do with Boa Fett. This shows his allies help him fight for dominance of Tatooine in an honourable person, wanting the best for the people. What a change from the known Boba. As usual, Mando steals the show. Although Fett stil manages to kill Cab Bane in. 20 second fight.
The droids follow the stormtroopers creed "can't hit sh*t" even when the targets are all clustered and together.
The 8 given reflects the good parts and Mando's and the kid appearance with an entertaining plot but with lack of execution.
Found it better than the ones with Boba Fett and generally entertaining.
Fun movie with a somewhat different approach to the lives of NPCs. It's easy to watch and to find several references do other movies and characters.
After ready player one though, it's just one more movie.
Builds beautifully on the first season. This one is better paced and has better general direction.
I find myself involved in the plot, rooting for my favourite characters and laughing at some fun parts.
The season ending is great and the last episode is superb. I'm really curious to where it goes from here.
Mando is really good and believable and I got to love Fennec Shand. She kicks a** and plays a superb character.
Best of the SW universe for quite some time.
Western spaghetti meets Star Wars. The idea is great and explores the SW world a bit. Familiar and unfamiliar places and people.
It starts kinda slow but gets going with a short season but some really good episodes.
Because it is so short, some filler episodes kinda bum me out but there is always something going on.
Excited for season 2!
Usually I review the entire season and not individual episodes, but freaking Ashoka Tano!!
Come on! We find the kid's name, Grogu, and get a blast of the dark path and the sorrow that still haunts Ashoka regarding the clone wars and Skywalker's fall.
Besides it's a good plot, something Ashoka would really be doing and more building of Mando's personality.
Jedi are enemies of Mandalore, but they work together.
Great episode!
Grogu!
This is just a regular animation movie. It revolves around the dramas of 13 year olds with focus on an Asian family with super controller mother. Watching the story kind of explains why the mother is like that and everything builds from there.
The animation is superb and the pandas are top notch.
For me, it's an enjoyable movie, that leaves a lot of unanswered questions regarding the hole family legacy.
So not great but not bad either, far from Pixar's best.
JOHN F***ING WICK! You really don't mess with the Baba Yaga.
Although losing the novelty from the first one this is a really action packed kick ass movie.
The fights are tremendous and a monstrous scene with Sofia and her dogs... One of the best ever!
The dialog isn't nothing to write home about but this is an action movie and it delivers on all counts.
Some new characters are a worthy addition and I'm really fired up to see where this goes.
Hahahahahahahaha. Well I got what I was expecting. As the franchise goes forward the film's get more ridiculous every time.
I had fun and enjoyed the movie but found myself rolling my eyes through several scenes like "really?".
Predictable story, missing Brian, Shaw and Hobbs results in one of those Sunday movies that we just watch.
Story short, when you have family you don't need physics!
When I first started the show I really struggled to get by the first episode. But then... WTF! This got interesting.
It's well paced, building up to the season finale, developing main characters and their motivations and ideals. The secondary characters don't add much to the show but are a good support network.
It explores a good plot and is well written.
The final episode is epic!
Let's hope for a good 2nd season.
Got a lot worse than the original series. the fights are slow and quick without any exciting parts. I'm deciding whether to keep watching just for the final fight between father and son, but this one was a pain to watch...
Just finished the show. The final 4 episodes are EPIC, the rest of the seasons are a bit of hit and miss with several interesting parts of world's and people affected by the war and the way they see it.
Ashoka Tano is an excellent character. she's likable, honest, has her heart on the right place and grows so much throughout the show.
She makes a terrific pair with Anakin Skywalker and it's great to see a padawan with Skywalker.
Takes us through the clone wars, up until order 66. Grows our vision of the clones as human beings and their search of self and purpose.
Missing from the show are pivotal parts of the plot, like Dooku's death, Grievous's capture and the standoff between the chancellor, na Windu and the fall of Anakin into Darth Vader.
On a side note, Jedis are idiots. May be because of their ideals, but they are found lacking throughout the whole show. Not very clever, insightful, sharp or that much great warriors as they are made out to be. It gets better towards the end.
Overall, loved the show!
I gave this movie a 6 just because of the cast and acting which was spot on, otherwise would be lower.
I found it boring with a great satire of today's modern society.
Globally, scientists aren't heard nor listened to and even when the evidence is right in front of their eyes they still deny it.
It depicts the purposeless of most of our lives giving attention and importance to petty things, events and persons. And we keep making stupid people famous...
If that's the purpose of the film than it accomplished what it set out to be, although in a boring and just occasionally funny way.
Creepiest episode so far! excellent plot and the children are really super creepy.
what a great show! the story unfolds effortlessly, the characters grow, the animations are spot on and the final season, specifically the last 3 episodes are perfect! excellent ending, great show!
script writers take notes. that's how you end a show. the last two episodes are flawlessly epic, and a show with a proper ending is something rare. loved the show!
although the door is open for more seasons it's a great ending
EPIC! JUST EPIC! this is a great episode. for me the best so far
