Not that great. I love watching Shark content but this was by far the worst one yet. Poorly written. The characters were poorly developed. Couldn’t relate to either leads. The mayor of Paris was a dud. In most movies a shark attack is such serious news but in this no one wanted to believe that there was a shark in the Seine. The development of the shark was also quite weak. I mean come on! First it’s in a fresh water. Second it’s breeding my itself. Third it took 3 years for the shark to evolve into a new species?!?! Though the ending makes it seem that there will be a sequel I hope they complete the story in that one!
Maybe my funny bone has changed or Jerry Seinfeld is not funny. There is no structure to the episodes until this season but even those are a bit fragmented. I feel like Kramer is funny but only because he is crazy. But sometimes he’s more sane than Jerry and co. (Elaine and George). I feel as all 4 of them have destroyed some poor person’s life in one way or another. Kramer more than most. Vomiting on people. Burning someone house down. Just to name a few.
The show shows them as such great communicators that they tell each other about who they are dating and who they have a crush on but none of them could figure out that Elaine at one point was dating a maniac Joe Davola. And their pitch to the director of NBC is truly this show it is about nothing. And the jokes that Jerry does at the comedy club are not that great. Ex. People’s age should determine the speed of their cars. If you’re 80 then let them drive at 80. Or how about long ago a person average age was 30, not 72 as it is today. At that time 30 was the new 72. Not a funny joke!
I want to scream at Chloe!! “Lucifer you’re not honest with me!” Or “Lucifer you’re not forthcoming with the truth!” I’m so over it! It’s honestly frustrating how frustrating she is. Lucifer always says that he is the devil. She’s still complaining about him lying after seeing his devil face. How dubious did God make her to be?
Really good movie.
There was laughter and lots of fun. Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn were amazing to watch.
Why can't Jared Leto be clean shaven for once?
Ok, that question aside, Harley Quinn was phenomenal!!!!!
The movie is not that good. The whole movie was carried on the back of Harley Quinn and her relationship with Joker. The rest of the characters were all backdrops. Joker was PERFECT, especially in the scene in which he surrounds himself in knives, bullets and guns.
An unconventional take on the story of the mermaid. It's a story with a deep message about human greed and saving the environment.
Good movie.
Enjoyable and relatable.
This is important!
Worth 1 star!
Gregory Peck's grandson? and the guy doesn't get a decent role? SHOCKING!
The story follows the typical sleeping beauty fairy tale or if you've read the the more appropriate story of Briar Rose. The story is adapted from it and follows a darker path (not that dark really). The story has so many loopholes it doesn't make sense and the writer doesn't try to make sense of it either. It's confusing as hell. First, Thomas has been suffering from these dreams/nightmares for 3 years, and his uncle dies conveniently afterwards so that he could inherit Caiser Garden, the haunted house?
Second, the bloodline is the key to this story? How so? Also, Thomas doesn't have any children, and I'm pretty sure that he's an only child, so how will his bloodline survive?
Which takes us to the third point, Thomas is so eager to wake up Briar Rose that he doesn't wait around for Daniel to decipher the whole text. Then why'd he take out it of the mansion anyways? He read the most convenient part and ran like a knight to save the damsel in distress. Only to find out that the demon Ibis (or something) is watching over Briar Rose so it doesn't bring about the apocalypse. To which Thomas does like an idiot as he gives her a bloody kiss and wakes her up.
OH GOSH, now the black - eyed demon from Supernatural is free and roaming the world. Where is Sam and Dean when you need them? BOYS you need to get your pretty asses to Caiser Garden cause I'm pretty sure that Thomas woke up the black-eyed demon from hell for you to knife.
As a fan of retelling of old fairy tales, this one failed miserably. It would have been worth it to watch gorgeous Ethan Peck grow into his character. His character was so 2D, with no depth and practically no lines.
Warning: Watch at your own risk!
You go from watching Anne Hathaway playing the role of an intern against "The Devil" (Meryl Streep) and here she is playing the boss, while De Niro plays the Intern. Well done film makers, well done!
This movie is truly a feel good movie. Hathaway's role is like Miranda Priestly, but so much down to earth. They both get their job done, they both want results and they both love their jobs. Jules (aka the Boss) is like the warmer side to Miranda. She cares for the company she started, she loves her job and has devoted all waking hours to it.
De Niro is amazing. He's such a phenomenal actor, that it's so good to watch him in this movie giving fatherly-like advice to Jules. The ending was a bit of a disappointment, but still I liked that she doesn't give up on the dream that she and her company can make it, if they just tried hard enough.
The movie was boring I'd rather sit through 10 seasons of Smallville with Tom Welling as Clark Kent, than watching this. And there is a huge similarity between Henry and Tom. The movie was a bit disappointing, but tolerable to the point of me just sticking around for the special effects. That's it.
Reading: 3.5/10
Blake Lively was enchanting and beautiful. I haven't watched her Savages but in this she was classic. Though the story felt like I've read it somewhere. It's quite familiar.
One of the best performances of Julianne Moore. I believed she was Alice every second of the movie. I read the book when it first came out and I was astounded that a medical doctor had so much talent as Lisa Genova to write this story. Moore really brought out Alice's struggles with her disease straight out of the textbook to real life experiences. She gave people who suffer from this disease a voice, and I'm glad that she won that award, its most deserved.
The performance and the script was so profound that it really moves you. Yes the disease has no cure, yes the disease is neurological and yes the disease shouldn't define who we are after being diagnosed with it. As Moore rightly said, "the disease will not be bargained with". Its like taking a stair down towards the unknown one-step-at-a-time, though for some its fast and for some its a slow process.
Beautiful performance for a well written story.
