Great show. It has a bit of a sad atmosphere, because Mary has a lot of interaction with terminally ill patients. But if you can get around that, the story is quite good and compelling. There are 3 seasons and it brings everything to a close.
In some ways it reminds me of Dexter, in some ways of Good Behaviour.
Recommended to (binge) watch.
Truly gripping from episode 1. Incredible acting, every character acts in a logical way. You'll expect about 15 of them along the way, maybe at times the right one but it'll still be shocking in the end. Excellent production as well, the sideways angles and mirror shots are perfect for each scene.
This movie is not a sci-fi... This is a movie about drugs and addiction. The way it shows the road down is unique. Drug like diamonds, or shiny precious pills are the reality for those addicted to it. I think it is a great movie but do not sit down to watch it expecting a sci-fi or an action movie.
This movie had some good things in there like the shot in the round corridor being a nice nod to the original set of '60s Bond movies, the portrait of mrs Dench in the hallway.... but the ending I could see coming by halfway the movie. And it makes me deeply saddened. Very disappointing. It destroys the movie for me.
I had no idea a good, scratch that… great Top Gun could ever be made but I was wrong. A good story with tense action, emotions and amazing cinematography with some of the coolest shots I’ve ever seen. I also think this is Tom Cruises best performance to date. Hats of to the director for not making it cheesy.
Like da Vinci's shoe box diorama : it's well put together, contained, and easy to figure out.
The most surprising thing about this chamber thriller story of a cutter ("I'm not a tailor"), his assistant and the mob in early 60s Chicago is that it wasn't a play first. Everything from the sets to the blocking looks like it was done on the stage first, but no, this original screenplay always identified as a movie, no matter how odd it presents in that light.
What's left is a film that thinks it's more clever than it is (I saw well over half of the 'twists' coming even before they got their bobby socks on), but that doesn't prevent it from looking good. The other plus that keeps the film bobbing above average is the cast, with a Mark Rylance who absolutely owns the lead role and a refreshingly good Zoey Deutch who brings much needed light to this noir production.
Probably would've been more fun to watch in a theatre than a home theater, but that doesn't mean it wasn't enjoyable.
4 episodes of convoluted plot, technobabble and emotional detachment, 2 episodes of essentially what I was hoping for... makes for a very ambivalent season to be honest.
Yes, I liked where this show's Loki ended up - but I didn't like the way they arrived at that point.
For a show whose every episode is essentially paint-by-numbers, it has to be hard to mess up the formula. That said, this episode found a way to do it. Terrible writing from the first scene to the last. Cringe-worthy dialog. I am surprised that a show with this kind of visibility could have been done so poorly. Sure, it did mess with the formula a little bit but the twist was still there and if you'd seen the other episodes you could see it coming a mile away.

Episode 1 was good then it got very stupid and dumb , the script went directly downhill sooo many incoherent stuff and decisions along the way.
This could have end in 3 episodes, just shoot him!
Season 1 was good. But the director/writer in season 1. Only did 1 episode in season 2. That explains the 2nd season sucking. The story is all over the place. To many characters to care what the heck is going on. They went cheaper/less CGI on season 2 as well. That was a strong point in season 1. I am not even gonna bother finishing this season.
It is what it is. It started good, and ended bad. Blend some stupidity, with some comedy, a little bit of nonsense, with a dash of action, a good character here, a terrible one there. Some ridiculous storytelling, and some crossovers from time to time, stir it well, and you have Legends of Tomorrow.
I did not like this. I went on a time travel movie binge after pre-destination and this was recommended. So I was used to figuring out the intricacies of time travel movies. Normally I can understand them after a while, but I could not follow at all during this. Also, its a short movie so it ended before I could figure out wtf was going on.
I've enjoyed this series a lot, each season has its own distinct set, characters and a small set of main issues. Season 5 was a bit less good, season 6 was omg dreadful. It was slow and nearly painful to get through season 6. And then came....... season 7. In 1 word: WOW. Loved it. They totally aced that season. Ok, the tiny plothole still occurred here and there, but at least its not a total insult to everyone's intelligence (compared to for example the utterly retardedness in Blindspot). Season 6 was a good basis for the events in season 7, so you cannot really skip season 6 altogether, but I postponed getting into season 7 as I was not expecting a huge improvement over the endless drama of the previous season. Praise the Lord, my expectations were too low :-)
The second season is an improvement from the first. Watched the finale without knowing it's the finale and I was shocked to find myself wishing there were 13 episodes like all the other Marvel shows. Funny it gets cancelled just when I started to enjoy it. Meh. Can't say I'm too mad, though. But good season. I liked it a lot.
Solid sunday afternoon/evening thriller - I was interested in this movie mainly because I'm a big Hannah-fan from former tv show Dexter and Yvonne does a good job performing the role of Caroline. Also as a guy, seeing a naked Yvonne Strahovski is pretty good i'll tell you that - oh and surpsiring end/twist!
Ok, so what if John Wick was a Beekeeper? Dumb, but not bad.
Season 3 really went down the shitter. I don't think the show ever surpassed it's amazing first season.
Yeah, okay mate, I'm pleased the stopped at this point. This series was a surprise, but was defo coming off the rails in season 3
Still, got to say I enjoyed the whole hitman as the ordinary angry guy next door vibe.
I was a bit worried about yet another woke crap series - but..... aside one totally racist "I am not having this conversation with a white guy" remark, this is actually how things should be: just a really good series! there is a high Tom Clancy / Jack Ryan vibe to it.
Not sure why Morgan Freeman is on the poster here on Trakt, he's nowhere in the series. At least not in the first 6 episodes. Completely binged this....
By no means will this be a movie you will love but it will be a one of those funny and silly “horror” spoof movies that you will find amusing.
The first two acts were really interesting, but the reveal was a bit underwhelming.
wtf......... Charly :'( the best thing about season 3.
I am not sure if I can really like this Starwars episode much. It's one big remake of the attack on the DeathStar in orbit around Endor, even including the base door leading to the power source. Only thing missing is some furry knock off of the Ewoks, where I guess the Kaylon come in - instead.
The show has some ups and downs. First season I was wondering is this drama or parody. Second seasons start like first, but in the middle goes really good. Third seasons for me was the best. Fourth season is worst, six slow episodes with almost nothing happening and then they finish it in the last two. I did not like the final. The show started with Barry and Monroe. I was expecting the final to be about them. In my opinion it is not. I am ok with Sally story, but the other characters final was stupid.
At least there is an ending to the series. But there are too many parallels to Dexter.
What a disappointing last season. What a predictable and terrible crap ending. At least the final scenes of the fake-movie are added that give things a somewhat nice ending.
But after the great and inventive writing of the first seasons, this is all just one big disappointment.m
My favorite Marvel show so far. It was actually fun, and it delivered to what it set out to be, a fun Christmas show.
On paper this sounded like an interesting action flick. But oh my... what a piece of crap. Ruby Rose is fugly. And not an actress. Actrash with that short hair and trailerstyle tats. The 'story' is also just trash. Cinematic shots are all throughout the movie the same, with side shots of a vehicle moving. So called 'action' scenes are dull and either utter bull or just random and predictable. Everything is aimed at having as many explosions as possible.
And of course. We have here also yet another movie about that all police are white and crooked. Right.
I cant find a single positive thing about this movie. Well ok: it's short.
Loads of gore. A bit too much for my taste. Some funny parts in there, but overall the movie just made no sense at all. Huge plot holes, for as far as there was a plot. The whole story around Kate having the need to save Geeta was nonsense, with all the facts around that... Especially Kate walking around alone in between hordes of zombies, going into a huge building and just by pure luck (?) finding what she is looking for, etc etc. Probably the worst part of this movie from a plot point of view. But it was so nonsense that it brings down the rest of the story also, even further. Too bad and not needed. Everything else was extremely predictable. Too predictable.
Overall maybe it's an enjoyable zombie movie if that's really your thing.
But for me, the movie made me feel sad and perhaps even a bit depressed. Too negative and pointless.
Overall the Good Place is a decent show with some ups and downs. It has some cringey moment but then some moments that are heartwarming to. In my opinion the 2md season was a struggle to get through but it is well worth doing to get to the much better 3rd and 4th seasons. I think the four main characters worked well together and I was very attached by the end of this pretty well written show.
It’s okay!!!
The effects are good and well done, the acting is okay and passable.
The best way to describe it is its full of cheese and it knows it, it even plays into it!!!!!
It’s a switch off, sink into the sofa and be entertained tv show, just don’t expect things to make sense or be award worthy.
Just enjoy!!!!!!
