It's not like this movie is bad, it's more like it's so mediocre there's not much to it. They took a whole bunch of old cliches from other sci-fi-ish movies and put it all together, but it doesn't work. It's more like a soapy love drama in sci-fi entourage. And all that woke agenda doesn't help either - all good characters are either black or asian, and all bad people are whites.
there was this one beautiful silhouette shot i really liked, it's around that chapter when he was in florida, then his fight with that man was good, especially the sound design, it was unusually quiet for a fight scene and that exact detail is what drew me in
also his internal monologue throughout the movie was nice, Michael Fassbender was great
Boring, then boring, at the en boring. 1 fight that is it, a real one, no a skinny girl who eats lettuce knocking a 250 pound dude, nothing more, no action, bad script, I think nowadays directors and actors just take advantage of Netflix, Amazon, 20 years ago, no one read the script and said, ok let's do this, but today the ppl could watch a show about someone inclusive painting a wall and saying , the best movie, the painter break the mold, he Is not a poor latino, he Is the new freedom, jajjaja. Skip it, I would like to see a korean cop movie or an Indian cop drama dance romance instead, at least those movies are something that i could talk during my lunch.
The last Kingdom "The message" is what this should have been called. Gay washing an established series is what Netflix et al insists on doing these days. This is at best pseudo "history". Typical woke hive mind propaganda masquerading as entertainment. This movie is yet reason to cancel your Netflix subscription.
I'm tired bullshit movie from Marvel and DC. They are taking us for granted. What a basic plot and execution.
The movie was great and dealt with a difficult subject without ever being "woke", which I strongly dislike; when directors clumsily try to push a narrative where it doesn't belong, it fully takes me out of the story. Rest assured, this is not that.
The movie stuck closely to historical events but the audience is privy to the 3 different perspectives that entirely change the story for each character. Not only do "facts" change, but it's interesting to see how each character views themselves, as well as the other 2 characters jn a different light. I see a lot of comments complaining of too much repetition, but I feel they must have gone into this expecting an action movie, and overlooked all forms of subtle differences.
If "Spot the Difference" puzzles in the backs of magazines are difficult and frustrating for you, I recommend you go watch a different movie.
Yet another summer blockbuster stolen by the wrestler in the cast! Not as fun as Guardians of the Universe, but big upgrade from the previous attempt at Suicide Squard. Had Harley Quinn still been a novelty, the movie would be a gem, but she is getting a little played out at this point. Not sure I'm up for more with this bunch, but it improves the DC side of the ledger at long lost.
