People downvoting this like we know anything at all about the show.
Dont understand why rating shows/episodes before the release date is still a thing.
The reason why it's a new series is pretty simple. When this season fails they can start Doctor Who 2005 back up and pretend this season never happened.
In my opinion, this is definitely in the top 10 best Fast movies.
Oh sure, lets leave the unstable "destroyed a toy dog" guy in charge of the drill pressure thing, it'll be fiiiine! Also, let's have him help the guy that argued with him earlier, he'll do his best to save him!
I know, I know, plot devices.
It was a good first episode. I hope this contues. I don't get all the hate. But if I am guessing right, people didn't like how she-hulk is instantly able to perform stuff better than bruce.
DAREDEVIL IS COMING WOOO MY MAN
There are two kinds of sitcoms - the ones that you can watch every couple of years and still have good laughs about and then the ones you didn't even laugh at the first time. Now guess what this belongs to.
What I love the most about it is the total lack of so-called political correctness. A show like this would be impossible today because there would be an outcry and commitees beeing formed to get this off the air.
Oh what great were those times.
This was not good. I wanted to like it for the cast. (obviously what they were going for)
I know you really really want it too and for people to take up arms against the evil patriarchy, but by and large most people couldn't care they just want to be entertained. Need a woke warning on movies these days
if anyone ever wants a definition of the term "anti-climax" then i think it's really great that we now have the perfect example
Something in me tells me this could have been so much more and better.
It's a good tv show don't get me wrong, it's enjoyable and there's some nice ideas in there.
But the whole oh we have to just follow the tram lines cause we have no choice so now I'm going to say this and you're going to say that and we're going to walk that door just like the machine told us we'll do, and then the big turnaround when Lilly threw away the gun, disobeying the predetermined nature of our universe etc. I mean come on, I suspect that people who watch and enjoy these kind of shows need a little bit more than that.
Also, what? In the machine? What does that even mean you live in the machine? Physically? The machine doesn't even create atoms, it just projects what it predicts so it's not even a simulation. In code as part of a program? That wouldn't be less weird either. So I gave up and just looked at the tv show more like an abstract kind of piece of art and I can live with that. And it's a great show. But F this could have been so much more interesting in my opinion.
The movie is very good, don't care about the reviews.
This is what happens when people are influenced by reviews.
Have your own opinion without being influenced.
I feel the phrase "I'm lost" can't quite sum up how I feel about the last two episodes. The Weeping Angles episode was unbelievably good and it just turned so bad so quickly. Totally lost on all of this and I understand more will be revealed soon but right now... I'm not sure how much I care.
Not sure if it was due to COVID but this was far too rushed, the last two episodes needed to be doubled if not tripled.
The way her fierce fight for survival against neglect, judgement, and loneliness was portrayed hit right in the feels beautifully
So that was the best episode of the season and good ending to the series. Though the journey was plagued with some BS fillers and drama. Overall a good ending.
SciFi-Movies often do not stand the test of time, nowadays e.g. the original Star Wars or Star Trek flicks as well as Alien look ridiculous at certain times. But this is nothing compared to Dune, because here weak acting (or at least very weak characters) are put into the mix and make this supposedly master piece really bad. Why Dune is (still) considered a must-see by certain fans is beyond me and I suspect that the hype about director David Lynch is the main reason for that.
Totally brilliant. Makes the complex and wondrous easy understand with simple context.
Having watched each episode of this show I was left feeling somewhat 'small' in the grand scheme of things. Whilst we like to think that things re in our control when all is said and done no-one here on earth has any control at all; the Cosmos has a way of surprising you!
The lead actor's acting was so painful to watch I had to leave the theater after 1 hour.
Great episode, but it really bugs me that this is classed as a 'special'. This is a straight-up episode of Downton Abbey, only longer. Starting season 3 without watching this first would be entirely wrong, so much would be missed. Special episodes should be stand-alone and shouldn't impact the overall plot/direction of a show going forwards.
Again, fantastic episode, but by no means is this a 'special' episode.
I have to get this off my chest somewhere: Lucas has to be one of the most insufferable characters to ever be on the show. The actor does him no favors with the fucking face he constantly has on and the way he delivers lines like he's dead inside. And when he does have emotional moments, I just feel like punching him in the face. I can't stand Lucas, for real. I care nothing about what's going on with him. Don't even get me started on Simone. They deserve each other, they're so annoying.
i sure love when men need to be reminded that women are human beings by someone pointing out that they have a sister/mother/daughter, because you know, if you don't have a female relative how could you possibly care about a woman being sexually assaulted
Perfect ending even though it's not the perfect show.
Got to love the farscape reference
Everytime I think this show has hit rock bottom it keeps going down.
Like Arturo is still alive? Really? REALLY? Why the hell is Stockholm worried about her baby now? And what is up with that absolutely cringy military squad of edgelords?
I enjoyed this series, lot's of mixed action. Overall, worth a watch :thumbsup_tone1:
Wow, that was not a great use of three hours on a friday evening for me. I did not read the book or had any recollection of the movie from when I saw it a few years ago. Since I heard there's a remake in the making I thought it might be clever to give the so called classic a second chance. I'm sorry but I can't really see why people like this movie. There's way too much political stuff going on (it gets kind of explained for about 10 minutes in the prologue), also way too much explanation through voice over and on the other hand very slow and kind of boring overall pacing. The second half gets a bit faster and the final fights even had a nice soundtrack. It's hard to believe that this was made after Star Wars and the first Alien and is still praised as a cult classic. I guess it might be more enjoyable if you know the book, but I think a movie's enjoyability shouldn't depend on knowing the source material, so there's that. Feel free to enlighten me on what I did not get. I'd love to love this movie, really.
I know this movie have some problems. But i always enjoyed it when i watched the movie. I think the movie is underrated here.
A boring story that wants to be a dark and ambiguous psychological thriller but ends up being a disappointing development of themes and paraphilias such as hybristophilia, the sexual attraction to criminals, which in the end it never delves too much into. There is a good setting in a grayish and rainy Bilbao city, with a bluish hue that transmits a hostile environment for the possible reinsertion of a young man who has killed his parents. But the development is so absurd and implausible and some characters are so blank that the final plot twist isn't worth six drowsy episodes.
For a little while I was dreading a "lost" finale. But I'm happy the way they solved it. Nice to see old faces again. It was a good ending to a good show we've had worse finales (again the serie lost comes to mind)
Xander: Don't even try to deny it......
Xander, baby, she does not owe you any explanations!
