When you fall in love with a show - and then you realize that it has ended. :((
Such a great series, I strongly recommend watching.
Wow. I'm so disappointed with this episode. Whateverthefuck happened to Blackfish? Whateverthefuck happened to the Waif except for standing in the dark all of a sudden? May all the well written out theories surrounding Arya having an ingenious plan rest in peace.
So sad to see this cancelled. We binge watched and loved the show. The ending was a joke.
Kinda liked it. The setting was interesting and overall it reminded me a lot of the Saw movies. The ending was not the greatest I agree, but oh well. Good for a lazy Sunday evening I would say.
It's Shark Horror. So don't expect too much. However, I kinda liked it, it was a nice enough/distracting watch on a chill evening during quarantine.
"Der Wind kann einem Baum mit starken Wurzeln nichts anhaben."
I went into this thinking it was some kind of medical thriller/drama and loved the first ca. 40 mins. I noticed that I was wrong when the movie took a turn for the weird and horror-cliche-y. I regret paying money for this.
Well, to be fair it was well acted, the music was great and I very much liked the comedy aspect in it. It was also nice to see people actually fighting back, for once, and NOT behaving like a dumb bunch of helpless chicken.
Other than that, the plot had many, many holes and the final twist actually ruined the whole story for me. It was also very inconsistent about which "laws" these shadows had to follow - sometimes they were doing the same things as the people on the upside, but other times not... however it fit the plot in that moment, it seems. 'Us' tries very hard to be deep and stuff, but it really is not.
However, while it is not as great as I had wished it to be, it also not the worst horror movie I have ever seen. So, for a horror movie night it's OK to watch but don't expect too much, I guess.
Basically, it was one melodramatic speech after another, giving everyone their 5 mins of over-emotional monologue.
Lagertha has always been one of my fav characters, but killing an unarmed and unaware Aslaug from behind? That was low. Even though I didn't like Aslaug very much, she deserved better than this. Other than that, great episode. The scenes with Ecbert and Ragnar are always the best.
This is... garbage. Couldn't even finish it.
wtf Rob, I liked you!
Absolutely brilliant. I didn't know what's what in the end anymore and wtf really happened to those kids, but it was hilarious.
"Then, there are those who care not about extraterrestrials, searching for meaning in other human beings. Rare or lucky are those who find it. For although we may not be alone in the universe, in our own separate ways, on this planet, we are all... alone."
NO. What the actual fuck!
It could have been a great movie, if not for plot holes in it the size of the Pacific Ocean.
Ok, now after watching the movie this episode makes a lot more sense.
I love it and all its subplots.
So, usually when hate-watching Haunted episodes I take the "based on a true story" comment with a grain of salt. I believe most of these little horror stories can be attributed to medical or mental illnesses, but for the sake of the show they are told utterly exaggerated and over-dramatized. However, this story is different. This is nothing paranormal, this is the kind of man-made bullshit that is going in the shitty world we live in and I feel absolutely sorry for what this poor man had to endure.
Suprisingly great! Normally German movies kinda suck.
This is getting so annoying, probably the worst season of all and we're only 3 episodes in.
So, I guess we lost another dragon in the most unspectacular way possible and nobody cares whatsoever.
So many stupid decisions of stupid characters that seem to have lost all their personality and turned into cardboard cutouts, only to serve their purpose of moving the "story" into the desired direction. Everything feels rushed and too many things happening are nothing but fan service. So disappointing.
So, until the end Debra didn't show any backbone and let her daughters fight her fights for her. When she was asked if the life support systems should be turned off she should have said HELL YES HE TRIED TO KILL MY DAUGHTER FFS. But no, she was not able to "take that responsibility for him", once again leaving it so someone else. Terra? You go, girl.
Absolutely worth a watch if you like a good, suspenseful horror movie, that doesn't rely too much on being gory but rather concentrates on a psychological plot and shows believable characters with believable actions and emotions. The setting is very eerie and spooky - I am pretty sure nothing will ever make me go hiking in Swedish Woodland (or Romanian for that matter) after watching the movie. :D
It was revealed through exposition in dialogue that the creature is a Jötunn, a giant bastard son of Loki. For the most part of the movie I was pretty sure it is a Wendigo that is chasing people in the woods, as a few things fit right into that myth. Still not sure if the movie really had nothing to do with Wendigos or if they somehow combined the myths. I'd like to believe I'm right, though. :D .
What a sweet little story with so much truth behind it. I also really, really liked the visuals in this one, so beautiful.
I must admit, Liam Neeson movies are my guilty pleasure. I know, they all kinda use the same formula and all, but I just love the guy. :D So, I really enjoyed this one as well.
Lol Drunken Scully must be the greatest thing ever. xD
Seriously? A cliffhanger? What the actual fuck. Worst finale ever.
I really liked the movie even though the ending was a bit ... furious, in comparison to the rest of the movie. It started very slowly, almost boringly at times and has a very oppressive and tense feeling to it in general. The story about the woman being captured in a bunker reminded me of that Austrian girl, Kampusch. What a horrifying situation. Then again you don't learn much about the characters and their motives, so I was unsure about who is the bad guy (or girl) the whole time.
Great movie. Every football fan should watch this. David vs Goliath irl.
