Terrible show you want so badly to be good. The writing is so lazy and cheap. Cliffhanger tactics to keep people watching.
Don’t trust the good reviews. 80% of this show is the equivalent of watching paint dry. You. Will. Feel. Every. Minute. That. Passes. Unnecessarily long and boring.
Like a high school philosophy student, The Green Knight is very flamboyant and mumbles when he babbles, hoping you'll mistake his incoherence for intelligence.
The Green Knight follows the recent A24 trend of treading on the thin line between intrigue and obscurity. It stays on track for much of the film, and when it falls, at least there's the safety net of lush cinematography.
This movie stands completely on the performance of the main character. And I think Rebecca Hall was quite convincing. A good horror movie but maybe they could forget about the jump scares next time.
I rewatched the trailer afterward to be sure, and I really found it and the name misleading. The whole house and the mirror house/world concept play's a very little role in the movie, and it left me a bit disappointed. I expected more of this alternative reality stuff.
It was pretty boring. I was expecting much more with this high rating
This was fine, but only fine. Fundamentally I was left wondering “who is this for?”
Watched the first few minutes of the pilot and decided to drop this show. Jared is just not a very good actor, not good enough yo be the lead and only "big" name. I am a Supernatural fan, watched every episode. Even then I really thought Jared's acting has "regressed" starting from the second half of that show. Only saving grace was Jensen's great acting plus they're still both very good looking after 15 seasons.
[Netflix] If you put together all the cliches of the police series about serial killers (beyond Nordic noir) the result is this, a mixture of elements seen a thousand times that does not even have interest in hiding it. There is a gloomy and dark atmosphere, but each episode follows the beaten path of laziness. The problem is that the writers seem to be convinced that they are proposing something different.
Average show with some decent acting, brutal violence, boobs, shitty editing and a horrendously written script.
