This is it folks, this is peak television. What we have here is one of the most gut wrenching and masterfully crafted episodes ever brought to screen. Absolutely fucking phenomenal with career best performances from Murray Bartlett and Nick Oferman. Holy shit this will stick with me.
THEY PROMISED ME ZOMBIES AND ALL I HAVE NOW IS DEPRESSION
What a beautiful episode, I don't remember an episode like this for years, very well done, just perfect.
Which version do you prefer? The Game or the Show? I will have to go with the show, its more happy, kinda.
"i was never afraid before you showed up" yeah you can stop right there, i was already crying :sob: i wasn't ready for all the TEARS TODAY
Walton Goggins has played some interesting characters in the past, but The Ghoul is iconic.
Nooooooo.
That cut from the funeral to Mare cackling at her mom in the car was gold though.
Wasn't a fan of this movie. I'm getting a bit tired of Ryan Reynolds playing the same character in every movie. It worked for Deadpool, but it's growing old watching him act that same way in every movie since. The humour in this movie was mostly a miss for me, though I do admit there were a few moments that drew a chuckle from me. The premise of the movie drew me in, but I don't think it was executed very well. It ended up just being pretty bland and generic, with lots of inconsistencies and things that made no sense. It was as if the people behind the writing had no idea how MMOs work. The cameos from the famous YouTube and Twitch streamers felt a bit cheap too, as if they were just trying to cash in and appeal more to a certain demographic.
Not a horrible movie by any means. But certainly not one that I would recommend either.
The cinematography in this episode was something else, I liked the parallels they drew between Geralt fight with the princess and Yennefer's rebirth
If there was one thing I dislike so far, it would be them dropping names of people or places and expect us to know what they're talking about, since I'm not familiar with the world, I found myself getting confused and pausing the episode many times thus it made me feel like I'm missing the greater plot of the series since I'm not sure who is referring to who LOL
I'm still not completely sold on this show. There are parts I like, parts that are interesting and are taking a while to get anywhere, but then there are parts that just feel super boring, and those parts are really drowning out the rest for me. I think I'll watch another episode or two and I hope things turn around. I do think the stories being split up the way they are is part of my frustration. Perhaps if things start connecting better it might gather my attention more.
Begins intriguingly enough, but as the film goes on, it becomes more than a little clumsy in its execution and exposition. Still, it is an enjoyable film, and despite the missteps taken with the script, there is enough here to keep you watching until the end.
When it ends, I think I can smell blood and gunpowder. It is a kind of quiet movie.
The acting of essentially all new characters felt incredibly forced and not real. Clara in particular just... Didn't feel like she's actually acting lol. The plot "twists" were very predictable and simply annoying. Even the plot setup for s03 sounds like more bullshit.
