This is quite the expensive Overwatch advertisement...
Woha... foodgasm extravaganza this episode and while they can be fun to watch this felt more like a clipshow.
From here on out Corona delays... :disappointed:

Part of Adult Swim's "April Fools Day" stealth premieres. The regular broadcast for S2 starts May 10th.
Didn't like how the show developed in it's first season and this continuation doesn't do it either for me with lazy AI exposition and contrived plot lines. Not going to finish this.
I mean it's SAO but damn this was a messy episode... The girl protecting Synthesis Two was savage but not only was the whole defense setup convoluted but also the power-levels all over the place.
I cannot help but think this episode was made to bait people into start/continue watching if it were perceived positively because this is not the format for it nor should something like this be made this early into a show.
While I liked the first 10 minutes and the duo of Cristin Milioti and Jake Johnson it just quickly turned into "cringe" as there was a major disconnect between what they wanted to tell and how they went about it in a video game context....
A good point to drop this show tho.
Here is hoping the next arc is better but I don't think they can manage to get out of the lazy writing mode they are in. It's not surprising they killed of Nighteye as they already fail to properly balance the existing quirks...
Ugh... I guess it is that kind of a show.
Damn, this was haunting.
Killing the peeing guys cmn man...
This continues as a spin-off after episode 4x01:

Dang, "Two Pink Doors" had some really dark, dark humor.
Why the fuck am I watching a talent show with fictional characters... the upcoming second cour will certainly have to provide a bit more than just decently animated song performances really. The two "comedy" performances were absolute offensive trash tier (the old guys in previous episodes and now the swearing drag queens). By this point Angela has more depth to her than the main duo... And all with Cybelle is just plain awkward.
So apparently this episode is rated #1 on IMDB now... While it's not deserving of that I gotta admit that it was a treat not only as far as payoff goes rip Armin but also from a technical standpoint. I felt like the recent cours were kinda dull so hopefully this is a sign of good things to come...
While I don't think the show is bad so far, it does very little to sell me titular title characters. I know nothing of them except that they must be divine (so we are told) and whip up new songs on a whim... Really hope this changes.
Hard to tell what is self-aware and what's not but I guess I'll take this mess. Why did they kill Cassidy already ...
Ugh... the writing is so lazy .
Yes: this also applies to my comment ;)...
Needless padding on this one and a truely crappy fight with Charity... Add to that overt exposition which provides only little sense to what has happened. Meh. Not sure why I'm still watching after a turd like this. What the original invested in exploring the powers is here filled with just more plot twists.
tfw sex slideshow... seriously tho - this show has eclipsed any form of a trainwreck.
...and they even explained the 20 minute long "joke" at the end.
Man... this was a terrible. Cut way too short with very little logic to follow, obnoxious censoring (even though it's a BD special) and piss poor "animation".
Not a big fan of this season. While the episodes not written by Mark Duplass were generally better, they all fall into the same format trapping of not wanting to tell you >one< specific thing and talking around it despite this being guessable or just... not very interesting and thus just wasting time by doing this.
The storytelling technique in this one was certainly interesting but nothing about what went on felt particularly believable. Be it her contradicting persona, nor how the incident played out. Despite being kinda patronizing it at least reflects on a different viewpoint too.
Wow, this episode was absolute garbage. Not only did it fail at being a fun christmas special, it also trashed future story threads alongside with it. Thankfully Netflix already had the S2 trailer ready for autoplay after this so that I can be certain that Season 2 is not offering anything I'm interested in either.
Somehow these end up being so predictable...
The blinking was supposed to play into the ED and fade out... non-TV versions fucked up.
I feel really bad for Jerry but supposedly he got himself a gf now. Good for him...
Is it bad that I was laughing at the end of this? So much silly stuff crammed into the last 5 minutes IDK...
I only know Mahbod Moghadam from a doc about start-ups and he already struck me as a tryhard hipster there in the wrong field... to think that he'd fall for something like that...
A lot better than the first episode due to actually having some funny scenarios and not just forced cringe.
Given the truly horrible CG animals and the mere 12 episodes this is looking like a skip for me. I'd rather read the manga at some point.
Hopefully one day studios have the chance to stop half-assing things all the time -_-...
