It started a little slow I was going to turn it off and I should have the ending is shit it gets unbearably slow halfway through just don’t watch it
I should’ve listened to the reviews. It was a stupid, pointless, waste of time, nothing explained, some movie maker getting hard on over piece of pretentious piss of shit art movie.
Trust the negative Reviews, this is a shite movie.
You will waste 1.5 hours of your life you will not get back.
Like when you're trying to make an omelet but it's too hard so you say "Fuck it," and make scrambled eggs instead.
The way they pushed everything to the end and then blew the ending...
What the fuck was that ending? Why was he even going out on the boat? So fucking stupid.
[Netflix] Back to the apocalyptic future imagined by Neill Blomkamp that manages to create a terrifying and pessimistic atmosphere. "We were once mankind. Now, we are no more than pests." An immersive visual envelope accompanies a narrative that sometimes stumbles on some clichés of the genre. But he manages to make his 22 minutes disturbing, and at the same time reflect on the future-present humanity.
Of course there is an ignorant child that ruins everything.
One man show. Hanks is doing great but the movie is not so powerful at all. It is another ordinary post-apocalyptic movie with acceptable CGI, less action but a humanistic story. I must say the story is below my expectation. Only friendship of a robot and a dog can not save a whole movie. I would give 5/10 or 6/10 if Hanks was not at the headline but it's now 7 of 10.
Forgettable and flawed but mildly entertaining in the moment.
I can’t begin with to tell you how dumb this movie is. About half way through i decided I had been subjected to enough of the terrible story and turned it off. Don’t waste your time on this.
A fun "whodunit" that offers little to write home about. Though Death on the Nile is quite lively and enjoyable, I'm afraid the story and most of its performances are quite forgettable. Honestly, I have little bad to say about the film, but I also have little to rave about, and I believe many people will feel this same way.
I think I get it! The snails are supposed to represent the snail-like pacing of this awful movie.
they say good movies don't easily get out of fashion but the one liners in this movie man, they didn't age well at all
I love it when Sandler plays these more serious roles. While I love him as a comedic actor I genuinely feel like he excels further when he shows his range and is cast for these more serious roles. Hustle isn't really anything groundbreaking and doesn't particularly break any new ground in what we've all seen in most sport movies. But the cast, the tension, music and everything else just works despite hitting all the usual cliches. Just a solid 'feel good' and motivational film. Highly recommend for Sandler fans, my wife who has zero interest in any kind of sports sat and watched the whole thing and enjoyed this one so please don't think you need to know basketball or enjoy sports to enjoy this. Solid 8/10
This the definition of an average movie. Good enough to not be bored for 90 minutes. Bad enough that afterwards you'll forget everything about it because nothing actually interesting happened.
You know this is Cinema when the movie makes you cry over rocks.
What a great movie! What movies should be like. This needs to be viewed in theaters! Highly recommend.
So here’s what happened: Some guy played GTA V and his stoned friend, who happened to be a producer, said: Come on, let’s make a movie out of it! I dare you! They laughed, called Michael Bay and the rest is history.
Seriously, the movie makes no sense, is absurd and absolutely senseless. Most of the scenes are just a usual day in GTA. I couldn’t stop laughing at the bs story and absurd „story“. Crank was better because it was funny with a purpose. This is just embarrassing and at the same time it’s not even the worst movie I’ve watched this year.
I was OK, but felt like it missed a lot of what actually happened.
I know nothing of the story/events, but it was disjointed and left me with questions like - what happened with the miners? Were they still mining? We never saw one instance of the ore arriving and being loaded onto the ships.. other than the ship at the very beginning, there was just ships in the harbour with only the ferry actually docking ... on one occasion. What happened to the English guys?
The picture/poster had absolutely nothing to do with the movie because everything was on the land.
A beautifully shot and acted, piece of shit. I would rather die in the apocalypse than watch this again.
Critique put me off watching this for a while, dumbest decision I've ever made.
This film was great, plain and simple. It's dark and full of action. The flashbacks are a nice change for introducing the origin story. And I thought they cast Superman perfectly, great actor and is practically the spitting image of Christopher Reeve.
Best adaptation of the Superman story since the originals, loved it.
I don’t know whether it’s because I don’t know Dungeons and Dragons very well or just this movie. But this was so boring. I was bored during the fight scenes.
Fans of the game will find many issues with this movie. This movie was made for people who know about dungeons and dragons only through pop culture shows like strangers things. The producers of the movie openly admitted to emasculating the male characters so that the female characters are uplifted in the movie. I don't understand why you cant let each character reach their potential. How is it the bard did nothing and meanwhile the druid wild shaped 7 times in under a minute? The movie also put a ton of focus on the father daughter relationship between Edgin and Kira. God what a snooze fest. This is something you wouldn't see roleplayed or actually a part of a campaign. The fight at the end was the only redeemable part. It felt true to the speed of a fight in D&D if played out in full speed. Also the staf only had a range of 500 feet but then at end of the movie it conveniently changes to a quarter mile?
Best movie of the year!
Sure, it's beautiful. That's said. But what else ? Not much.
The story itself is a 95% copy of the first one, and can't say it was original either at the time.
There's a whole universe there, but that was what came from the first one. There's basically nothing new here, except what they once did in the forest they now do in the water. It basically brings nothing new. Even the bad guys, that were dead, are the same.
Instead of soldiers we mostly follow the adventures of the kids, which adds a lot of annoying stupidity to what happens.
The only "new" thing the movie brings might be what's happening with Kiri, but it's obviously been kept for future releases and barely scratched here.
Is it at least entertaining ? Meh. It could have been, but EVERYTHING is too long. You could cut 5 to 10 minutes of absolutely every single sequence. All of them, be they exposition, adventure, contemplation or even action scenes. Everything is too long.
Any review you read saying it isn’t that bad is from people who don’t watch enough movies. Every minute is ripped, terribly, from better films. Bobby Rod saw a few too many Nolan movies and thinks he can compete by plagiarizing his work.
Guns, a lot of guns
Indeed, this movie goes nowhere.
I loved the movie. The 3 male leads were great. I didn't like Leah at all. Jack didn't have an anger problem until she ended up creating one with her mild victim shaming and over dramatizations.
Finally a movie that is definitely not pc. If you hate the pc culture as I do, you will enjoy this move. :alien:
