If you're looking for an action and "turn brain off now" film, just don't watch it and spare us the 6-7 hearts review.
I for one, am very tired from 500$m crap like Indi Day and Marvel's poop. So I was very excited to watch this one.
This one is more like Spielberg's Encounters from the Third Kind. It's more about the characters in the film and the amazing journey they go through. It's mostly about the human behavior that will make you think.
While it's not an End of the World aliens movie like Battle: Los Angeles, it still offers great amount of military presence and plenty of stuff that's going on.
So if you actually want to care about an intelligent movie and use your head - go. Otherwise, go watch an X men.
Highly recommended for some audience 10/10.

Watching again at July-2023, excited towards Dune II : Excellent. Excellent film. So called plot-holes listed here are negligible when the overall product is really thoughtful and masterfully crafted.

Why the hell did the queen leave the mothership? She has the largest fcking weapon ever, its almost bigger than earth, and she goes alone! the most important individual runs off to the front line !! Thats the dumbest military move someone has ever made.
(Don't tell me the ship had to drill. they could have done it after they got that tennis ball).
And if you, the Queen, already decided to leave- why the fck do you care about a stupid school bus?!?!?! chasing it for 2 hours!!?? Just go and do what you came to do !! damn that's stupid..

Good for you W. Smith not joining this LoL of a movie (even though it's coz they didn't offer you enough money, and not coz of creative differences).
The movie is very beautiful and high quality - everything looks real and believable, and acting is first class as you can expect from Christian Bale. However it feels very long and the pace is extremely slow that it made me fall asleep and I had to continue watching the next day.
Its a depressing film and overall, though I appreciate it very much, I can't say i enjoyed it and I just wanted it to be over.
I'm giving it 7, though it deserves 8, but I'm actually not recommending it.
Classic milestone 80's sci-fi. I loved the guy with those big glasses and the olive-green wind coat.. what 80's.. And Dean Norris is here (Breaking Bad's Uncle Hank)!!
i cant believe that this machine created a whole new atmosphere for the entire planet in 5 minutes! lol! and those "aliens" never used it before!! so, just for fun it was created? haha..
This movie will be enjoyed best by 13-16 year old boys. Its a children's movie.
Its 100m$ on CGI and 1000$ on script and story. You can guess the whole movie from the first 5 minutes, it has all the worst used up cliche's in the book.
The first movie made much more sense from the actions the characters took. Here, they're all idiots (humans and aliens).
If you choose to watch it, expect only normal level of GFX and nothing else. If you're looking for gripping storytale - move along sir, nothing to see here.

Thankfully we have Mads Mikkelsen who aces every project he's in, and non-hollywood studios to save us from endless American sh*t spewing films.
I walked into this just based on the actors, didn't know anything before, and found a Beautifully done film with a rich story about a long struggle with lots of hardships, high stakes and emotions.
Bravo.
Highly recommended.

This movie is a prequel to The Handmaid's Tale.

It's not a "good" movie but it's very nice and quite easy for an action movie. Also, not very much action here, so lite on that too.
Good for easy Neeson fans. Don't expect much of it and won't be disappointed.

America has lost itself to over self rightouness. A generation of weak woke hand lotion users who don't know nothing about the world outside of a TikTok feed. Oh America, how doomed you are.
While this movie has great production value, good talent and the plot synopsis promisee great potential, the movie is overall underwhelming and did not make an impact on me. I'm a huge fan on war films genre, but this one is quite forgettable unfortunately.

Simply a must for everyone who loves Ricky, Louis CK and that bunch. Not much of a laughing out loud comedy but great ideas here. Great pic.
I've given up on American comedies a long time ago because of those sheer stupidity. But this one I did watch and I'm very glad I did! I actually enjoyed it and had a good time! Great actors both, did a nice job and made the flick nice and fun.
I recommend, even if you don't believe in comedies anymore.

Great acting work from everyone, doesn't fall into cliches, story is thrilling and gripping. Shows true brotherhood connection between warriors who went through hell together.
And OMG the score!! So good! really emphasizes and enlarge all the special moments in the film! Beautiful cinematography.
I'm a big fan of war films and a big critic of them.
This is Very highly recommended.

The movie peaks at mid at 7/10 max but at the third act and finale it crushed and burned to a lazy, cliche lame ending, finishing at 4/10.
I'd recommend NOT watching it.
