Just back from a secret screening of this and it had no business being so good.
Better and more fun than most of the recent Marvel movies!
Having been around for the 1st top gun I was afraid about this one. But it did not disappoint I heard people say it's better than the original... Well it definitely is!! The casting of Rooster is amazing. Also seeing Val Kilmer again brought a tear to my eye. What a movie and the music of Hans Zimmer is epic as always!!
What a great movie! What movies should be like. This needs to be viewed in theaters! Highly recommend.
This one was really bad. From the action, to the plot, it falls into pieces. Liam Nesson is no longer in shape to do this kind of movies. The few scenes that had him running or even jogging inside a building, were really sad. Not plot twists, bad humour, they didn't even took advantage of his OCD (which could have influenced a lot in the action scenes, for example). Also, it felt too long for the kind of story they tried to build. The actions scenes were short and rusty; in a more "Taken" ambience, it could MAYBE have worked, but i'm guessing that again, Neeson's age come to play in here too. You are not missing anything if you don't watch it
THAT WAS SO CUTE!! I'm like shooketh that Hollywood actually remembers how to do Romance. It's been five million years.
Super cute movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it even if it was predictable. Jennifer is a great actress and singer, so this movie showcased both which was fun. It also showed an idea of the illusioned world famous people live in. Good rom com to sit and enjoy.
Looking forward to this one! As always, shame on the people who already rated the movie before coming out.
Everything I could have hoped for. Seems like a passing of the torch, hopefully they continue and start down their own path. Great movie and made my eyes water
This is a really special movie. It honours the originals and serves as a direct sequel, expanding the lore of their universe and creating new characters that are fun to follow. It feels like an old-style adventure movie of the likes of "The Goonies", "The Sandlot" or "E.T."
I soooo love it how the trailer completely ignores that the all-female Ghostbusters movie ever existed. Like it never happened, like it was only a bad dream.
EDIT:
Just watched it. I can't say the movie was spectacular, but it was darn spectacular to me.
I believe the movie paid all due respects to the Ghostbusters and that it was carefully made not to disappoint. It worked!
And yes, I'm high on nostalgia while typing it.
P.S. Anyone else got emotional when Ecto-1 first sounded the sirens?
It’s what you would expect from a video game movie. It throws a few iconic scenes at you, but overall misses the mark. Wait until you can stream it for free and don’t expect much.
I enjoyed this tremendously! I do t think I heard the ‘n’ word a single time in the whole movie. Maybe in a soundtrack, but not from the actors. Well done!
Better than what I thought. Different take on western movies. Must watch!!?
Free guy is every gamers / nerds wet dream! The jokes, the scenes it's so familiar and the acting is amazing. Also a few bonuses but I won't spoiler them for you. Go see it, you won't be disappointed!!
this is by far one of the best marvel films I’ve seen in a hot second (I’m lookin at you black widow). the martial arts choreography is just :asterisk_symbol:chefs kiss:asterisk_symbol: especially when it comes to the air-bending choreo. just gorgeous. awkwafina gave a much better performance than I expected, which is always a nice feeling, especially in conjunction with simu liu. I also thoroughly appreciated the opposing forces between fala chen and tony leung as the parents and how dynamic leung’s villain became.
overall a super, super solid film by marvel (that I would not mind being separate from the mcu :D)
One of the best solo MCU movies in a while. I went into this not knowing the story at all. I was highly entertained and not lost at all. Definitely worth the $12 at the theater!
Okay, what the f? How did they pull this brilliant piece of cinema off? I am your standard hater of Disney live-action and I am pleasantly surprised they made me enjoy a Cruella origin film. Wtf. I want that little dog Wink. What a boss.
Great take on a classic character, unexpectedly good and with the best song soundtrack in a while
10 minutes in the movie and I was supporting a character I hated my entire life.
Emma Stone and Emma Thompson absolutely delivered in their performances, the storyline is better than I ever imagined it would've been!!! 10's across the board and the Wardrobe was to die for.
Fun watch, in the ridiculously over-the-top kind of way. Definitely worth the watch.
This is the first film I have seen in the cinema since January 2020 and I have to say I wasn't disappointed as I went in with zero expectations and walked out a very entertained person, it might be because I haven't been cinema in ages but I did enjoy this one more than the first film and I think this is down to the addition of Salma Hayek (Sonia Kincaid) who basically takes this film to another comedic level as the cast, in general, have great chemistry.
Now, this isn't anything special of a film but if you enjoyed the first one I think you will enjoy this one as it is funnier but the story is a little more meh than the first one, the one thing that did disappoint me is that this film did not have enough Frank Grillo who I want to see him in bigger better movies.
The Good, The Bad, and The Crazy - The Fantastic Sequel To The Original Hitman's Bodyguard - Roller-coaster Action, Nonstop Comedy, The Perfect Movie For Laugh & Unexpected Fun - Ryan Reynolds, Salma Hayek, And Samuel L. If You Haven't Seen It - Watch It
[IFFR] The opening of Rotterdam FF is a fascinating film, built on a solid script with brilliantly developed characters. Between the dark comedy and the thriller, it has characteristics of other ATJ titles, but in some moments, in the game of coincidences and the weird tone, it is reminiscent of the Coen brothers. Addressing topics such as grief and the consequences of our actions, this film is full of surprises.
The crazy quartet (Anders Thomas Jensen, Mads Mikkelsen, Nikolaj Lie Kaas, Nicolas Bro) delivers once again.
very fun over the top brutal action movie basically a dark comedy version of John wick
story is pretty generic pacing can feel a little weird at times
but the action comedy and performances of the main cast make it worth watching
Bob Odenkirk gets his John Wick moment (albeit lesser stakes) and it's pretty frigging awesome. The most fun film I've seen in a while. Also the best movie that Christopher Lloyd's been in in ages
Thankfully not another tired Taken clone. This one tries to be a bit more dramatic whilst having a few action sequences to bolster it.
It's a bit of a Rambo V in quality - ie. cheap and sombre. It does benefit from the relationship with the boy though.
It was okay. Predictable yet not boring. There has been worse put out by Neeson these last few years but you wouldn't watch this a second time.
