best episode so far, got me hooked up to finish the whole series.
This Alice angle is so US television. It's distracting. Now Luther even searches her help. I guess she will never be convicted for killing her parents - maybe the big twist will be she didn't do it in the first place ? Because other than that I really like the show. Would have been nice to have a straight forward crime show without any additional baggage.
I've heard so much about this show for years and finally trying it.
Clearly, all other characters pale in comparison to Luther and Alice. Is it due to the characters or to Elba and Wilson being too good ? We'll see.
I have already have enough of the futur ex-wife and the useless drama. Was hoping she'd get killed in the middle of this episode.
Alice would have been an interesting character for an episode, but it looks like that will be the story for the whole season ? Not sure that holds on.
Wait and see.
But, given it's a murder investigation, nobody noticed the gun parts in the dog's ashes ?? Really ?
Not alltogether bad but watching it almost 10 years after it aired you instantly get the feeling this is one of this (now) overused story arcs of a cat and mouse game between a cop and a genius killer who will always get away in an unexpected twist until the final episode where she makes a stupid mistake.
The whole setup is very generic, the characters are clichèd (cop with marriage issues, child prodigy killing her parents) , and I am already tired of the sexual angle. Plus there is an awful logic issue: why did no one in the crematorium find the gun parts ? If you want to be recognized as an intelligent drama don't make such mistakes.
I was enjoying the episode until I realised Angela could have just shot the cannon with the gun she was holding in her hand and going all pew pew everywhere except at the friggin' cannon...
I feel like you gotta have a certain intellect to get this show, and I don’t have it! But this episode helped me get more context and perspective of this universe, so now I’m gonna go to wiki fan and sear who are those four vigilantes (owl, silk woman, blue man and the other one)
In the graphic novel, Laurie goes by Laurie Jupiter, after her mother, Sally Jupiter. During the course of the graphic novel, she finds out that her father is Edward Blake, a.k.a. The Comedian. The Comedian, it turns out, tried to rape Sally, and then later Sally fell in love with him, and they had Laurie together. Laurie struggles with this revelation. The fact that she has now taken on her father’s last name is strange and left unexplained.
I still don’t understand what’s going on! But it’s a quality show and so far has presented an interesting and necessary racial discourse.
I have to say I really didn't like the 1 dimensional character of Ward when this started but now he's definetly one of the more interesting ones. The things he feels he needs to do to keep certain secrets and his slow declining sanity is very well acted.
Wow when Morgan started feeling the disruption... woof that was some baaad acting. She totally doesn't make me feel she's Morgan le Fay. The magic maybe but the acting and actress not so much. I'm not saying she's totally a bad actress, I'm just not convinced in the version she chose to act.
For about a minute there... Karolina did sth this season. I barely said "wow" and it ended.
I wasn't the biggest of fans of both shows but they were entertaining enough to keep watching. And seeing them crossover like this was really cool and makes me wish neither of them was cancelled.
Original comics readers have been waiting for an Alex betrayal. Interesting way to do it!
Season 3 still seems to be finding itself. Hopefully it evens out soon.
Stacey Yorke came off as a goofy character but dang, the actress can portray a terrifying villain. Seeing stonecold possessed Stacey was something else.
Tina Minoru's personality as a result of the possession makes her really damn hot. As old as the actress is, she can pull off a girl in her 20's easily.
Molly, you idiot!! Should have just kept running.
The heat is on! This show keeps getting better and better. I'm now also reading the comics on Marvel Unlimited.
WHERE'S THE MASK?
How can you not recognize her if she doesn't wear a mask?
I don't usually rate episodes but THIS ONE!! WOW!! The end is amazing. I was already feeling somethkng woumd go wrong but this is beyond my thoughts!
Four thumbs up for this :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::heart_eyes:
As happy as the season 2 finale is, I think the season 5 finale is my favourite one. It perfectly encapsulates what 24 is as a whole.
A fantastic season!!
(Also, I'm glad that Palmer finally found out it was Mandy who poisoned him!)
Logan's utter incompetence makes me miss Palmer even more.
Poor Chloe! Though it was fun to see her in the field for once.
And thus begins one of my favourite Jack Bauer schemes...
Jack Bauer truly belongs in the field. Him working for Heller doesn't seem like the best fit.
My mind blew and I FLIPPED when Styx's Mr. Roboto started playing.
Whiterose losing her shit has got to be one of the highlights of this series!
If not, I'm pretty sure it was at least for Phillip Price.
Give. Me. More. Dom.
Not to downplay all the emotional stuff we had to deal with after the previous episode but like, that few minutes of Dom slaying the dark army guys and Janice while being within an inch from death was impressive. Maybe not 100% realistic yet totally satisfying.
I initially thought this was a bad joke and the whole Vera was a complete sidetrack but this was necessary.
And who even saw that coming? I'm speechless.
This is the first plot-twist ever that I actually couldn't predict and did get shocked with. I never envisioned that the endpoint of all this would be such a touching subject. The actors played incredibly, this episode is surely a treasure of entertainment culture. I wonder how Elliot will from now on act, think, be, now that his "friend" was actually his biggest enemy. I'm just...Wow.
