I was kinda thinking Douglas Adams one some pretty weird drugs channeling The Matrix plus Sense8 across the Multiverse, but sure. ;-)

This is Cinema. I guess this is what older people were feeling when movies like Star Wars the original trilogy or LOTR were airing. This movie is going to be generational defining and I am glad that I am a fully grown adult with opinions and taste to really see how good this movie is

Heh. Maybe. Except perhaps that many of those same older people have also read the original 1965 Dune novel and are coming to this film with expectations.

Say what you will about this movie but ain’t no way you don’t want to see more of nana and her badassery.

Honestly, I just wanna hear her old stories she's not been telling all these years.
Anyone else feel the movie suffered from a bit of "unfulfilled potential" in not really closing the full circle of its plot?

OTOH... it does kinda work if one thinks of it purely as a (partial?) prequel to 1984.

Yea, ensemble cast look's good, but when will they announce/let slip Hugo Weaving's return as The Red Skull? We all know he's not dead, he was wisked away in very similar style to the Bifrost at the end of capt 'murica. Is he with Thanos? If so, will Thanos bring him to earth and totally f***-up Rogers day?

Original actor or not, you realize that a Red Skull appearance could just as well have been a flashback, right? Be careful presuming what any simple cast-listing means. ;-)
Great movie, lacked a bit of common sense here and there but it took it's time for setting up every story aspect nicely. This made it a bit predictable but it didn't bother me for a change.
Also: I deducted 1 point for the story being a too obvious Hunger Games concept copy.loading replies

Realizing that the concept of oppressive government/cultural constructs in far dystopian futures is much, much older than Hunger Games (which itself could be said to have copied it)... ;-)
