i dont understand Salvatore Esposito's acting choices for Gaetano Fadda - it's truly terrible
simple premise, single location...one of the better/best episodes of this entire series, imo
voice actor Jay Johnston will no longer voice Jimmy Pesto (total of 43 episodes from 2011 to 2021) - per reports, he has been publicly/formally “banned” from his recurring voice role
he last appeared in the Season 11 episode “The Bridge Over Troubled Rudy,” which aired in May 2021, and has not appeared in an episode since.
i hope they do better with season 2 because this was very weak
Hanna-Barbera fever dream? yes, please. i enjoyed season one immensely!
tears and shock abound in this season finale
only good thing to come out of this movie was the iconic church scene - everything else is boring or inept
i. hate. Tony.
that is all
Maggie Q was the best part (of course). she tried her best, but the movie was just not good - directing, cinematography, editing and script were all subpar.
plot/story is in the same vein as The Wicker Man or Midsommar
stumbled across this show because the network was pushing season 2 so hard with repeated commercials. usually, that would turn me off from watching, but it looked hilarious, so i gave season 1 a try while waiting for Middle Ages to begin. i really enjoyed this show, far more than i expected. it's extremely underrated as an easy 22 minute per episode binge-worthy comedy with a great/interesting cast.
when it's good it's good, but when it's bad it's awful - it's decent enough for me to continue to watch it when it airs new episodes, but not enough to speak highly of it or recommend it to friends - i hope it gets a third season with better direction
another investigation, this time with a journalist - this is barely a Hellraiser movie
another police procedural reworked for the franchise, done more poorly than Inferno and with even less cenobite screen time. they wasted the return of Kirsty; it would have been better to leave her out completely of this mess.
i dislike all 3 attempts from Rick Bota - Hellseeker, Deader and Hellworld
half-baked storytelling - stuff happened, then exposition infodump by the family, ending in a cliffhanger
feels ALOT like Rick & Morty or something you'd find on Adult Swim...
i usually really enjoy quirky, cheesy and/or satirical content, so i was excited for this premiere, but i ended up hating this episode and having a hard time finishing it.
entire story is told by exposition - acting is terrible too
not a great movie, but i love John Candy
i always tend to pair it with Chevy Chase's Fletch as a double feature
really enjoyed season 1 whodunit, but they stretched it 2 additional seasons that really didnt go anywhere and were pretty boring, imo. by season 3 i could barely finish it.
Willam, on podcast months ago, said this season was rushed (because of RuPaul's schedule) and this episode encapsulated that exactly
watching this show makes me feel miserable.
it wants to be artsy; this episode has a random musical act, it feels like a pretentious drama; dealing with philosophy/childhood trauma/mental health/etc, it's listed as a comedy; idk why nothing is funny - it doesnt know what it wants to be, so it's everything and nothing is landing for me.
my opinion, so far, meh.
i hate musicals, but the cast was stacked, so i gave it a try and i love it!
another season of sleeping on Jan - she's too good for this competition
if you came for a story, skip it. if you want well-crafted mind-numbing action, you'll enjoy it.
this was a very weak attempt at a BG spinoff
ive watched 18 episodes, so far, and this show is still meh. it's basically background noise when i turn it on, because it never holds my attention or gets me to laugh. the last couple of FOX animated shows have felt this way and it's really disappointing.
Art Simone coming back for no reason and Anita Wigl'it being eliminated at the end officially pissed me off
