Confirmed, the protagonist is a complete idiot. How are we supposed to root for the guy who, while at a mental hospital, starts telling a story about having superpowers to the doctor who just started to believe he was not insane?
Pilots are never the best episodes of the show but I was hoping maybe they'll manage to explain why the hell the protagonist is a homeless hipster and a complete idiot thinking he can waltz into a corporate office looking like that and proclaim to be the heir of the corporate empire. Danny is well on his way to becoming my least favorite character in the MCU.
Right, so this suffers from essentially the same stuff as Jessica Jones S1, but is even worse. Almost every character is more interesting than the protagonist, and especially the villains (I mean Cottonmouth, Mariah and Shades). While Diamondback...well he's just a ridiculous and stupid character, every scene with him was barely sufferable. And of course the Season is way too stretched out, there's watchable material for maybe 8 episodes.
I mean, I get that Skye is having difficulties understanding and controlling her power, but I got really tired of that teary-eyed look every damn time, even as she pushed back/stabbed a piece of shit "agent" who shot her with a real bullet.
This should have been 6-7 episodes at most. Up until episode 9 I still thought the show was ok but very dragged out, and then there were completely stupid episodes 10 and 11, so I watched 12-13 just to see how will they butcher the story further. Also, even with those multiple traumatic events in her past, I somehow found Jessica to be an extremely boring main character. Kilgrave is the only truly interesting thing on the show. Btw, who lives in an apartment with a glass door?
This documentary claims to show both sides of the trial, yet it is extremely onesided, favoring Amber, and missing some crucial information from the trial, as if in this 1 year people who have watched it somehow forgot what went on. I understand the show wanted to emphasize social media's impact and extreme reactions, but they did it in such a poor manner, barely showing any of actual trial material, playing countless TikTok videos and depicting those in favor of Johnny as a cult and/or mindless haters (some of them were, but certainly not all). It is barely a documentary, more like a selection of the creator's favorite excerpts and memes.
Oh how the tables have turned in this episode with Mulder being the sceptic for once. See how frustrating that is, Scully?
It's weird how this series is better now compared to its last couple of seasons, due to the fact the main/second main character is absent. I don't miss Liz at all, she was such a nuisance.
What a great episode! If you'll excuse me, I'm gonna let Jessica handle this conversation. I have to go kill myself.
Well there it is, Red finally said it. Right before Reddington's famous last words of this episode, I just thought to myself "I don't even know anymore about the whole conspiracy and spy stuff and if it's of any interest to me by now, but gosh I want Liz in jail". Aram and Harold were the best this episode and I really wish Liz doesn't take Ressler down with her.
In Hagrid's voice: You're a dumbass, Liz
I expected so much from this, what with such a cast and such a good story to tell! It gave a feeling of The Big Short at first (like others mentioned) but this movie is so much worse. The story is all over the place and even though I know all the background they tried to tell, it felt confusing and boring at times. Was there even a linear story in all this? Or just sketches somewhat connected to Mossack Fonseca? What was the message - "these guys were bad but USA is worse"? I'm not even sure they conveyed that these guys are bad, was it a joke that "it wasn't our idea that our clients did this and that", just a blank statement, or exoneration? I am really disappointed, I was so excited seeing that Mossack Fonseca sued Netflix over this - thought it's gonna be THAT good. It isn't.
F*ck you, Liz.
In just 10 minutes it captures the feeling of the game so well. Great film, great game.
'Honor'? More like horror! You know that gif of Trump saying "All talk, no action, sounds good, doesn't work, never going to happen"? Yeah that's basically the story of this episode. BOOORING
You gotta be kiddin' me. Can the showrunners dumb down the characters more or is this the lowest point? Everyone seems like an idiot. You should know defying the plan is not a good idea when Morgan "Mentally Unstable" Jones agrees to go for it. That's where you just say "woah that must be some crazy sh*t, I ain't doing that". But hey, let's ruin Daryl's character further, he wasn't supposed to be in this show in the first place, so no one's gonna miss the old him right? RIGHT?! And Eugene's roller coaster of allegiances is just not worth half the episode. He's a selfish prick, everybody knows that and everybody wants him dead. A horrible episode.
Either it's part of the plan that everyone's doing the stupid shit they're doing in this episode, or these people are so dumbass I already wish they'd be dead by the end of the season.
I really hope the creators of the show just want us to think those people are doing random shit, to surprise us in the end that it was all part of the Rick's plan. I really hope so. 'Cause if they're just dumb and they still end up winning... Idk, then I'm team Negan, I guess.
For one sweet minute I thought she was dead-dead...
Great cinematography, great soundtrack, amazing acting. Sadly, the idea behind the movie is so simplified and dumbed down, that the movie feels overextended. It could have easily fit into 90 minutes without losing any of its spirit.
Well that's 40 minutes thrown away. Literally nothing happens. Except we see that Dwight also has feelings and that Daryl is still himself. But that's nothing new.
Also they should find a reason to cut Daryl's hair. His face is constantly so covered that it doesn't matter if it's Norman Reedus acting anymore.
Brutality for the sake of brutality. Two likable characters are killed, all those lines about "not dining together happily", brilliantly played grief and self-blame by Lauren Cohan, headless bodies lying around - all of this is enough to make viewers shocked and sad. Nevertheless, the episode is full of unnecessary shots like Glenn's face after being hit by Lucille, or Lucille itself getting more screen time than half of the characters, making you wonder "why am I even watching this?". Also, thanks for further ruining Daryl's character - since last season he's been an unpredictable hothead, and it seems he will continue to be so. Good thing he got locked up!
Total disappointment, 6/10 just for performances of Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
It would have been a decent movie. But the ending was too frustrating to watch, starting with the scene where Jimmy's wife praises him. The movie should have ended with drunk Jimmy walking down the street, leaving it unknown if he goes to jail or not, also leaving Sean clean. The ending, showing Jimmy and his wife being careless about Dave, and moreover Sean showing that Dave's murder was "no biggy bro" seems like the movie wants to send a wrong message that I don't wanna say out loud since it's disgusting. They could have left it untold about everyone's lives. Instead they chose to show ignorance towards the death of the most tragic character in movie.
I actually cried watching Sarah Paulson's performance. This show is only getting better.
This series is freakin' amazing. The "A category" actors and their acting...fascinating. (Also, am I the only one who giggled at the part where R. Kardashian talked to his kids about fame? Knowing where the real Kardashian's kids are now hahaha)
The characters in the movie are as dumb as Patrick (from Spongebob Squarepants). The only reaction I got to everything bad that happens was like "what the hell did you expect?". Most of all I hated this Victoria for being the stupidest and the most naive girl on earth. I can't even speak about actor's performance or the execution of movie being one-shot because the script and characters made me hate this. No. Just no.
