I dont understand all the hate. All i know for sure is I watched it and i was intrigued all the way through, even if I was playing games at the same time. I did not come into this expecting anything special, its a gdamn zombie movie -- I only hoped to not be bored, and that's exactly what I got.
I kinda love Batista :) Also JUICE!!!!!! <3
Man. Mind. Blown. This was one epic movie. SHAFT took this in a completely different direction than I originally anticipated. This sequel to the series (technically the movies if you listen to the creators) really delves into our favorite magical characters but the real star of this is Homura without a doubt. I truly realized (after reading explanations online of course) the extent of her pain, suffering and love that she went through in order to "save" Madoka. She truly develops and transforms as a character throughout this movie into someone even I didn't anticipate at all.
The animation, style and action are spectacular as always with this being a SHAFT production. While I thought that the first 30 minutes of the movie were a bit slow, shit immediately got crazy after that. And that ending... You'll have to see it for yourself. There were definitely some pretty confusing parts of this movie but after taking it all in (and some outside guidance), everything really does fit together and creates a fitting sequel to the series. I liken this as the End of Evangelion for the Madoka series. Now, I'm craving for some more magical girls goodness.
It wasn't so much of a horror but it was interesting and with a heartfull ending.
It's no masterpiece but it's not bad either.
It's more interesting than it is scary (I personally don't mind that though).
I'm glad they didn't put in a bunch of cheap jumpscares everywhere like a lot of movies do.
The characters are a bit flat and I honestly didn't really care much about them and not once was I actually worried about any of them. That's not a good sign.
It has a pretty interesting concept but there was just something missing. I'd say the main problem is that I just didn't care much about the characters, which is a big problem because if a character dies, no matter how awful the death scene might be, I simply won't care anyway.
This movie was kind of meh...which is sad because it had potential. Too bad.
I will say though that the kid is a good actor. Props for that.
This movie lived up the expectations. A truly unique concept which kept me hooked until the very end. Jacob Tremblay is a great little actor.
Onde estão as pessoas que sumiram?
Where are the missing people?
Finally, the great Home Alone sequel we deserve.
One big killing spree in a home invasion thriller. I normally don't go for these type of movies. I find them too bloody and too predictable but this was amazing. Erin is one fucking badass woman. Must watch for thriller fans. O and that song (you'll know which one) will stick with you for at least a day.
A pretty entertaining slasher. Some goods kills and a badass chick. I liked the ending.
Wow ! Incredible à very nice movie not à simple Horror/slasher.
A good surprise ! Love this movie
Awesome movie, Do you have a similar film suggestion?
Don't be fooled by the slow start, it become awesome if you have some patient. and the way the story told, the girl point of view, is really unique in the genre. nice!
Beginning was a bit of a bore tbh but good lord was the build up worth it, if u stick around past the first 20mins which you definitely should you will not be disappointed as it really pays off its honestly a must watch if you dont mind the build up.
I was surprised by how much I liked this. I went in blind and I think that's the best way. I liked how the story slowly unfolds and ends well.
This was surprisingly good. It needs more advertising or word of mouth. I thought the Chloe actress did a great job for a little kid. She was also the daughter on the TV show Shooter.
Another fun movie in a sea of blech. I really enjoyed this. It has a fun pace. It keeps the secrets secret until the right time while still keeping you guessing. The storyline itself isn’t particularly new, but the approach is. And for that, I appreciate it. It could definitely be the beginning of something wonderful. Thanks, again, Canada. I salute you.
Paper-thin plot at the service of mediocre action with too much shaky cam.
I thought the first hour or so was actually not that bad. Maybe even up the point where she goes on her revenge trip. Quite okay thriller and mainly good performances; reminded me of Leon the Professional in some parts.
The last 20 min though that was... just horrible. Bad writing and even worse directing. Basically ruined the movie for me.
That was worth watching but not perfect. 7/10.
Liked the acting tho.
Great movie with a unclear ending!
With all of the hype this movie gets I was really very disappointed. The share were super predictable and cliche, the concept they were working with, astral bodies, wasn't super original but had some potential to it that felt squandered with the lackluster route they took.
In my opinion, this movie is best enjoyed without reading a synopsis and with no expectations going in.
I gave this movie 6 not because it's bad but because the censor institute in my country cut all the important part and I understood nothing other than this movie is beautiful and men are trash
I feel that I have lost years off of my life from watching this film.
As creepy, bizarre, confusing, and unsettling as this movie was, it was really well done. I don't think I'll be watching it again though...
Poor acting. Unbelievable characters. Boring, predictable plot. Outstandingly horrible sound, with voices absurdly low and music so unnecessarily loud the audio even distorts. Speaking of the loud audio, this movie has a tendency of increasing the volume of the BGM to mask the fact that little to nothing is actually happening on screen (which causes said distortions). Everything in this movie that isn't outright bad, is merely "okay" at best. It baffles me that so many people give such high praise to this movie.
It was special to me having a choice of how the story would end. But it was a bit annoying that I often had to go back to choose something different to end the movie. That could be better. It is alright to have several choices but it must keep you on track to have a meaningfull ending. There may be several endings but now it did not feel as a smooth movie because I had to do some scenes again so many times.
It may be the future, so people could watch a movie several times and get another ending.
