I really like "this" version of Ventriloquist! I know some people might not love how this show rewrote the origin of Mr. Freeze especially. And others. But, this is a cool storyline of Ventriloquist.
This is NOT Cosmic Horror.
This movie uses Lovecraft elements, in ways antithetical to Cosmic Horror.
The only mystery here is that so few could miss the obvious point of Cronenberg's "Crimes of the Future".
Maybe not his best film, but really very very good.
Really very creepy and uncomfortable. This movies is really good. Including the ending.
Very good. This movie is not near as bad as many make it out to be. It all depends of taste and what you want out of a Batman movie. Some people can see merit in Batman Forever as much as the Time Burton movies and the Christopher Nolan movies. In some ways I like this one more.
I read that a woman fainted during an experiment at Liverpool University that used a scene from this movie, the torture scene at the end . I cannot see how a person would faint! Maybe I've watched too many gory horror movies? But....
This is very tame compared to Lucio Fulci's movies "The Beyond" or "A Cat In The Brain" and David Cronenberg's "The Fly" or "Videodrome" or "The Brood". It really must be very tame compared to a lot of movies.
I watched it because I read that a woman fainted during an experiment at Liverpool University that used a scene from this movie. This is all I want to say. It was worth watching. She seemed very genuinely happy and really cute sawing feets off .
This is really very good. A body horror classic. Not bad at all.
Phenomenal! This is body horror at its absolutely best. Do not believe the rating this movie has here on Trakt.
So few horror movies really horrify. Possessor really horrifies.
One of Cronenberg's best movies. Very creepy and strange ideas about the body.
This is a remarkably disturbing and weird movie. Literally nobody knows and does Body Horror like David Cronenberg. It is really very good.
Could they shake the camera any harder than they do in this movie? There is a lot of cool body horror in this movie that I am sure I would love to have seen, if they did not shake the camera so much. I mean some shaky camera work is fine but wow, it is almost impossible to get a good look. And I really like to get a good look.
Most certainly the best Alien movie that exists.
Creepy in parts. And really good creeps. But, pretty plain and obvious. The ending is terrible. The ending is just too easy -- good overcomes evil in a snap. Everybody survives.
This movie has one of the most disturbing body horror moments in many many movies. Not to say this IS a body horror movie. Yet still, very disturbing.
Was probably a bit too long.
Really very good. I was surprised. The only flaw is that I prefer an unhappy ending.
A remarkably strange movie, even as far as the body horror genre goes. But really very good.
Not much gore in this one from Lucio Fulci. Not compared to his other movies, "The Beyond" & "House by the Cemetery" & "City of the Living Dead" and it certainly does not qualify as torture porn. At least not to me. That isn't to say it does not have it moments of graphic violence and gore, it's Lucio Fulci after all.
While this movie is no "Don't Torture a Duckling" it is worth a watch. It is pretty strange and the ending is quite poignant.
If you want a Lucio Fulci movie to begin with I would recommend "The Beyond" or "House by the Cemetery."
The best horror movie ever made as far as I'm concerned. And for me, I would even say it the best movie ever made.
On of the best movies ever made.
Samara is my hero.
Probably one of the best movies ever made. In my top three or four. Such good horror.
Very good. Strange and creepy.
Really very astonishingly good horror. More subtle than the American version. I like both pretty equally.
