I can't watch Robert Pattinson as Batman. I'll just watch the Dark Knight again and again.
Quite entertaining despite all the bad reviews. Critics are just tired of Jack Sparrow I think. They are not tired of Fast and Furious movies though ?
The movie is fun and better than the 4th one. Kaya Scodelario makes a good addition as Carina Smyth. Who gets either confused as a witch or...a whore because she's a horologist lol. There's plenty of humor like that throughout that makes this one of the better Pirates movies.
While Javier Bardem once again makes a great villain as Captain Salazar. Who from the trailers you probably figured out, is a spirit wants vengeance on Jack Sparrow.
Otherwise stuff, like the search for Poseidon's Trident is as silly as the search for the fountain of youth in the last film. Also don't expect too much Orlando Bloom but it's nice to see him back nevertheless.
If this is the last one I wouldn't complain since it's a fitting ending.
Worst Batman movie ever. Those costumes were a joke(And so we're the actors). At least the Batmobile was cool.
Lost all interest when Catwoman made a woke comment about white privilege. Wasn't good before that and turned it off after that comment. Don't waste your time, worst Batman movie to date...
3 Thoughts After Watching ‘Halloween Ends’:
You’re tasked with creating a franchise-ending chapter of a legendary horror series with the iconic star/character that started it all, and this is what you put together? A “final” Halloween film that’s barely about Michael Myers. GTFO. Missed opportunities GALORE.
The relationship with Laurie and her granddaughter starts out healthy and promising. A nice setup for chaos to ensue. Two seconds later, Allyson is ready to ditch her family for a random dude. So many out-of-character moments that made zero sense.
This wasn’t the film to introduce (and focus on!) a character like Corey. Maybe mid-franchise this could have been done to mix things up a bit. Friday the 13th kinda sorta did that, where the killer wasn’t always Jason. But NOT this time, not when you’re touting a final face-off between Michael and his Final Girl. You’re setting your fans up for disappointment.
Bonus Thought: I’m officially pretending that this new trilogy never existed, back to when Laurie Strode was Michael’s sister and everything made sense.
Ok, so here is why this is one of the best James Bond films ever made. It does a spy story in a pretty close to realistic way. Now, I'm not saying I don't like some of the more over the top things in other films that much. I just love that this feels like it could have happened around a pretty enjoyable agent. However, it is still pretty damn fun to watch unlike some "real" spy films I've seen. I think Connery is really high into his role at this point, and stays that way for a few more before he gets bored.
All the other actors are great in this too, especially the bad guy who goes on to fight a great white shark in a Spielberg film. And a lot of people underestimate the quality of cinematography. I love the entire train scene. It is so long but flies past me it is so good. Anyway, make sure you watch this one if you're interested in Bond a little bit.
Amazing film with adult themes and humour throughout. loved watching it and can't wait for release to watch it again
Everyone is breaking their back to say how much better this version of Batman is. I think it is just "okay." Certainly gritty and dirty, but not all that "super hero-ey."
I think I'll just watch the Gotham TV series if you don't mind.
I don't know how anyone could not enjoy this movie. Streisand is delightful as Dolly Levi. All the other characters were so well done and the movie and all of Dolly's manipulations are fun to see unfold. And the music is so great. The songs really stick with you and you'll find yourself singing along.
In fact, you maybe even recognize parts of this musical from the Disney movie Wall-E. This is the musical that Wall-E watched over and over again, that he danced along to, and that inspired him to want to hold hands.
Jumanji 2: Bored Game. They took the original idea and sucked all the charm from it, leaving a film where the game aspect is only cosmetic cover for a run-of-the-mill action movie.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is a tribute to Robin Williams because watching it will make you miss him and his irreplaceable talent all the more.
Still, there was one bright spot. You can play a drinking game where you must drink a shot every time you spot the piercing hole above Karen Gillan's navel. Call it, Drink Like a Hole. It'll help you forget this wasted opportunity.
"Don't mess with the class of 99, bitch!"
Crazy that is has been 10 years since this came out. I remember thinking it was crazy that it had been 9 years since American Wedding came out. This one is still pretty funny and I also felt sad seeing them get old, but dammit I want one more in the series!
In my opinion American Reunion is the second best in the American Pie series just below the second film; better than the rest. Seeing the entire original cast back even if some of them were only on the screen for no more than minute felt very nostalgic, and American Reunion did a wonderful job playing off of it. If you are a fan of the series then you will love this film. This film was hilarious, and had a lot of good heart. As mostly others are saying, American Reunion is a very satisfying conclusion to the American Pie series.
The first is much better, due to the late great Robin Williams and musical score by the late James Horner. Welcome to the Jungle lacks the fantasy, mystery or excitement of the first.
I say "first" because this is actually a sequel that starts out right after the 1995 film. That film had it's goofy moments but this one is mostly goofy. I also think there was more to the board game plot of the first. Since there was more surprises with that plot.
Welcome to the Jungle is more Pixels in the Jungle with Breakfast Club like characters. Doesn't capture what I liked about the first. Yet, it some how has 77% good reviews and the superior 1995 film only has 50%.
Keke and the rest of the actors were fantastic. The storyline was OKAY. The movie itself was confusing. I still have no idea what the hell I just watched.
