The reason why it's a new series is pretty simple. When this season fails they can start Doctor Who 2005 back up and pretend this season never happened.
Waaaaaay better than I expected. Slasher comedy fans wet dream. Roth nails the tone for this one expertly. Best kills I may have ever seen from an over the top standpoint. Perhaps 10-15 min shorter would have benefited pacing, but small gripe. Some silly choices here and there, but overall a solid 8.0. Happily surprised.
Movie is 100% pure garbage
I wanted Transformers. Instead I got Dumb and Dumber with guest appearances by Transformers.
I was bored the whole time. The story is stupid, most of the movie is filler, and they even copied everything they could from the Avengers. They even got an Iron Man.
The producers "lets bring a diversity cast this time maybe we can bring a new audience"
The audience" nah it's a crappy movie , no one asked for it to be made, maybe we will stream it if there's nothing else to see"
Enjoyed the opening CGI scenes but as soon as we jumped to 1994 and the dialogue started I turned off.
This movie was great because I fell asleep in the theater and had an amazing nap
Jesus this was the worst one yet, and thats not saying much. Time to call it a day.
This was just a lot of fun. Great romance. Oodles of action. Lots of “suit” gags. Chris Evans being adorable. Great cameo. Ana de Armas was new to me but she was perfect for this role. Great entertainment for an evening. I give this film an 8 (great fun) out of 10. [Romantic Action Comedy]
Not sure why this gets negativity, I thought it was a decent film.
This was so much fun. I love everything Ana i Chris are in. It's sad I am that hyped person, but i really like it have so much fun. I can't believe Chris Evans can be cringe. For me this shows versatility
Saw this tonight as part of the Regal Cinemas $5 Monday Mystery Movie. It was an entertaining movie with plot twists that will twist your beliefs about reality. I will not share any spoilers as requested by Me. Rodriguez when he introduced the movie. You will have to discover its surprises for yourself which I highly encourage you to do.
Grant Gustin should have been given the role of Barry. I mean, he's doing a wonderful job on the show and is a terrific actor. Why create this huge chasm between the TV and cinematic universe by casting different actors for the same character, when there's already a great Barry that everyone loves?
Why not cast Grant Gustin for the part? He is definitely the greatest Barry Allen ever, and a great young actor!
Edit 2022: OK, Ezra, move aside, it's Grant's turn!
I do not deny Ezra was good too, and that the last seasons of Flash have been week sauce (I do agree that most baddies are converted to good after a nice speech, nonetheless I'll keep watching it till the end, I'm that kind of viewer...), but Grant is an established Flash, great actor and apparently a calmer human being than Ezra at the moment. :P
Sorry, I'm team Grant! :)
The proof that this tv show got really bad is that it would be impossible to have 9 seasons with this kind of quality. Watching this series went from being a good time to a challenge.
Don't say that the superhero genre is dying, bad writing is trying to kill it for a long time.
Just back from a secret screening of this and it had no business being so good.
Better and more fun than most of the recent Marvel movies!
These types of episodes are the worst. Designed for lazy writing. The whole doppelgänger thing is soo stupid and used way to much.
Absolutely a waste of time and effort, totally a bad episode.!!
MODERATION EDIT: Don't use swear words here.
One of the worst episodes of the flash. 40 mins of my life that I will never get back. All I want to see is the flash doing flash stuff and I'm stuck watching characters like Cecile and alegra
thank goodness it's the final season, this show lost credibility when they started to focus on Iris. Not even 5min in to the new season, and what a bad start, the acting and the bad lines are everywhere...End it Now!
It's not that I didn't 'get' it, I just didn't see the point of any of this, why was this film even made ?
This movie is dumb.
Something else needs to be pointed out as well. They never show her getting off the dam tower. Lame ending.
Why didn't she just stuff the phone in the bird
I let myself be carried away by this horrible outpouring because I had heard in some places that the film was "not bad at all".
But: This work of art is a waste of time. Maybe a movie for teenie weenies who don't know true classics of similar themes (like "Running Man"). But for me, this is the worst rape of my sense of aesthetics and beauty.
I can't even bring myself to leave constructive criticism. This sprawling bullshit doesn't deserve it.
He has been talking to thin air for 5 episodes now but nobody seems to notice.
I'm old enough to remember the original Hellraiser (1987). That was a true horror film. There were horrible people, doing horrible things. It left you feeling really quite disturbed about the worst aspects of human nature.
The follow-up Hellraiser 2 (1988) managed to recapture a small part of that. But after that it was downhill fast. The sequels were nothing but parodies.
Well, for some reason, Hulu decided to remake it.
Shamefully, the film fails on nearly every level. It's not well written (terrible dialogue) and poorly acted. There's little horror and you simply do not care about anyone or anything happening in it. It doesn't give you a reason to care either. The Cenobites are not scary, or grotesque looking... they just look like cheap make-up and some bad CGI.
Like the later Hellraiser films It has more in common with trashy slasher flicks than anything else. Poorly done ones at that.
As is common today they gender-switched the main role. Did it add anything? Nope. In fact, I keep hearing about what a good performance Jamie Clayton was as The Priest. I don't know what they were watching. There isn't a performance, it's literally all make up and some lines read out flat. Look at the originals: Pinhead's character is all about small, slow movements and looming dread. He's literally an overwhelming threat and you are the prey. Not in this one though.
Or look at the secondary villain. In the original it's Uncle Frank, who is an awful person who fully deserves his fate. Even in the end as he's pulled apart by the Cenobites... he's drawn to it, and much as he tried to run he still wants what the Cenobites offer. In this new version... there's none of that same grimy, disturbing look into subcultures. It's all clean, boring and badly acted.
Watch Hellraiser (1987) and Hellraiser 2 (1988) and stop there. They did it better on much smaller budgets.
Not good. Save your time. Watch something else.
This movie was so unsatisfying.
