The proof that this tv show got really bad is that it would be impossible to have 9 seasons with this kind of quality. Watching this series went from being a good time to a challenge.
Don't say that the superhero genre is dying, bad writing is trying to kill it for a long time.
These types of episodes are the worst. Designed for lazy writing. The whole doppelgänger thing is soo stupid and used way to much.
Absolutely a waste of time and effort, totally a bad episode.!!
MODERATION EDIT: Don't use swear words here.
One of the worst episodes of the flash. 40 mins of my life that I will never get back. All I want to see is the flash doing flash stuff and I'm stuck watching characters like Cecile and alegra
thank goodness it's the final season, this show lost credibility when they started to focus on Iris. Not even 5min in to the new season, and what a bad start, the acting and the bad lines are everywhere...End it Now!
He has been talking to thin air for 5 episodes now but nobody seems to notice.
Agree with the other comments posted on this episode, first part was great and the second part was lacking. At times, I felt I was watching an episode of Power Rangers Turbo with allthe the psychedelic colours flashing on my screen. Give this comment a like if you’re old enough to know what that means!
It is more and more painful to watch every new season. The only good thing about this episode is that we are one episode closer to the ending/cancellation of the series. Seriously, he "beat the boss" by meditating? My god, in the first seasons, we have speedsters fights almost every episode, now we get this shit. And Cecile getting random new powers every 10 minutes just to keep her relevant. I mean, i don't mind the character, but come on. She was a side character of a side character, and now is getting more spotlight that anyone. We finally got rid of Iris after 8 seasons just so they bring her back in the next episode. And now again with Killer Frost, who will not be Killer Frost, but Killer Frost 2.0 or Super Killer Frost or some shit like that. End this torture, please. Is the last one, and we are all done.
Remember that scene from the Half-Blood Prince when Harry forces Dumbledore to drink that cursed liquid to get to the locket? And after every glassful Dumbledore screams "Please stop!" and "Kill me!" to which Harry keeps replying "Just one more, just one more!"?
Yeah. That's how it feels just watching each new Chibnall episode knowing Davies is on the horizon.
What a travesty.
i find it kinda funny how barry and iris video call when he coild literally instantly run there for a face to face catchup
Woot, new episode.
Play........
stupid interview criime eposodes.
what else is there to watch?
Please stopmaking this type of episode.
Usually love this show! But this was the worst episode so far!
Wow the CGI on the fight scene was bad. I can't unsee Fat Flash now.
What the hell is wrong with the writers? All the characters in the last 4 or 5 episodes have reacted to situations in such a stupid way. In this episode, Joe West goes absolutely insane when they suggest that they let Thorn die (please for the love of God let him die, I mean for good this time I can't stand the character) he shouts in a way that he has never done before which was very odd and I must admit a little arousing. Are they using an AI to write the story because it doesn't seem to understand emotions and reactions?
What the actual fuck did I just watch. The writer of this garbage should be taken out the back & shot then people should take turns shitting on him. This is beyond terrible. I think we may need to retire from watching Doctor Who.
if anyone ever wants a definition of the term "anti-climax" then i think it's really great that we now have the perfect example
Its quite sad. The mosters are great and Division makes an excellent adversary.
But there is the bitter taste of the retcon all over it. They obliterated over half a century of great storytelling for this - even if it had been necessary it wouldn't be worth it.
In addition, they squandered another chance to walk it back when the Doctor literally ASKS if what the Master told her was true.
If you look at the ratings the seasons got here in comparison, it is clear that the majority despises what the show has become and most are probably silent because they don't want to be (most of the time falsely) labeled mysoginistic.
Its shameful what has become of this once great show. Even if I could look past the retcon, the season again lacks the elegance of times past where the connection between episodes was subtle and only got revealed at the end with Bad Wolf being the most memorable.
The way they're handling this, Thirteen's closure is disappointing. The stories are good but they're packing too much into single episodes and much of the dialogue is filled with hollow dribble and techno babble. "Survivors of the Flux" is FAR too busy, and when compared to the previous episode, is a clear let down to fans.
It's already been proven that a singular story focus (or two) makes for a winning episode... structured rather than frantically scattered along the timeline is the way to go. The irony is not lost that these episodes mirror the flux in structure (or lack thereof), and that's not a good thing.
It's less about what story is being told, because they really are good ideas, it's more about HOW they're telling them. So much beautiful story telling potential wasted. Ugh!
Too many characters. Too many thick accents. Kind of all over the place. Better than last season but not as good as several season a go. Hope they stop putting in more random character & focus.
And yet another story-line all over the place, when are we going to get an episode that actually makes sense?
Incomprehensible from start to finish. While it's nice to learn some of Vinder's backstory, it isn't written into the story very well, as we're introduced to another character with their own plotline (halfway through the story!). The plot (whatever it is at this point) takes a pause for us to learn a lot of other backstory in the most confusing way possible, on top of adding ANOTHER new mysterious character that the Doctor has a vision of. That's gotten really old really quick.
I don't think we've ever gone from a banger episode right into such a messy episode. This episode left me seriously confused. We are halfway through this season and there's basically no plot progression to speak of. I feel so lost right now.
I like this show so much. It's fresh and smart. Sad that it will be cancelled.
I love Negan's completely unapologetic personality. He owns his shit and knows there's no use in apologizing. I loved how he put it point blank for Maggie. "You still have to decide."
Please let this episode be the last episode ever of Flash 2014.
Unless they replace the writers completely
Omg, this episode is hilariously terrible. How is it possible to make something this terrible?
First of all, why the hell is Barry their father? Afaik their still themselves and "Nora" is the Speed force, a primordial force of nature who's been reborn, they even say that in the episode. So, again, why is he their father? Just because I create my dinner doesn't it's my child. Stop it, it's terribly cringe.
Second, how is Psych faster than Barry? He's literally a speedster supposedly faster than anyone, yet he's caught every damn episode, at this point you might as well take away his powers for good.
And third, why the f*ck does Barry need a stupid, sappy ass speech ever goddamn episode? God, just rehashing the same trash every episode, just do something different, just give us something good. The most exciting thing that's happened the last 4 seasons, apart from Barry meeting Justice League Barry was Frost vs Flash and him turning evil.
This episode was just so awful that I was laughing the entire time because of the stupidity of the episode with them being "family" even though they literally never met each other. I must say I did quite like Psych tho, he adds a much needed dynamic to the show other than the feel good, extremely nice characters of the show.
Honestly, if it wasn't for the Flash being one of my favorite superheroes of all time since I was a kid, I would've stopped watching this a long time ago. I sincerely hope this show ends for good at the end of this season, Grant is a great actor and deserves better than to waste away on this God awful show.
