Jeff and Deanie have recently relocated to the Santa Clarita area of Los Angeles County from North Carolina. They had an updated home in North Carolina with plenty of room for their three boys, but they're finding this hard to replicate on their budget in Southern California. They're also hoping to find a home with enough land for farm animals, inlcuding goats, chickens, and a peacock.

Novelist, Suzanne, and her husband, Jesse, have returned to Phoenix, Arizona, with their two children after losing their Oregon home in the Great Recession. Now that one of Suzanne's books has hit the best seller list, and Jesse has started a new career, they're ready to buy again. But finding a large home with quirky character and lush landscapping is going to be a challenge in this desert town. Will they stretch their budget to get their dream home, or keep their eye on the bottom line this time around?

When Kenneth was stationed on Oahu by the Air Force, he and wife, Alina, knew they lucked out. While they would love to buy a single family house, they're willing to consider townhomes and condos, as long as they don't have neighbors above them. But with a budget of $400,000 can they find a place that meets their wants in one of the priciest cities?

A new job has Eric and his wife Jill relocating from Chicago to Kansas City. Jill has her heart set on one of the area's older homes. Eric would prefer a newer home, and a big yard. With a budget of up to $600,000 they're confident they should be able to find exactly what they want. But in the high demand area where they're looking, these Chicagoans may be in for sticker shock.

Polish-born, Michal, and his wife, Katie, have moved all around the world. Now they're settling down with their young daughter in charming Winston-Salem. He wants one of the area's historic homes, while she'd prefer something low maintenance and new. North Carolina sets the stage for this clash of cultures.

Evan and Allison are on the hunt for a vintage farmhouse for their growing family in historic Delaware County, Pennsylvania. He's looking for a fixer upper with some land, similar to the 15 acre horse farm where they've been staying. She'd prefer a lower maintenance move-in ready place. But with a relatively low $300,000 budget in this pricey enclave, their biggest challenge might be finding anything at all.

A former Marine and his wife who have just had their first baby are ready to put down roots in San Antonio, Texas. In order to accommodate family and friends who come to town to visit them and their little one, they're intent on finding a home with at least four bedrooms. But finding one that fits into their budget and also doesn't need major renovation might be a challenge.

Twenty-something Philadelphia resident, Alyssa, is tired of throwing money away on rent, so she's decided it's time to buy a home. To help with the mortgage, she's lined up her friend and sorority sister, Audra, to move in and pay rent. Alyssa's looking for a classic Philadelphia rowhouse or condo. But what's most important of all is a large rooftop deck or patio so she can host lots of parties. Audra, on the other hand, is more concerned about amenities. Can Alyssa keep the good times rolling, and keep her future tenant happy?

MJ and Mary are newlyweds living in downtown Chicago, looking to buy their first home together. MJ wants to stay in the city and buy a condo in one of the city's famous downtown high-rises. Mary grew up on the outskirts of the city, and would rather buy a place with some land and a backyard for their three dogs.

Edmund and Tequilla need to find a home in Columbus, Ohio, to share with their combined three children before their fast approaching wedding. But she wants a big yard, closed floor plan, and basement tornado shelter. He wants a small yard, open floor plan, and no basement. Will one of them compromise before wedding bells ring?

Jim and Maureen moved with their 3 sons from Colorado to the Seattle suburbs for his job in the tech industry. But even with a budget of $600,000, finding a house that works for their active family of five has been a challenge. They need rooms large enough to accommodate their oversized furniture, as well as a three car garage so that one bay can store Jim's many boxes of books.

Television actors, Eric and Sarah, are eager to escape the L.A. grind and buy a vacation home in the mountain paradise of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They want a rustic place with great views of the mountains, and it must be large enough for their whole extended family to enjoy. With several stunning properties that fit their criteria, the biggest challenge will be narrowing it down to one.

Zeke and Kate aren't shy with their opinions as they house hunt in Houston. She's pushing for an updated ranch, he wants a vintage bungalow. She wants a tricked-out kitchen, he's more focused on an over-the-top backyard. Who'll win this battle of Texas-sized wish lists?
