I know we all got really invested in Casey's final scene (although that long time coming, like since she got into Clayton), but I didn't get this thing with Elsa's mom. She's having dementia? But she remembered the day Elsa went picking cherries...
Anyway, it's strange that it wasn't addressed properly further in the episode (although i understand they have a lot to unpack in short 30 minutes episodes).
I hope they'll do something about it towards the end.
That's a very painful situation, to realize your parent can be kind and loving to you only when they're not in their right mind and don't actually know it's you...

I usually really dislike Izzie, but it really got me, I used to be the support system too, that is indeed very hard.

Not a fan of poop jokes, and I don't care so much about the Otis/Maeve relationship, I'm more interested in seeing Adam-Rahim and Jackson\Cal relationships evolve. And Hope admitting that her problem with sex stems from her own dissatisfaction in her life and going into therapy with Jean.
And the fallout between Jean and Jakob was quite expected.

Mer got really bitter in this episode, although I really relate to her hate of weddings, I'm the same, love my husband and being a family, don't care for the fake show-off, no offense. The pairing with Riggs is cute, can be interesting to watch, although I sort of expected him hooking up with Maggie.
So sad about Kyle, but Edwards should have never broken up with him if she liked him, I don't know how will she live with that.
Feels like Amelia is making a mistake (again).
Callie is ruined beyond repair I'm afraid, and that's really selfish of her trying to fill the void of her overall failure with her 6-years-old daughter, who might already have her own plans at Arizona's, she's not a rag doll for Callie to move around as she like.
I'm starting to think that Callie is a highly selfish, narcissistic and toxic mother (looking back on when Sofia told her she hugs her too tight and for too long - so true). Poor Sophia.

Callie got it coming, and I'm not even ashamed for gloating. The way she told Arizona "You're a good mother too" was SO condescending, she obviously believed she was automatically a better mother because she's her biological mom.
Anyway, this was a terrible storyline IMO because again - too much fuss about ONE YEAR, and for a woman that she knows for only few months. Callie wasn't so volatile even at the beginning of the series when she married George too fast, when she was at least a decade younger.

Meredith wasn't right siding with Callie, also - Zola and Sophia are friends since almost infancy, so she'd also contribute to the deprivation of a close friend. Aren't these little girls both been through enough? They both don't have their dads around, their moms are super-busy, so at least they had each other :(

Really annoying.
I love Mer's Zen though - "It just sucks". Maybe I need some of that too.

I like that Meredith roots for everyone's love lives.
Didn't like that she automatically took Callie's side, excluding Arizona, that's so unfair to her, but at least she has Richard.
It's a weird world where Karev is being consistently more adequate.

Anyhow, I see this is the end of the line for Callie in the series, I guess we won't see her at S13. But so sad she had to go so badly, after having so many great moments (even and especially the musical episode!), being with both men and women, being a mom, doing amazing surgeries and working on the bionic limbs project with Derek.
So, so sad.

I'm conflicted about Warren, seems like he's going to do something reckless again while at the hospital and possibly end up in jail.

It's so stupid to make Callie look so stupid...
I mean, the grant is just for a year, what's a year in a grown-ups' life? Nothing! But that's an eternity for a child, so all this messing around is not justified, just take it on a long-distance for a year and if it doesn't work - than it wasn't meant to be. That's should be the reasonable approach of a sane person who is also a co-parent. Awful writing, tbh. If I had to play that character, I'd be really pissed by now (maybe she is, she has this absent-looking eyes recently, with real fatigue, circles under the eyes stuff). So maybe it's the end of the story for this character? And a poor one I must say.

Warren is really aggressive in not accepting his guilt and punishment, which only shows that he needs a time-out.

That was so, so good!
I'm feeling the vibe of the season coming to an end.

And finally, perfect Ben Warren isn't so perfect anymore. And I love this angle of the job, that surgery is addictive and sometimes all the doctors want is to cut, cut, cut. It translates well to real life too.

Again, I understand why the show keeps going despite many of the leads not being in it anymore, the stories are just THAT good.

It was nice to see Paz from "That 70s show" as a hunk at last, and I liked their dynamic with Stephanie, and she really needs a boyfriend, maybe it'll make her a bit more likeable. And it'll be refreshing, having a partner who isn't a doctor. Or a patient.

But as a bit of a redhead myself, I have to admit that having someone saying "Oh, the REDHEAD?" sounds somewhat racist to me. Food for thought.

I'm really over Jo and I don't have enough of Alex lately :( I want him to have a good relationship at last, but I guess it's not in the cards here, I already feel him slowly drifting away (I blame it on the lame Jo-Alex storyline).
April is really a hypocrite.

I kind of feeling Catherine Avery here. There's a girl in her son's life who wasn't much reliable during their relationship (as hard as it was), who often doesn't care about his opinion and feels free to get up and leave when she feels like and blame him for not being up and ready when she comes back, and she withdrew an important information from him.
So now the biggest matriarch around wants to have the upper hand.

Yep, with a mother like this you're never really out of the nest, but that was pretty obvious.
She'll probably learn the error of her ways eventually (and Richard will be the one to give her the heated and enlightening speech, of course), but her decision here is not unreasonable.

I got angry at April at first, but actually they're both in the wrong here, it's like they're just clearly too young for any kind of family, because when you're in one you inevitably have to compromise and reign your temper (especially with baby on the way).

Owen's spiraling is what we used to with Cristina, too bad Amelia didn't stay with her bf from "Private Practice", he was definitely better for her mental health and sobriety.

Ok, so maybe Thorpe isn't a psycho, but just dreamy like that. I wonder how will he react to the fact she has 3 kids. I wonder if he isn't younger than her, this can be an interesting angle.

This Thorpe guy looks like the handsome dude who'll turn out some kind of a psychopath. He wasn't really adequate until now - first attacking them, afterwards coming at Meredith too harshly - I know it's the fairy tale stuff, but in real life these people usually turn out to be not so great, so we shall wait and see. I wouldn't want to see Mer end up in a domestic violence situation, but is there anything awful she didn't endure in these series?

Michonne should have said, "I told you I would kill you" and chop the Governor's head off with the machete. I'm afraid the woman might have missed or something, and he would still be alive. We're really ready for another villain.
This felt like an end of the season, and it was so good after the last couple of boring episodes.
So sad about Herschel, but he did so much good while he could, and he gave Rick his final blessing.
Judith might still be alive on the bus with everyone.

I loved how unfazed Meredith were when Alex asked her about which one of her babies she'd let die.
Alex being so amazing - it is always a sign of departure from the show. And I guess the renewed mention of Izzie is a premonition too :(((
This Delucca guy is ok, but I'm head over heels about him yet.
Jackson and April - sad, but kinda expected, I'm not sure I want them to work it out, maybe they both have better partners.

Everyone giving birth really early because what else can you do, and having a tradition built around a basketball championship win from 25 years ago... Yes, makes your life feel really good in comparison.
Felt so sorry for Erin the whole episode, hoped that somehow she won't be the one murdered, very sad, though expected conclusion of the episode :(

It was all nice and cool, but something was missing. I guess having no Derek and no Cristina is really, really weird (even though he really pissed me off and the ending of his story felt rushed).
Also, you'd think she'd come for the funeral or participate from afar or something. So all of this is nice and warm and fuzzy, and I like Owen and Amelia together, but still something's missing for me.
I'd love to have more Alex before I'll lose him too.
Geez, this series are really masochistic stuff by now.
And yeah, the homophobia issue is getting kinda old, as well as religion bashing. Life isn't so black and white. I hope it'll get better.

I'm with Amelia on kicking Meredith's ass, she SHOULD have called her for a kind of second opinion and moral support.
I guess being used to be alone with her grief and problems took over common sense. I can understand her, but that's not right. Amelia is her family now, I hope they'll figure this out.

I think Jo's not going to like Meredith and the kids being at Alex\Mer house, but this is going to be interesting.

My, I always worried that Diane rightousness will come back to bite her in the ass... And finally it did.
Great show, I actually don't miss the departed colleagues (Adrian and Luca), want to see more of Carmen, Marissa, the "Judge", Julius and hope Kurt will be ok.
Mr. Croizer and her baby - not so much.
Really fun episodes so far, especially considering how I usually hate series with 60 minutes episodes :see_no_evil:

Ok, so I watch this few years behind, and obviously I saw this coming. But I wasn't a fan of Derek recently (or maybe ever, apart of being charmed by him once in a while, McDreamy and all that),
Despite all his words about Mer being the love his life in this episode.
TBH, in many occasions in the past, his actions really didn't match his high words, and that was really annoying.
So I'm not that devastated.
Meredith will really be the sun now (at least for a while, I guess).

One thing that was really weird is why Meredith didn't call Amy at least? Perhaps she'd want to say goodbye to her brother, or even see if there's still any chance for him?
Meredith will probably get an earful from her in the next episode because of that.

I'd actually love to see Callie with a guy again. I thought they had some hints of closeness with Hunt while working on the vets projects. That would be weird, but weirder things have happened in this Grey's world.
Also, I think the reason the series survived for as long as it did is because of the great, gradual and natural progress of Meredith's character, I really like her at the moment (her husband - not so much, but I know it's going to be all over soon because - INTERNET SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO JUST STARTED WATCHING GREY'S RECENTLY - so I'll bear with him while he's around).
