Grey's Anatomy: 8x08 Heart-Shaped Box

I'll probably be holding the un-popular opinion, but I didn't really liked both Izzie and George, so the tear-jerking didn't work for me.
I'm a Karev kind of gal, so I'm always happy when he catches a break :sunglasses:

I really loved the musical bit, the idea that it's Callie's near death experience is executed brilliantly, and as a music lover I was really impressed by everyone, truly fun episode, and the fact that both survived eventually is great too, although not typical

The Affair: 5x09 509

I really love the #Metoo twist, feels like a nice bow towards "The Morning Show" with the ambivalence, and kind of makes me think they're going to kill off Noah at the end. Not sure how I feel about that.

Mom: 7x20 Big Sad Eyes and a Antique Hot Dog

Ok, so the finale wasn't really a finale due to the Covid-19 situation, and now I read that Anna Faris is leaving the show after season 7. At first, it upset me, but actually, it makes sense, because Christy was really useless in the series at this point, maybe that's why she left. I wonder how it is possible to go on without her, though. The reasonable solution would be bringing back her daughter to live with Bonnie since the two of them had basically resolved their issues, so there are other realms to explore here and I hope they will.
I always see my series through, even when they go really downhill (which is not the case just yet, but I'm having some doubts here).

Really enjoyed this season, the only thing that didn't click with me was Sturgis appearance in the video Sheldon made, wasn't he supposed to be still aggravated by Sheldon's accusations and attempting to take credit? Maybe should have been mentioned somewhere. I just hope it'll continue, the family storylines are great, I love George Sr., Missi, Georgie and even pastor Jeff. This spinoff was awesome, I even shared it with my own kind of Meemaw, my 70+ mother-in-law, who never watched TBBT and probably wouldn't get it, but really liked Young Sheldon, so I hope we'll get at least 1-2 season more.

So I felt that in this episode we saw Holden actually losing his game (being bored as Wendy pointed out), not seeing beyond the weirdness of the killers, and being compliant with the investigator (I feel the Holden we knew before would push it further). So we probably see his fall-down due to his panic attack and perhaps the meds that somehow numbed him?
I can't wait to see how it'll play out, as well as Wendy's attempt to have some kind of personal life - maybe she'll get in trouble because of that?

Grey's Anatomy: 4x15 Losing My Mind

Karev is my favorite character, but he's really weird with this Rebecca story, it was obvious she's not right in the head. And as much as I dislike Izzie for her often self-centernecce, they're probably the only couple that could work in these series.

Younger: 5x03 The End of the Tour

Considering our agenda these days - Charles should've asked Liza why did she have to lie about her age and make a big story out of it about the ageism in the industry and the society generally, it's like a social experiment. Better than all the books they're doing now (the marriage vacation, as well as the whitehouse guy).
They're very self-absorbed, these characters and I don't think the writing was too on-point here. Too much whining on all sides - Charles, Josh (he's gone from cute and mature to absolutely redicolous and naive). I'm always loyal to series I watch, but meanwhile this is kinda boring and annoying.

How surreal is that? Around the time I watched this episode, I began seeing an ad for an application that would warn parents if their child gets bullied in social media (Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp) - so perhaps the future isn't so far? I liked the episode, although it could have been more detailed, I think it would be more interesting to show more stages of the relationship and the points where a mother's reasonable concern became an obsession. I also liked the scene with the doctor, when she immediately assumed Sara is on the spectrum (without having a slightest thought that it might be her own doing). So maybe this one should have been 90 minutes, instead of episode 1, which overstay its welcome IMO.
I think this episode is more interesting for parents of young children (like myself). Also, I believe that if this family had another parent (not granddad, because we always have our own issues with parents and sometimes take to the other extreme with our own children) - things could be different because the mother would at least have another perspective on things.
Anyhow, great experience as always

That was a great moment between Gloria and Claire, also good parenting advice (for young parents like me out there). Finally, I'm glad I'm watching this season, it was kinda blah until now.

Love & Friendship

Why the bad rating? This movie is great, I didn't read this specific book of Austin, but it probably could be a quick fix for our fast-paced days when no one has the time for those "way too long of a books". Kate Beckinsale is perfect for the role, the movie is pleasantly conservative and not set for banal entertainment, some quotes about parenthood and religion were worth cherishing and the whole idea seems so positive to me - sometimes a woman just knows what's right for every one ;) Great one for our troubled times.

The X-Files: 9x04 4-D

I think it would be nice to have few seasons with Dogget and Reyes running the X-Files (even without Scully - they're so great each one to self and as a team too), too bad there was only this one.

The Big Bang Theory: 9x21 The Viewing Party Combustion

People around here are WAY too touchy it's kinda annoying already. People aren't perfect, relationships aren't perfect and stop seeking offensive stuff everywhere you go and go get yourself some "Family Matters" with Steve Urkel always made fun of (just an example). That's what sitcoms are usually about. I love TBBT, the characters are changing and evolving like real persons, and Raj's behavior is actually pretty common, once someone socially awkward gets some attention, it first makes him go over the top. He probably will get dumped by both girls soon and learn the lesson.

I read 60% of the book before watching (my husband who's also a watch-body was impatient) - and I felt the movie was done in a sloppy way, miss Pelegrine's character was played in a way that made her totally unlikable IMO, seemed like a bad witch caging poor children and using them - not a kind caregiver as it would make sense. Emma seemed to jump over her loved one's grandson pretty quickly and that seems kinda sick and unfaithful for someone who basically living the same day over and over again and supposed to still be attached to Abe. And visually it looks like Tim Burton ran out of his creative fuel.
"Dark Shadows" is a masterpiece comparing to this. Forgetful movie where everybody are evil and selfish, but some more than the others. It's a sad time to live in if these are our fiction and role models... Still going to finish the book, though.

OMG, this was the most amazing thing I saw on a sitcom, God explained so well, so good for grievers and in general - so reasurring. Only thing I might complain about is Bonnie sleeping with evening eye make-up, not cool and unbelieavable :)))

The Water Diviner

Russell Crowe really nailed this film on his part, both acting and directing (such interesting frames and angles, pleasure to the eye and I believe a good material for directors' educating systems). But aside from that I feel that some parts of the film weren't historically accurate, especially the principle of Australians - they were recruited as a former British colony, that's all. And in general, a Russian woman playing Turkish one and speaking with a Russian accent, not Eastern at all - seems kinda unbelievable to my critically obnoxious nature :) But as a fan of Crowe - he's great here, as an actor and director.

2 Broke Girls: 5x09 And The Sax Problem

Well, I think Caroline sang very nicely, but they could at least try to show the actor the basics of how to hold the sax to make it look the slightest bit believable... or at least shoot it in a way it wasn't so obvious (not talking about the Early Birds, that's way to much hassle...)
