That was easily one of the best Phil-Jay moment for me.
I really loved this movie, it keeps emotionally invested. And I loved the final idea, that actually there's no real certainty that our life has any more sense and purpose than of the clones. So make youself useful. That's the vibe I got from it and it's not that depressinb if you ask me. Motivating actually.
Phil and Cam should spend more time together, great vibe there :)
The ending of every episode of this series is a masterpiece of camera work and music. Really stunning, and makes you want to continue watching on one hand, and revel in it on the other.
Amazing how a character predicted own death so well in this episode. Powerful and sad stuff. I hope we could see more and more of Omar, this one is truly addictive. And it doesn't feel like it was shot 13 years ago. Just a great, unique pace that demands your patience.
Missy was amazing in this episode ❣
This episode had the hottest onscreen kiss I ever seen!!!!
So sad about Barb, It's like noone cared for her enough to give her strength to fight for her life a bit harder.
I actually see the depth in this series, having a relatively long and interesting life before marriage and kids may seems like we're loosing ourselves when giving up a part of who we are, and in our desperation to cling into our own former/real persona we may get the wrong ideas. The sex scenes are sometimes unnecessary, but I do feel this brings a new perspective to old ideas -more female one (with objectification of males, that's true).
This feels like a woman to woman talk, explicit and unapologetic, and It's probably doesn't warrant a re-watch, but worth its salt.
Very disappointed by Andrea, to be honest. Girl, you can't have it both ways. It's ok to choose the guy, but don't act like you're a friend to the people you're betraying. The series is so good now, can't stop binging.
I love how they make this irrational behavior seems very logical here and there. It's also interesting how they are so alike, that if they weren't "beefing" they could've actually been friends or more, considering George is really annoying Amy with his spiritualism and she'd feel more natural with Danny who despite all his flaws just tells things as they are. I think this series is really refreshing.
Liked the ending. Obviously, she'll stay in Paris, or go back to Chicago briefly and come back later :)
I liked the relationship with Alfie. Unlike Gabriel (who's like a girl sometimes in his actions, although his eyes are to die for) he's just a guy-guy, childish at first, but pretty much consistent after he developed real interest in Emily.
This season was great, I loved the fact they're going on with this. This will be a fun series to rewatch for us all Paris-suckers :)
Is that even legal, making smoking so alluring like Sylvie does?
Silly and fun, we all need such vacation.
Just when Daryl got used to real human connection, he has to be around assholes again :(
It was a great episode, and I didn't miss Christy at all, sorry. I hope to see Andy and Jill relationship in the future episodes
I think Max&Randy is the thing I loved most in these series, that was a couple with true chemistry, "beyond the comfort zone" flair and just sexy. The only thing I'll really miss due to the cancellation of the show. It was good while it lasted and it really lost its point this season, since they're not really broke, even if they still "work" in the diner. Plus, I'm sure Randy would've pitch in, 10,000$ for a fancy lawyer - that's nothing. I wish we could get a proper ending episode with Max's wedding, Caroline's dad showing up, Han finding a cute girl... Well, girl can dream...
I think the season was great, I don't really understand why everybody aren't happy about it. I guess not all the viewers can accept the evolution of the characters and the way life may change things, but as a show aimed for some socially-challenged people, I think the show is doing a great job at showing that even people like Sheldon have feelings and can have meaningful and constantly evolving relationships. And if some of the viewers don't have it yet - well, it took the people on the show almost 10 years to get there, so there's hope for everyone out there! I love it and I'm sure soon enough I'll have a rewatch of the whole thing :)
Howard should've just grabbed the ball from the rover and throw it and it would have been epic and reassuring, but as it was - it just seemed like a failure :( I know the that's what the sitcom is about, nerds being losers most of the time, but right now it makes me way too sad.
I'll be totally ok if for the next season we'd have no Sheldon and Mary but only the rest of the family who stayed in Texas. We already had Chuck Lorre productions going on without one of the titular characters at "Mom".
The whole George situation, wondering when he's going to die reminds me of a similar plotting in "This is is", and I'm even more fond of this particular dad :see_no_evil:
Great ending, I'm really glad I watched it. It was refreshing to see people my age (close to 40) living these kinds of emotions, while delivering a truly "and they lived happily ever after" ending, and the narration was great.
Don't get all the hate, Michael, the main character is kinda the typical real estate agent that supposed to be cheery all the time (think Phil from Modern Family), and he's a self-concious people-pleaser, which can be tiring, so I get his man and his reasons to stay away from him.
I didn't watch all of "Sexy and the City", wasn't a fan, but I loved other Darren Star projects (90210, Younger, Emily in Paris), and this definitely has their fun vibe.
And seeing rich older gays struggle with their personal life is at least original, so I want to know how it goes.
Didn't like it and don't buy this fairytale and "meant to be together, now we meant to be apart".
I think Kate was very selfish for most of the time (being late to the therapist? It's a matter of responsibility!) and really didn't let Toby do his thing with the kids UNTIL he started doing it outside when they separated. She sort of had her relationship with Philip even before all that, and perhaps she really didn't forgive Toby for loosing weight and becoming all "sophisticated"? Really, I don't feel her side here... And the therapist was really useless anyhow.
:( perhaps that's my own issues with divorce. I don't have a good feeling about this as most of the commentators here. Made me kind of depressed actually.
I really liked Roland trying to be nice to David by the end. It was like a sparkle of a rare sensitivity in him.
Loved this, despite feeling reluctant at first. Didn't read the books, and the show doesn't inspire me to fill that gap at all.
I didn't like Daphne AT ALL, nor visually, nor as a person, and I'd wish I didn't have to witness all her moanings. And the chemistry with Simon was so-so, although he himself was quite alright regardless. I understand that the actor doesn't want to continue with the project. Can't blame him, the pairing was really off.
Still, I liked the concept, the writing, the music, and the staging overall, so I hope that the next season will be centered around other characters, mainly Anthony, Eloise, Benedict, and the Modiste. Oh, and the Queen, in her quest to unmask Lady Whistledown.
And hope we'll see the future of the Featherington clan and Marina, of course.
Very much "Desperate Housewives" vibes in here!
I'm weirdly fond of Bertie.
So I took a day to gather my thoughts about the finale, and I figured out what it was so disturbing about this for me.
I think all of us who loves Dexter felt comfortable with him as a representation of our own "misfit-ness", and by extension - some dark sides. We found comfort in rooting for him, even if it felt "bad". And I, personally, was happy knowing that he has a place in this world (i.e the lumberjack ending).
By killing him off, I feel the society becoming even more unaccepting towards those who are different. You can't BE if you're not right, fix yourself or get eliminated.
I feel that's where the world is going, and this finale is a representation of that.
I'm usually not the person of "back in my time", but now I feel that the 00's were times when we all got more ability to be ourselves (within the limits of morality, of course), and now this door is closing with the lack of privacy, the judgmental approach and the whole "cancel" culture.
So that's the end of Dexter for me, as well as the end of an era and a portion of my own youth.
Well, I guess it was good while it lasted. Still, feel kinda sad.
I should have been ready for this, but I wasn't.
The only thing I'm curious about now is what the heck the last 2 episodes will be about now that the bad guy is arrested.
That was so, so brilliant.
Loved the love showed between Kurt and Diane, inspirational for us, aging gals and dudes. They're so cute and romantic, and their differences just make their relationship much more interesting.
Loved Marissa reminiscing about her dad, If Eli Gold could pop in the next season, that could be really awesome.
The climax of Wackner court was good and quite surprising, although at the bottom line it's obvious that any rebel against the ruling system leads eventually to anarchy.
I think this series really bringing in something new in terms of narratives and ideas of current times. I wonder if it'll be later viewed as a reflection of 2020's.
