Vampire Academy

This whole series seems to have been set up with the idea of being as woke as (not at all) possible and don't give a crap about the source material, just use the name and the general thought without being or even attempting to be canon. Rubbish crap. Too bad they didnt manage to cancel it after the very first episode already. This should have never made it past a pilot.

Beach House

there are unfortunately only 2 good things about this movie:
- Willa
- not destroyed by wokeness

Other then that it's just boring :(

The Last of Us: 1x03 Long, Long Time

This was seriously depressing shit. Didn't like it.

Also major goof: Joel and Ellie walk across a path in the forest that's been treaded so often its free of vegetation.... Wait. What? It's it zombie-highway? After 10 years that would be overgrown. For sure.
The grass near the crashed plane looks also as if it was neatly cutted by a machine last week.

Irma Vep

This series feels more like a documentary about making the French film classic, then an entertaining series.
Alicia is sweetly fragile in her role as an actress, becoming more powerful when she becomes who she plays. Rene Vidal is unfortunately the only really interesting character. Is he really crazy, or just....?
I haven't added a rating since I can't decide yet if i like this series or not.

Nightbooks

The boy is a good actor.
Nothing else is good about this movie.
Constant screaming. Annoying.
Too scary for small kids.

Lost in Space

It does have that original feeling of family alone on an unhabited 'island' with a lot of family drama, but too much family drama for my taste. I dont feel much connection to the main characters, I couldnt care less if any of them gets hurt or whatever - the kids are just too annoying. It is a nice adaption to a sci-fi series, but the occurrences are badly written and not very realistic. Seems to be aimed at being 8-15 y/o + parents. I watched 3 episodes and dont really feel like I want to watch another few.

The whole atmosphere and way of writing feels very much like "Away". Also too much drama, too little sci-fi.

Marvel's Cloak & Dagger

Too much racial stuff and way too much wannebe-political correctness. Add a weird messy story to the mix and perhaps a focus on a viewing audience of around 16-17 and you got a.... really crap series.
I still gave it 3 episodes, but gave up as there was no sign of improvement, not the story picking up any pace.

Live by Night

Maybe if you're American, you care about this part of history and perhaps it's interesting for you.... but for the average European this movie is boring and uninteresting.

Jodorowsky's Dune

I've always been a huge fan of the Dune universe. I've played the original Dune game on the pc, read the Frank Herbert books (all of them - not sure if I read the books first and then played the game or vice versa) and of course also - mother of all RTS games - Dune 2 and later Dune 2000.
Most of the movies and productions in this 'franchise' have been a bit disappointing so far; I did enjoy however the 2 low budget TV movies "Frank Herbert's Dune" (2000) and "Frank Herbert's Children of Dune" (2003).
I hope the newly announced Dune for next year will be really the first true big motion picture which will do justice to Frank Herbert's creation
